Stay With Me

Molly Yun's gaze was sharp as she shot a look over.

Adrian immediately shut his mouth and stopped talking.

Adrian chuckled softly, "Alright, alright, I was wrong, I was wrong!"

He could be tough with anyone, but in front of Molly Yun, he just couldn't.

He was bold enough to scheme against Charles Yin and Max Mo, but as soon as he saw Molly Yun, he subconsciously felt smaller and just wanted to make her happy.

Molly Yun also felt helpless about this man and turned to walk away.

In the days that followed, Molly Yun personally nursed Adrian back to health.

Every morning before breakfast, Molly Yun would give Adrian acupuncture, brew medicine, and plan his meals.

At first, the people around them were unconvinced.

But as Adrian's health improved day by day, they had no choice but to accept it!

One day, Molly Yun walked into Adrian's room carrying a tray.

Adrian happened to be changing his clothes.

Molly Yun hadn't expected him to leave the door open, and she was so startled she stepped back several times, lowering her head and saying, "I didn't see anything."

Adrian buttoned up his shirt and smiled, "Even if you did, it's no big deal."

Adrian looked much better now, and even his complexion was normal again, no longer that ghastly pale.

Once Adrian finished tidying up, Molly Yun entered with her head down, set the tray on the table, and said to him, "I'll give you one last acupuncture session and brew medicine today, then you'll be fine."

Adrian sat quietly and looked at Molly Yun. Suddenly, he said, "Let's not rush with the acupuncture and medicine today. Will you stay with me for a while?"

Molly Yun's fingers trembled slightly. "Okay."

Adrian rested his chin in his hand, gazing at Molly Yun with such tenderness it seemed his eyes might overflow.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Molly Yun forced herself to look away. "Let's eat first."

"Eat with me." Adrian's voice carried a hint of playful sweetness.

Ever since Molly Yun took on the task of looking after Adrian, something subtle had changed between them—like a chemical reaction.

From time to time, Adrian would surprise Molly Yun with little gifts—handmade, each one unique.

Molly Yun couldn't help but admire his creativity and skill as she held those gifts.

They were just small crafts made from wood and bamboo, yet each felt so alive, almost as if they could breathe.

These days, Molly Yun’s windowsill was filled with all sorts of little trinkets.

They weren’t worth much, but each was full of heartfelt meaning.

Molly Yun no longer bristled at Adrian like she used to. She quietly accepted his kindness.

Maybe it was Molly Yun’s gentle response that made Adrian even softer, even more devoted to her.

The two of them shared a quiet understanding, no longer mentioning the outside world—just talking about things untouched by ordinary life.

When Molly Yun heard Adrian’s request, she hesitated for a moment, then nodded, "Okay."

Adrian was overjoyed. He took the initiative to hold Molly Yun’s hand and led her to the dining room.

Molly Yun resisted instinctively for a moment, but quickly let Adrian lead her away.

Adrian personally pulled out a chair for Molly Yun, serving her with utmost care.

"What’s for breakfast today?" Adrian joked, "My housekeeper?"

"Something better today." Molly Yun replied, "You’re much healthier now, so you can eat something different. You’ve had medicinal meals for days—I bet you’re tired of them, right?"

"Not at all." Adrian smiled, "As long as you made it, I like it. Even if I ate it every day, I’d never get tired of it."

"You’re just saying that." Molly Yun scooped a bowl of porridge from the pot and handed it to Adrian, "This is made with aged oak from the mountains as fuel, fresh silver carp from the lake, paired with mountain greens and ham, plus a few nourishing herbs. Try it and see how it tastes."

Adrian took a big sip and grinned, "Delicious! It tastes amazing. Is there anything in this world you’re not good at? You know medicine, you can cook, you’re talented in everything. How could I ever let you go?"

Molly Yun quietly withdrew her hand, not responding to Adrian’s words, and gave him another pair of chopsticks with a side dish. "This is fresh wild greens that just sprouted after the rain. In Chinese medicine, they help cleanse the blood and balance out the tonics you’ve had lately. Try some?"

Adrian took another bite and nodded, "It's delicious."

Molly Yun was about to give Adrian more food, but Adrian suddenly pressed her hand down. "You eat too."

"...Okay." Molly Yun used the serving chopsticks to take some food for herself, then lowered her head and started eating.

Everything from the mountains is truly wonderful.

Whether it’s the flavor or the texture, it’s all exceptional.

Adrian watched Molly Yun finish a bowl of porridge and a plate of freshly steamed meat buns, his eyes gentle, a satisfied smile spreading across his face.

After the meal, Adrian took Molly Yun for a walk along the small path near the villa.

The path was narrow—just wide enough for two people to walk side by side. No cars could get in here.

And the path twisted and turned, winding in interesting ways.

For the past few days, Molly Yun had been taking Adrian on walks around here, helping him exercise a bit. That’s why Adrian was recovering so quickly.

"The weather’s really nice today," Adrian said, slowing his pace to walk beside Molly Yun.

"Yeah." Molly Yun glanced up at the sky. The leaves overhead shaded them just enough—keeping them from getting too hot or sunburned, but not blocking out the sky completely.

The shade was just right.

"Nono..." Adrian called out.

"Call me Molly Yun," she replied calmly. "Nora Yun is dead. The one living now is Molly Yun."

Adrian chuckled softly. "But I still like calling you Nono."

Molly Yun couldn’t be bothered to respond.

"Nono, if I’d met you a little earlier—before Eric Jiang did—would you have liked me?" Adrian asked.

"No," Molly Yun replied coldly.

"Liar," Adrian said cheerfully. "You answered so fast, you’re obviously lying."
