Sudden Eruption

2/14/2026

Evan Lin hadn't said a word from start to finish.

Emily Yi and the others looked a little surprised as they stared at Lily Liang standing in front of them.

Just a moment ago, they'd assumed that the so-called 'friends' Evan talked about didn't exist at all.

They thought it was all just Evan's excuse to get close to Mia Chen.

But now, to their surprise, there really was a woman by Evan's side.

The two groups brushed past each other.

After Evan and Lily Liang walked away,

Mia Chen’s eyes were a little red, as if the sea breeze had kicked up fine sand and blown it into her eyes.

"Mimi."

Emily Yi looked a bit worried.

"It's nothing, my eyes just feel a little itchy."

Mia Chen rubbed her eyes, and the memory of that day at the crossroads popped into her mind.

She remembered herself smiling at Evan Lin, then coldly saying, "You're just like every other guy."

It was all so clear.

"Is that girl blind or something? How could she possibly fall for Evan Lin?"

Victor Zhou grumbled, "I used to think he liked our Mimi! Turns out, he was just faking it!"

"That guy is just way too fake!"

He kept cursing and complaining, but in the end, nobody bothered to respond.

Even though the guys were all pretty annoyed with Evan Lin,

they knew that saying anything now wouldn't change a thing.

Lily Liang glanced back at the departing figures of Mia Chen and her friends, lost in thought.

Evan Lin had shown almost no emotional fluctuation from start to finish.

Fate comes and goes.

Fate arises and fades.

Sometimes, it’s all about timing.

Back when Evan Lin was reborn, if Mia Chen had shown him a little more patience and trust, things would have turned out differently.

Just like with Lin Yan.

At first, Lin Yan made things difficult for Evan Lin in every way, but later she started to reflect on her actions.

In the end, her whole heart became attached to Evan Lin.

She stopped being hostile to Evan Lin and tried to make up for it in various ways.

So, their relationship now can be considered pretty good.

If Lin Yan had stubbornly refused to change back then, things might have ended differently.

"She seems to like you."

Lily Liang suddenly said.

Evan Lin stopped walking. Lily Liang’s heart clenched, thinking she’d said something wrong, but then saw Evan turn to look at the vast, rolling sea.

Out on the sea, several cruise ships drifted by.

The deep blue sea reflected the sky.

A few white clouds floated overhead.

It looked like a peaceful scene.

Lily Liang turned her head and looked at the same scene, still puzzled.
