The More Third Wheels, the Better

Cherry Miller blinked, hoping she was just overthinking things.

These young masters and ladies are all top representatives in their circles.

They practically represent an entire ecosystem.

If anything breaks down, the losses would be huge.

Since Yina Yin’s team lost the match, of course they had to treat everyone to dinner tonight.

After notifying the school, the seven of them headed out together to find a place to eat.

With Cecilia Gu and Ethan Yin both away from home, Yina Yin was now the leader.

When there’s no tiger in the mountain, the monkey becomes king.

So, of course, the school wouldn’t dare stop them, right?

Besides, Ms. Miller was with them.

The seven of them left school by car, found a private restaurant, booked the whole place, and had a blast.

After dinner, Max Mo suggested they go sing karaoke.

Everyone quickly agreed.

As Yina Yin’s personal assistant, Cherry Miller naturally tagged along.

They went to the nearest nightclub, which was owned by the Mo Family. As soon as they arrived, they received top-notch security and a warm welcome.

Once inside their private room, everyone sprawled on the sofas—chatting, playing chess, surfing the web, reading, or singing.

There were plenty of entertainment options here, so they could do whatever they wanted.

Cherry Miller checked the time, then said to Yina Yin, "I’ll go get you guys some snacks and drinks."

Yina Yin waved her hand, "Thanks for your hard work, Cherry!"

The others also waved, "Thank you, Cherry!"

Cherry Miller smiled and turned to leave.

As soon as Cherry stepped out, she nodded to the bodyguards at the door and said, "Make sure to protect them. No mistakes."

"Yes, Ms. Miller." The bodyguards nodded in unison.

Cherry headed straight for the supermarket, planning to pick out some digestive snacks for them.

This nightclub was high-end, and all purchases were billed to the room number—everything went on the tab.

Most of the items in the supermarket were imported luxury goods; you couldn't find any regular brands here.

So, anyone shopping here had to be loaded.

Cherry was still browsing when a familiar voice called out behind her, "Cherry? What are you doing here?"

Cherry turned around at the sound, and was surprised to see who it was.

What were the odds—she actually ran into Eric Chen here!

"Eric? You're here too?" Cherry exclaimed, raising the drink in her hand. "I'm picking out drinks for the young masters and misses."

"They're here too?" Eric Chen shrank back a little, almost instinctively.

Whenever Eric faced these top-tier elites, he couldn't help but feel a little out of his league.

"Yeah. What about you? This place is pretty..." Cherry trailed off, but her meaning was clear.

Just coming here for fun would cost tens of thousands at the very least.

For Eric, who’d just started working after returning from abroad, that kind of money was no joke.

"I came with our general manager. I was just promoted to floor manager, so when my boss invited me, I couldn't say no. Good thing I didn't ask you to see a movie tonight, or I'd have had to bail on you." Eric laughed.

Cherry smiled but didn’t answer.

Just then, a stranger’s voice, trying to sound friendly, called out from nearby: "Oh, isn't that Ms. Miller? What brings you here?"

Cherry looked up—it was the manager of the Mu Family’s mall, Eric’s boss.
