As the tall girl whisked Jake Jewel away and disappeared around the corridor, the stunned gang instantly turned rowdy again, each eager to offer his own in-depth analysis of this unexpected event—
"Damn—who would've thought! Seriously, who would've guessed? Times have changed! Girls these days are so fierce and bold! Miss Busty is absolutely the top of the gang! She's a true trendsetter!" one of the guys exclaimed, full of emotion.
"Shit! Turns out Jake Jewel, that show-off, is still a virgin! Now that Miss Busty dragged him off, there's no way he's keeping his innocence!" another guy analyzed.
"Hey—speaking of which, Miss Busty is a real knockout! Just her headlights alone, there aren't many girls at Southern University who can compete! If I were Jake Jewel, I'd go eight rounds in one night! Hell, I'd let loose as much as I could—" The guy was clearly jealous of Jake Jewel!
"Uh—Miss Busty is so eye-catching, how come I've never seen her before!?" one of the guys questioned.
"Uh—Southern University just brought in a batch of special recruits, Miss Busty is probably an athlete recruit! Fresh meat! That's why we've never seen her before—Jake Jewel hit the jackpot this time!" another guy explained.
"Boohoo—why didn't she grab me? Why? I'm at least a little good-looking! Somebody explain this, quick!" Clearly, this wolf's tastes matched Jake Jewel's, as he gazed up at the sky and wailed.
"Explain my ass! Just look at your sorry self—can you even compare to campus heartthrob Jake Jewel? Quit your whining!" another guy mercilessly shot him down.
"Exactly! When Miss Busty unleashed her full feminine fury, you didn't dare poke your head out. Freddy Four-Eyes and Fatty were scared stiff! Heh heh—" The guy glanced at Freddy Four-Eyes and Ding Dachong with a wicked grin.
"Are you kidding? Me, scared of her? I'm just a gentleman who doesn't fight with women! If Miss Busty turned around, I'd pin her down and give her—hmph hmph—a lesson she'd never forget—" Freddy Four-Eyes, provoked, pressed a hand to the railing, grunted and posed, thrusting his hips in a way every guy understood, making the gang burst out laughing.
"Hey—you animals, is having big boobs on a woman really that important? What about inner beauty, huh?!" Ding Dachong put on a philosophical air, looking all disdainful.
"Come on, Fatty, keep pretending! Then tell us, what's wrong with big boobs on a woman!?" The guys heckled Ding Dachong.
"Uh—personally, I think—actually, big boobs are pretty nice too—hehe—" Ding Dachong squirmed under the collective stare of the guys and quickly changed his tune.
"Pfft—fence-sitter!" The gang sneered and flipped him the bird.
Just then, the heavy rain outside stopped. The thick clouds scattered with a refreshing breeze, sunlight poured down again, and a beautiful rainbow appeared on the horizon. In the height of summer in Nanning City, the weather changed as unpredictably as a young girl's moods.
The guys gathered in the corridor started to disperse. Ding Dachong was about to get up and leave when Shawn Young hurried over and called out, "Fatty! Where are you going?"
Ding Dachong turned around and saw Shawn Young, his expression went blank for a second before he yelled, "Damn!! It's Third Bro! Where have you been hiding these days?!"
"Oh, I just took some time off to work a temp job!" Shawn Young quickly remembered his excuse.
"Temp job? Seriously? Why do you look all dressed up for it? You look so sharp I almost didn't recognize you! Heh heh—be honest with me—did you go work at a nightclub or something?" Ding Dachong sidled up with a sly grin.
"Nightclub? Doing what?" Shawn Young asked, confused.
"Damn! Third Bro, you sure know how to play dumb! Won't even tell your own bros!" Ding Dachong complained, looking frustrated.
"What exactly are you trying to ask?" Shawn Young felt a bit annoyed too.
