Terrifying Yuan Sovereign

1/18/2026

The two ambushers—a man and a woman—radiated a murderous aura even fiercer than the Yuan King Ian had just injured. By his estimation, both attackers were at least mid-tier Yuan King level.

"Viperfish, you really are a disappointment, losing to a mere Upper Yuan General-level god!" The female Yuan King sneered at the defeated Yuan King.

"Enough nonsense—kill that bug already!" came the mysterious voice, urging them to act.

"Yes, Yuan Sovereign!"

The two Yuan Kings replied respectfully, then fixed Ian Song with cold, murderous stares.

"Kill!"

"Die!"

The two Yuan Kings attacked Ian Song simultaneously.

The female Yuan King wielded a thin black sword, while the male Yuan King brandished a vicious five-meter-long saber.

Both sword and saber struck with blinding speed.

Clang! Clang!

Ian Song blocked with his sword, but his whole body shuddered as a wave of chilling, destructive sword-qi and another of searing, annihilative saber-qi crashed into him.

But Ian feared no such foreign powers; he simply let his chaos vortex absorb and refine them.

"Die!"

Suddenly, the female Yuan King let out a piercing cry and vanished. In the next instant, Ian Song found himself surrounded by countless afterimages, as razor-thin sword-qi wove a cage around him, sealing the space and trying to shred him to pieces.

Heh!

Ian Song smirked and, with a thought, activated the six formation disks he carried. Instantly, the six-sided Eternal Divine Array appeared around him.

As soon as the sword-qi entered the Eternal Divine Array, it froze in place, unable to harm Ian in the slightest.

The Eternal Divine Array was simply too useful—so long as attacks didn't exceed its limits, it could halt anything within its field.

Seeing her ultimate sword-qi vanish like that, the female Yuan King's brow furrowed slightly in frustration.

But immediately, she teamed up with another Yuan King to attack Ian Song again.

Too bad.

But as soon as their attacks got close to Ian Song, they vanished without a trace.

Ian Song stood there with his hands behind his back and mocked, "Hey, you two scaled freaks, is that all you've got? You can't even touch the hem of my clothes!"

You're looking for death!

The two Yuan Kings grew furious, ramped up their attacks, and even pulled out secret treasures—but every attack vanished as soon as it neared Ian Song.

How can this be?!

Watching from the shadows, Moro’s face grew even gloomier—two Yuan Kings working together couldn’t handle a mere Upper Heavenly God.

Have the beings of the God Realm really evolved this much during my hundreds of thousands of years of imprisonment?

A quarter hour passed.

Half an hour passed.

Three quarters of an hour went by. The two Yuan Kings were still frantically attacking Ian Song, but he just stood there unmoving, letting them strike at will.

"Hey, you two scaled freaks, can’t you do any better? If you keep this up, I might just have to fight back!"

The two Yuan Kings were shocked and furious at Ian Song’s mockery.

But Moro had run out of patience and simply sent in the remaining seven Yuan Kings.

All nine Yuan Kings surrounded Ian Song and attacked from every direction.

Nine Yuan Kings joined forces to bombard him, and Ian Song estimated his six-sided Eternal Divine Array could last only a quarter hour under their assault.

"If that's the case... then it's my turn!"

Ian Song narrowed his eyes, and in his mind, his Divine Soul suddenly opened its eyes.

"Phantasm!"

Puh! Puh!

Without warning, the two Yuan Kings who’d just wanted to tear Ian Song to pieces suddenly turned traitor.

With a flick of her thin sword, Devin Tidewater sliced off another Yuan King's head.

Blaze Ember brought his massive saber down hard, cleaving yet another Yuan King cleanly in half.

"Devin Tidewater, Blaze Ember, what are you doing? Do you want to join the Yuan Sovereign and Yuan Emperor?"

The remaining five Yuan Kings were stunned. One of them stared in disbelief and shouted at the pair.

"Kill!"

"Die!"

But Devin Tidewater and Blaze Ember offered no explanation at all—they simply charged at the remaining five Yuan Kings.

Moro was dumbfounded. But when he noticed the strange smile on Ian Song’s face, he realized this was the kid’s doing.

Damn it!

Moro was furious. These ten Yuan Kings were the key to breaking his seal, and he still needed them to hunt gods and harvest souls for him. If they all died here, who would help him slaughter the gods?

"No! Even if it means suffering backlash from the seal, I have to kill that brat!"

Just as Ian Song was amusedly watching the seven Yuan Kings slaughter each other, he suddenly sensed an overwhelming crisis.

"Crap! Is that damned Yuan Sovereign finally making a move?"

Just as this thought crossed his mind—

A terrifying black palm suddenly appeared above his head.

The power contained in this palm was overwhelming. The Eternal Divine Array was instantly shattered, but it bought Ian Song enough time to react.

"Sacred Mountain, go!"

He quickly hurled out the Sacred Mountain, which instantly expanded, its defensive arrays erupting in a burst of light.

Boom!

It was like a comet crashing into a planet—the entire mysterious space shook violently. The mighty Sacred Mountain was smashed to the ground, but the black palm’s energy was fully spent and vanished.

Ian Song’s face went pale. The force of that strike was terrifying—if it had hit him directly, he would’ve been pulverized instantly. Even the Sacred Mountain’s arrays lost three layers in the attack.

"So scary! So powerful! Even a top-tier God-King couldn’t break a single layer of the array, but he just shattered three at once. That palm’s power has already surpassed the God-King level!"

Ian Song jumped onto the Sacred Mountain, hid within its arrays, and shouted, "That damned Yuan Sovereign! Sneak attacks? Is that all you’ve got? Come out and fight me fair and square!"

"You little thief! If I weren’t sealed, I could crush you with a single finger. Get out now! Otherwise, even if it damages my seal, I’ll kill you myself!"

As soon as he finished speaking, a spatial tunnel appeared in the void.

After a brief hesitation, Ian Song piloted the Sacred Mountain and flew out through the tunnel.

Deep underground in the Primordial Forbidden Zone, the Yuan Sovereign suddenly coughed up blood. That palm strike against Ian Song had triggered backlash from the seal, severely damaging his soul. Otherwise, he never would’ve let Ian Song escape.

"Thief! When I break free, I’ll tear you to pieces!"

The Yuan Sovereign wiped the blood from his mouth and shouted at Ian Song, who was speeding away toward the edge of the Forbidden Zone.

"Old turtle, let’s talk again if you ever manage to break free!"

With a cold, sarcastic remark, Ian Song sped up and flew away even faster.

Once he’d left the Primordial Forbidden Zone, Ian Song suddenly had an idea. He set up dozens of divine arrays at the entrance, concealing them as traps. If any God-King-level beings carelessly stepped inside—well, they’d be in for a nasty surprise.

Meanwhile...

After Ian Song left, Devin Tidewater and Blaze Ember regained consciousness. But deep in their hearts, Ian Song had planted a terrifying seed of fear.
