Opening of the Third Eye

Quinn Shepherd continued exploring the No-Regrets City ruins with Granny Sue and the other Oldridge elders. Each elder had their own specialty, and as they examined the lingering divine arts, each saw something different. Their exchange of insights benefited Quinn immensely.

Although Quinn had already comprehended his own path-entering cultivation method, when it came to mastery of individual bodily aspects, he was still far inferior to Granny Sue, Grandpa Blind, and the others.

This was mainly because his Overlord Three-Core Art forced him to cultivate every aspect—body, Primordial Spirit, and yuanqi—so his progress in any single field was slower and less deep than Grandpa Blind or Mute Smith, who specialized and studied their chosen fields to the utmost.

Still, the elders’ mutual exchange proved highly beneficial for all. As the saying goes, 'the stones from other mountains can polish jade,' and each elder was a god-tier expert in their specialty.

By analyzing the divine arts left behind by High-Emperor Heaven’s gods and demons, they saw their own shortcomings, validated their progress, and gained substantial insight.

“Granny Sue, I’ve already integrated High-Emperor Heaven’s cultivation framework into the Overlord Three-Core Art—I’ve derived a version that can temper the entire body!” Quinn announced.

Quinn projected his Overlord yuanqi circulation in the air, forming a translucent, three-dimensional body map that showed his internal structure: Divine Eye segments, brain, dantian, limbs and bones, Spirit Embryo Treasury, Five Luminaries Treasury, Six Directions Treasury, Seven Stars Treasury, and their respective routes. He hid nothing from the elders.

Granny Sue, Grandpa Blind, Butcher, Mute Smith, and the rest immediately crowded around, captivated as they studied the intricate structure of Quinn’s projected body map.

The more closely they examined it, the more astonished they became.

Within Quinn’s Divine Eye, a hidden space appeared, revealing its internal structure. His brain had its own refined circulation to train mental power; every hand, foot, skin layer, and all internal organs—heart, liver, spleen, lungs, kidneys, gallbladder, stomach, intestines, bladder, triple-burner—possessed intricate yuanqi trajectories.

Within each Divine Treasury, the yuanqi followed its own inner mysteries: the Spirit Embryo Treasury fused with the soul, using surging yuanqi to temper the Primordial Spirit; the Five Luminaries Treasury divided yuanqi into the five elements, with Five Luminaries gods seated in their respective stellar temples, and each treasury’s energy followed a distinct route.

The Six Directions Treasury channeled earth-qi into geomagnetic force.

The Seven Stars Treasury oversaw all Five Luminaries and the sun-moon power, unifying their strength and feeding it back into the Primordial Spirit.

Not only that, Quinn’s Spirit Embryo and soul fused into Primordial Spirit, which was seamlessly integrated with his flesh. The yuanqi inside his body and Primordial Spirit followed identical tracks—refining the body meant simultaneously refining the Primordial Spirit!

Quinn’s cultivation path was three-dimensional from the start, intricate to the extreme. Every organ hid its own mini-system; any single organ’s method, taken alone, could train that part to the god-realm.

The true marvel lay in how Quinn unified all these detailed methods by merging Primordial Spirit and flesh, pruning and harmonizing countless sub-systems into a single, coherent Overlord Three-Core framework. What was once impossibly complex was now one system.

This was Quinn’s greatest achievement!

“Quinn’s Overlord Three-Core Art is truly extraordinary!” Butcher exclaimed.

Granny Sue, Crippled Joe, and the others marveled, feeling as if clouds had parted to reveal the sky. Previously, each could only train one aspect to the god-realm and then hit a wall, never knowing how to refine other parts of the body at the same time.

“The real challenge of Quinn’s art is its complexity. Normally, dozens of different scriptures would be needed to achieve this, but he’s simplified everything into one integrated system.”

Butcher added sincerely, “The most crucial point is how he’s fused his Primordial Spirit with his flesh. The Five Luminaries stars correspond to the five viscera, the sun and moon to his eyes, and the Spirit Platform—transformed into the Six Directions continent—corresponds to the dantian. That’s how the whole system unifies.”

Granny Sue nodded. “That’s the most ingenious aspect of the Overlord Three-Core Art. Without this method of fusing Primordial Spirit and flesh, he couldn’t unify his system. Quinn, did you learn this from the gods of High-Emperor Heaven?”

Quinn’s face darkened. He shook his head. “I comprehended this method from the First Human Emperor.”

“The First Human Emperor?”

The Oldridge elders instantly perked up, showering praise. “That senior truly is formidable—this cultivation method solves a problem that’s plagued us for years!”

Quinn felt a fresh wave of gloom in his heart.

Butcher and Granny Sue were right—the real secret to Quinn’s Overlord Three-Core Art lay in merging Primordial Spirit and flesh, making them inseparable.

And that was precisely what he’d learned from the First Human Emperor.

It was his determination to defeat the First Human Emperor that drove him to enter High-Emperor Heaven, to train relentlessly and absorb the strengths of gods and demons.

Yet, despite everything, Quinn’s greatest breakthrough still came from the First Human Emperor.