"Damn—it’s like that Mongolian Stallion, Luo Tiantu, working as a club promoter! You’ve got the goods! Haven’t seen you for three days and you’ve totally changed—hell, if I had a monster like yours, I’d go too!" Ding Dachong eyed Shawn Young’s designer outfit with envy, sounding more convinced by the second.
"Uh—Fatty, you’re overthinking it! I didn’t go to any nightclub, and I’m not a promoter! I really was just working a temp job." Shawn Young hurried to explain.
"Yeah, right—hehe, if you don’t want to say, fine. Just remember your bros if you get any perks! You saw it just now, Jake Jewel got dragged off by Miss Busty, and you probably got yourself a sugar mama! Damn—out of us four Room 302 brothers, I’m the only single guy left. Ugh! Enough, the more I talk the sadder I get. I’m off—guess I’m doomed to go back to the dorm and watch porn and jerk off—" Ding Dachong didn’t believe Shawn Young at all, waving sadly as he turned to leave.
"Uh—" Shawn Young hadn’t expected Ding Dachong to be so down. Clearly, the guy was really bummed out, so Shawn hurried after him, about to call out.
"Thud—"
"Ouch—"
Ding Dachong, head hanging, had just reached the corner of the corridor when a petite, lively figure rushed over and crashed right into his hefty frame, instantly knocked backward onto the floor by his bulk.
"Ah! I-it's you!!" Ding Dachong recognized the girl he'd "bounced" to the ground, his eyes wide, cheeks flushing for once as his heart pounded wildly!
"Hmph—damn Fatty! Can't you watch where you're going? You just crashed right into me—" The girl Ding Dachong had knocked over sat on the floor, glaring at him with fierce almond-shaped eyes. Her ponytail whipped as she yelled, her delicate face flushed a healthy, tempting pink. Dressed in a crisp white taekwondo uniform, she would’ve looked heroic if she weren’t scowling so fiercely.
"Oh! Sorry, sorry! I-I didn’t mean to—I swear it wasn’t on purpose—" Ding Dachong tried to suppress his racing heart as he reached out to help the petite, pretty girl up.
"Get your hand away, damn Fatty! I don’t need your help, I can get up on my own!" The pretty girl cursed, slapped Ding Dachong’s hand away, and climbed up herself, grimacing and rubbing her sore spot—clearly, the hard concrete floor had hurt.
"Uh—really, really sorry, May Gu—are you okay!?" Ding Dachong fussed over her, full of concern.
"Huh? Damn Fatty, how do you know my name?! Spill it!" The petite, pretty girl was none other than May Gu, the infamous little firecracker of the History Department—also the girl Ding Dachong secretly pined for.
"I—I’m in History too! That’s how I know you. My name’s Ding Dachong—Ding as in ABCD, Da as in big, Chong as in smart—I—" Ding Dachong, suddenly face-to-face with his crush, was so nervous he blurted out his whole name.
"History, huh? Ding—Da—Chong? Uh—aren’t you the History Department’s biggest perv, that damn Fatty?" May Gu glared at him coldly.
"Ah! I’m Ding Dachong from History, but I’m not a perv—I'm innocent!" Ding Dachong wanted to die from embarrassment.
"Hmph! Don’t give me that, all guys are pervs—especially fat ones! Tell me, did you crash into me on purpose? Want me to show you some taekwondo moves?!" May Gu glared, her almond eyes wide.
"Uh—May, you’ve got it wrong, Ding Dachong really didn’t do it on purpose. I was right behind him, I can vouch for him! He honestly apologized, and we’re all classmates from History, so let it go!" Shawn Young walked over and said.
"Who are you? Why are you sticking up for this damn Fatty?" May Gu, though fiery, wasn’t unreasonable. Seeing Shawn Young’s polite manner and scholarly looks, her anger eased a bit.
"Oh! I’m Shawn Young, also in History, and Ding Dachong’s roommate—" Shawn replied quickly.
"Oh? You—you’re Shawn Young? Hehe—gotta say, you’re way easier on the eyes than that damn Fatty!" May Gu looked Shawn Young up and down in surprise and curiosity.
