If I Wake Him, You Eat Shit

"Today, I dare anyone to lay a finger on Sophie Su!" Ryan Ling immediately stepped forward, blocking Sophie. At this moment, no matter how fierce Sophie was, she couldn't possibly withstand her entire family's premeditated persecution.

"Who do you think you are? You dare play hero in the Su family? I've wanted to slap you since earlier, but you got lucky. Now I'll show you what a real slap feels like!" The spoiled girl, Yvonne Su, was already fuming. Seeing Ryan, someone she considered beneath her, daring to intervene, she erupted like a volcano.

As she spoke, Yvonne swung her hand straight at him. But before her slap could land, Ryan instantly activated the Wish‑Bound Telekinesis Art. Yvonne's palm froze in midair, unable to move no matter how hard she tried. Cold sweat instantly broke out on her forehead.

"What the hell? Victor Su, who'd been lounging around, was stunned by the scene. He quickly turned to a middle-aged man in a blue long gown behind him and said, 'Mr. Yuan, this kid seems to have some tricks up his sleeve!'

Ryan had been dragged into the private hospital by Sophie. At this critical moment, she insisted on bringing him in—clearly, he wasn't just some nobody.

The so-called Mr. Yuan had entered later, and he was obviously no ordinary person. Watching Ryan's move, he frowned and said, "This kid probably knows a few spells or talismans—just some beginner magic. Better not act rashly until we figure out what he's really capable of."

After Mr. Yuan spoke, Victor Su quickly stepped forward, waved his hand, and shouted, "That's enough, Yvonne. Since this young man is here, he's our guest. Don't be rude—stand down!"

As soon as Victor finished, the strange force gripping Yvonne's wrist vanished. She didn't hesitate—she staggered backward, fear written all over her face. The arrogant rich girl was gone; all that remained in her eyes was pure terror of the unknown.

Beside them, Sophie shot Ryan a grateful look. Dragging him here today had been a genius move—if not for him, her whole family would've steamrolled her.

But even though they were safe for now, Sophie knew full well that Victor Su had come fully prepared: new security, new doctors, and a crowd of people—he was definitely plotting something big.

Uncle Frank was nowhere to be seen.

Just as Sophie was starting to panic, Victor Su suddenly spoke up: "Sophie, we're family after all. Whatever happened before, let's not dwell on it today. Now that the old man is critically ill, we should handle proper business first. I think it's time we publicly announce the details of the inheritance in front of everyone."

"Inheritance? What inheritance? Grandpa's not even gone yet! Instead of trying to save him, you're already talking about splitting the family assets? Has your conscience really been eaten by dogs?" Sophie shot up, her face dark with rage.

"You—" Victor Su's face turned green with fury.

Victor's obese wife shook her fat gold chain and said, "Sophie, what kind of talk is that? Who's lost their conscience? We've hired the best doctors in Harbor City to save him. We've done everything we can. Now that the old man's like this, it's not what we wanted, but with such a huge Su Group, someone has to manage it. Of course we need to sort things out, or it'll be a mess later!"

After she finished, Victor's son snorted, "My mom's right. The one lying in bed is your grandpa, but he's my grandpa too. Who here doesn't want him to get better? But he's not going to make it, so what's wrong with discussing the inheritance? It's totally reasonable and legal. Grandpa already drafted a will, and the lawyer's here. We should announce it while he's still breathing and hand over the reins of the Su family!"

"That's right, that's how it should be!"

"All these people are the perfect witnesses!"

"There's nothing wrong with reading the old man's will in public!"

As soon as Victor's son finished, several Su Group executives connected to Victor nodded in agreement and started chiming in.

At this point, almost everyone was backing Victor Su.

Sophie was at a loss for words. Just then, a lawyer with gold-rimmed glasses strode in, looking like he'd rehearsed this a hundred times. He was holding a sealed envelope stamped with the Su Group seal—inside and out, there was nothing suspicious.

"Sophie, don't rush—let's hear them out first." Seeing Sophie's face getting darker by the second, Ryan quickly tried to comfort her.

Sophie nodded sharply. With things as they were, she wanted to see just how shameless these people could get.

The lawyer cleared his throat and said, "Everyone, the entire Su family is present, which meets the conditions for opening the will. Also, please note: this will is sealed with the Su Group stamp. After the old man placed it inside, it hasn't been opened—everyone can check it carefully!"

With that, the lawyer displayed the envelope for everyone to see.

Sophie really couldn't spot anything off about it.

Victor glanced at it and immediately urged, "Looks good—hurry up and open it!"

The lawyer nodded, tore off the seal, and pulled out the will. He began to read: "After my passing, the vast Su Group needs someone experienced, responsible, and senior to take charge. Therefore, the chairman position will go to my second son, Victor Su, whose shares will rise from 5% to 50%. His wife and children each receive 10%. Aside from outside shareholders, the remaining 3% will go to Sophie Su. Since Sophie is still in school, she cannot participate in Su Group business; her 3% will be held in trust by Victor's wife, Zhang Mei, and will become her dowry when she marries..."

Hearing this, Sophie couldn't hold back anymore. She exploded, "You shameless scumbags! This will is obviously fake! Grandpa said he would leave Su Group to me—I've done so much for the company these past two years, and what have you done? How could he possibly hand it all to you?"

"You really have the nerve to lie with your eyes wide open. The old man handed Su Group to you? Got any proof? Or are we supposed to believe you just because you say so?" Victor Su jumped up, full of confidence.

"Uncle Frank can testify! Grandpa trusted him more than anyone—everyone in Su Group knows that." Sophie shot back.

"Fine, bring Uncle Frank here! If he can prove Grandpa ever said that, I'll gladly give up the chairman's seat." Victor snorted, blunt as ever.

"Uncle Frank hasn't shown up at all. I bet you've already got him locked up somewhere!" Sophie gritted her teeth.

"Sophie, can you at least show some evidence? If someone goes missing, you blame us right away." Victor's wife snorted.

"That's right, the lawyer's right here—we could sue you for slander!" Yvonne Su couldn't help but chime in.

"Enough, Sophie. The lawyer's got limited time, and Grandpa doesn't have much left either. Hurry up and sign your name, or you might not even get your 3%!" Victor was getting impatient.

The lawyer glanced at his watch, pretending time was tight. "Miss Su, please sign. Otherwise, I'll have to treat it as you giving up your inheritance."

"I'm not signing. And let me tell you: Grandpa won't die. He'll recover. Everything you’ve done today—you’ll pay for it." Sophie remembered what Ryan said and changed her tone.

"Sophie, are you out of your mind? Can't you see Grandpa's already done for?"

"Yeah, stop trying to scare us, will you? What, you expect Grandpa to rise from the dead or something?"

Hearing Sophie’s words, Victor’s whole family shuddered. Victor’s face turned even darker as he raised his voice: "Enough, Sophie! Stop talking nonsense and just sign the will. Otherwise, you really won’t get a single cent!"

"I’d rather die than sign a forged will. And I believe Grandpa will be fine—he’ll definitely recover!" Sophie turned her head, looking straight at Ryan.

"Sophie’s right." At last, Ryan spoke up, more confident than anyone: "The old man will be just fine—and I guarantee he’ll wake up tonight!"

"Bullshit, kid! I gave you some respect earlier, but now you’re making jokes about life and death? The lawyer’s right here—you’ll be legally responsible for what you say!" Hearing that the old man might wake up was like a thunderbolt for Victor, driving him crazy. The lawyer made a show of stepping forward.

Ryan didn’t even look at him—he shoved the lawyer aside and stared coldly at Victor Su: "If I wake the old man up, will you eat shit?"
