Bold Little Kitty

12/2/2025

Ethan Gray let out a cold snort, lowering his gaze to look at her. The look in his eyes was unmistakable—a clear threat. So what if I am threatening you?

Yuna spun angrily in circles on the table. "Despicable, shameless, vile! Go ahead and eat then. I dare you to eat nothing but cat meat for the rest of your life!"

Ethan Gray's lips twitched. Only eat cat meat? It seemed this little kitty wasn't so foolish after all.

Since being tough wasn't working, Ethan Gray switched tactics. He reached out to smooth her fur, gently coaxing, "If you behave and stop playing with those stray cats, I'll have the kitchen make your favorite dishes every day, how about that?"

Yuna squatted on the table, letting him smooth her fur, her anger almost dissipated. Hearing his words, she rolled her eyes and said, "The kitchen already makes my favorite dishes every meal!"

Ethan Gray pinched her ear. This infuriating little kitty—he couldn't afford to be too nice to her! "If you don't behave, there won't be any more, not even plain rice!"

At his words, Yuna's eyes immediately welled with tears. "You actually want to starve me!" she whimpered. She was terrified of going hungry, but she really wanted to keep Shadow. Shadow was proof she wasn't just a cat!

Ethan Gray poked her fluffy, conflicted little face with his finger, utterly unrepentant as he said, "If you behave, you won't go hungry!"

Yuna cast him a resentful glance, turned around, and pointed her little paw, nose twitching, "I want to eat that!"

A triumphant smile appeared on Ethan Gray's face. This little kitty was so greedy—just threaten her with food, and getting her to behave was a piece of cake!

Yuna turned her grief and anger into appetite, saying nothing as she ate with all her might. In the end, she lay sprawled on her back on the table, paws rubbing her round belly, groaning—she was stuffed!

Ethan Gray watched her uncomfortable state and frowned, both amused and exasperated. Yuna noticed his gaze, turned her face away, and ignored him. She couldn't care less about her image right now—she was really uncomfortable.

Ethan Gray picked her up and held her in his arms, reaching out to rub her belly. Yuna just grunted twice, showing she was still upset but didn't resist. The belly rub felt so much better—she wasn't about to make herself suffer.

As he kept rubbing, the well-fed little kitty soon fell asleep. Seeing her asleep, Ethan Gray didn't toss her onto the bed. He'd already decided to keep this little kitty by his side from now on, so she wouldn't go off and mess with those stray cats.

Ethan Gray carried Yuna into the study, ready to give the steward some instructions. He didn't want the manor thrown into chaos after he left. In truth, the only real troublemaker was the emperor, who always found ways to get under his skin!

After Ethan Gray finished his business, Yuna woke up, dazed and snuggled in his arms for a while. Suddenly remembering she was still angry, the little kitty let out a cold snort, leapt onto his shoulder, then sprang again—climbing right onto his head.

Ethan Gray clearly hadn't expected her to be so bold as to climb onto his head. His face darkened, looking truly intimidating, and he gritted his teeth, "You little rascal, get down!"

Yuna sprawled lazily atop his head, half-opening her eyes and muttering, "Why so fierce? Your head's so hard, it's not even comfortable up here!" Her tone was full of disdain, but her round little body stayed put—she had no intention of coming down. Hmph! Who's afraid of whom?

Lynn Yee walked in and saw the Dark Lord with a little kitty perched on his head. He couldn't help twitching at the scene—it was just too bizarre! Someone actually dared to act so high and mighty atop the Dark Lord's head. He was truly impressed by this bold little kitty!

Suddenly, Yuna's gaze landed squarely on Lynn Yee's face, making him feel a little uneasy.

Yuna studied him intently, then suddenly stretched out her little paw, pointing straight at Lynn Yee. "You, come here and let me lie on you!"

Ethan Gray's expression grew even darker, his gaze locked onto the man before him. He barked angrily, "Lynn Yee, who told you to come back?"

Lynn Yee protested innocently, "My lord, you were the one who told me to come back!" Was this what they called taking out one's anger on others?

Before he could figure it out, another angry roar rang out, "Get out! And don't ever come back!"

Lynn Yee looked up at the sky, speechless. How was he the unlucky one here? What did he do to deserve this?

Smartly deciding to keep his distance from the unusually irritable Dark Lord, Lynn Yee started to back away. But Yuna suddenly jumped down from Ethan Gray's head, ran to his feet, and looked up at him, her eyes sparkling, "You're so pretty! What's your name?"

Lynn Yee froze, unable to move under Ethan Gray's terrifying gaze. He looked down at the adorable, hopeful little kitty and his lips twitched. Divine Beast, really! Are you sure you're not trying to get me in trouble?

But wasn't the Palace Master acting a bit too strange? Even if she was a Divine Beast, she wasn't much use to him. Not only did he have no interest in ruling the world, even if he wanted it, he wouldn't need a Divine Beast's help! Was Ethan Gray afraid she'd be stolen away?

"Yuna!" Ethan Gray was truly furious. What kind of day was this? First the little black cat, then Lynn Yee—whether animal or human, everyone seemed to be against him!

Yuna lazily lifted her eyelids, glanced at him, and snorted, "What?"

Ethan Gray curled his lips, speaking unusually gently, "Do you believe I'll starve you?"

Lynn Yee's lips twitched again, the same question surfacing in his mind—what kind of day was this? Not only did the little kitty climb onto the Dark Lord's head, but the Dark Lord was actually threatening a beast, and in such a... childish way.

Yuna was furious at being threatened yet again. "You really think I'm afraid of you!" she huffed, and dashed off in a flash. She was determined to find another pushover—there was no way she'd let herself starve!

Ethan Gray, overcome with anger, grabbed her little tail to stop her.

"Ow... that hurts, you jerk! Let go!"

Hearing her cry, Ethan Gray quickly let go and carefully scooped her into his arms, anxiously asking, "Does it hurt a lot? Are you alright?" His voice carried a trace of worry, secretly blaming himself for losing his temper. If he'd really squeezed with all his strength, such a tiny kitty would be done for.