"May, you—you know me? I’m not that famous, am I?" Shawn Young felt awkward under May Gu’s gaze.
"Hehe—you’re not famous, but someone’s got their eye on you! Hang on, the main event’s about to show up!" May Gu turned to look outside, then waved and called out loudly, "Hey—Jiaojiao, your Shawn Young is back! Hurry up and get over here—"
Chapter 89: Korean BBQ—Park Taemeng
At May Gu’s shout, a curvy, graceful figure jogged over from outside. Shawn Young looked carefully—it was none other than his fellow hometown girl, the History Department beauty, Cynthia Gong.
Cynthia Gong was wearing a tight black T-shirt and snug little athletic shorts, her long, shapely legs in cute blue sneakers. Her figure was lush but not overdone, with flawless white skin and a proud, towering bust wrapped in her shirt, the deep cleavage drawing the eye. Her long hair cascaded over her shoulders, her curves perfect—she was stunning, alluring, and impossible to ignore.
"Huh? Shawn Young! You—you’re back? How was work these days? Haven’t seen you around, I was hoping you’d hook me up with a job too. Was it any good?" Cynthia Gong’s eyes sparkled with delight as she ran over, looking at him expectantly.
"Oh, it was fine—just a temp job, nothing special, so I came back!" Shawn Young’s eyes couldn’t help wandering to Cynthia Gong’s impressive chest, secretly thinking, "Damn! That’s something else, truly magnificent!"
Noticing his 'eager' gaze, Cynthia Gong’s pretty face flushed pink. She remembered what Nurse Tang Yuanyuan, her new sister-in-arms, had whispered: "When a guy keeps staring at your sensitive spots, it means he’s really into you—"
Secretly delighted, Cynthia Gong purposely thrust out her proud chest and asked Shawn Young, "Oh! So, where are you headed now?"
"I-I just got back, and I was planning to head to the dorm with Ding Dachong. What about you guys? Where are you off to?" Shawn Young replied, voice trembling from excitement.
"Oh! I just finished running at the gym, and May just joined Southern University’s Taekwondo club—she was training at the West Gym, so we’re heading back together." Cynthia Gong explained.
"Hey—Shawn, Jiao Jiao’s been waiting for you these days, planning to surprise you, and what do you do? You go off to work, earn some cash, and come back without even taking her out for some fun! Seriously—" May Gu teased. As Cynthia Gong’s bestie, she knew all about Cynthia’s secret crush on Shawn Young, though she didn’t know about his tough family situation.
"Uh—May, don’t be like that. Shawn only worked because he needed the money. Since we’re all together, how about I treat everyone to dinner?" Cynthia Gong offered, understanding Shawn Young’s situation since she came from a well-off family herself, with several shops and rental properties. She figured this was a good chance to get closer to him.
"Uh—May, that’s not right, I should treat! I made some money these last few days." Shawn Young insisted, remembering the bank card Cheng Yuhan gave him—with a hundred thousand on it, a fortune in his eyes.

"Hehe—now that’s more like it! That’s how a man should be. Fatty, take notes! Don’t be so stingy!" May Gu laughed, nudging Ding Dachong.
Cynthia Gong hadn’t wanted Shawn Young to spend money, but seeing him wink at her and sporting pricey designer clothes, she relented. "Then let’s eat at the street stalls by the East Gate. The food’s good and reasonably priced—I think it’s perfect."
"Uh—alright then!" Shawn Young knew Cynthia Gong was just worried about him spending too much, which made him like her even more.
"Hehe, I don’t care where we go as long as there’s food! I want to check out the shops too, maybe pick up a kicking pad for taekwondo practice. My blue belt test is coming up, so I need to train hard." May Gu said.
"Oh right, Fatty, where’s Boss Xu Dong? Let’s get him to join us." Shawn Young remembered it was rare for him to treat, so he thought of their leader Xu Dong.
"Hehe, forget it, Third Bro. Boss has been busy dating beauties these days! We barely see him, so how could we find him? You know he never answers when he’s out on a date!" Ding Dachong grinned mischievously.
"Uh—true enough, forget it then. Let’s go first, we’ll get Boss and Fourth Bro next time. Let’s move!" Shawn Young said.
So the four of them set off together toward the commercial street outside Southern University’s East Gate. Soon they arrived—afternoon class had just let out, so the street was bustling. Shops and supermarkets lined one side, while the other was packed with eateries, fast food joints, and street stalls, all crowded with students. At the end of the street stood the four-star Golden Crown Hotel.
The four chatted and laughed as they walked. May Gu spotted a sporting goods store ahead and said, "Oh! Let’s check this place out! They should have training pads for sale."
She was about to step inside when a group of young men walked out, all wearing white taekwondo uniforms just like May Gu’s—only their belt colors differed.
Among them, the others clustered around a tall, artistic-looking guy with long hair and a handsome face. His striking black belt showed his skill, and he carried himself with confidence—though his expression was cocky.
When the young man saw May Gu, his eyes lit up. Then he spotted Cynthia Gong, and they sparkled even more. His cool demeanor melted away as he smiled warmly—almost like a chameleon. He greeted May Gu in clumsy Mandarin: "Oh, it’s Miss May Gu! So happy to see you here again—we must be fated! Since destiny brought us together, let me invite you and your friend to dinner!"
As soon as he spoke, Ding Dachong jumped in, telling the young man, "No need to treat us—we already have dinner plans for the four of us!"
The young man shot Ding Dachong and Shawn Young a contemptuous look, snorted, and ignored them. He continued to fawn over May Gu and Cynthia Gong: "Miss May Gu, and this beautiful lady, you’re not really going to eat at those street stalls, are you? I’ve heard the food there is all cooked in gutter oil—it’s a local habit, but hardly suitable for such gorgeous ladies! Come with me to the Golden Crown Hotel—there’s authentic Korean cuisine, cooked by real Korean chefs, and definitely no gutter oil!"
May Gu’s face turned cold. She glared at the young man and snapped, "Park Taemeng, listen up! First, I’m not close to you, and fate has nothing to do with it! Second, your Korean food tastes like dog chow—nowhere near as good as gutter oil stir-fry from the stalls. Third, stop calling me 'Miss'—if you want a lady, go to the wild game alley behind the hotel. And your whole family’s full of 'ladies'! So go eat by yourself!"
With that, May Gu grabbed Cynthia Gong and called to the stunned Shawn Young and Ding Dachong, "Let’s go! What are you waiting for? Time for street food!"
"Oh—okay!" Shawn Young and Ding Dachong replied, quickly following May Gu and Cynthia Gong as they brushed past Park Taemeng.
Park Taemeng’s face turned dark after May Gu’s outburst, and he stood there, embarrassed. His buddies crowded around, one saying, "Taemeng, that May Gu really disrespected you! She clearly looks down on you! You can’t just let that slide!" The others chimed in, criticizing May Gu.
Park Taemeng waved them off, gritting his teeth. "May Gu refuses my kindness and insults our Korean cuisine—totally unacceptable! I’ll teach her a lesson!" With that, he chased after May Gu and blocked her path.
"Park Taemeng, what do you want?" May Gu’s face darkened.
"Hmph—May Gu, you insulted my beloved Korean cuisine and think you can just walk away? Not so easy!" Park Taemeng snarled.
"What the hell do you want, Park Taemeng! Your name’s as ugly as your cooking! Move it, or I’ll hit you with my Dragon Claw Breast Grab and rip off your balls—one for steaming, one for deep-frying in gutter oil for the dogs!" Ding Dachong seized the chance to shine, jumping in front of May Gu and unleashing a barrage of insults. If nothing else, he was a master at trash talk.
