Without waiting for Irene Yi to respond, Roxy Shangguan walked to the side, picked up the inkstone on the table, and began grinding ink slowly and deliberately. When she had ground enough, she carried the inkstone over to Irene Yi and, without warning, splashed the ink all over her. Tossing the inkstone aside, she clapped her hands and laughed, "Now you’re properly blackened, aren’t you?"
Irene Yi, her face now pitch-black, glared angrily at Roxy Shangguan, grinding her teeth in frustration.
With a loud bang, the door was kicked open. Quentin Hua rushed in, swept Roxy Shangguan into his arms, and pleaded pitifully, "Roxy, have you had enough fun yet?"
Quentin Hua deeply regretted his decision. He shouldn’t have let Irene Yi be played with—he’d spent a lonely, sleepless night, feeling utterly miserable!
Seeing Quentin Hua, Irene Yi quickly lowered her head, not wanting him to witness her embarrassment. After a while, she realized his attention was entirely on Roxy Shangguan and hadn’t even noticed her. Pain stabbed at her heart, and her eyes burned with tears. After all these years of waiting, to him, she truly meant nothing!
"Roxy..." Quentin Hua’s eyes lit up at the sight of Roxy Shangguan, like a hungry wolf spotting a little lamb. He didn’t give her a chance to speak, kissing her passionately while tugging at her clothes and pulling her toward the bed.
Roxy Shangguan stood stunned, letting him do as he pleased, wondering if all these years of restraint had finally driven Quentin Hua wild, making him so ravenous now.
After a while, Roxy Shangguan felt a chill on her chest and finally snapped back to reality. She pushed him off and rolled her eyes, saying, "There’s still someone else here!"
With a wave of his hand, Quentin Hua let down the bed curtains and said, "Now she can’t see us."
Roxy Shangguan’s brow twitched in annoyance. She snapped, "Can’t see, but can still hear!" Quentin Hua was hers—she wouldn’t let anyone see or even hear!
Without even looking up, Quentin Hua said, "Then knock her out!" It wasn’t that he didn’t want to do it himself—he was just busy right now!
Roxy Shangguan was left dizzy by his antics and had no interest in paying attention to Irene Yi on the floor.
But Irene Yi had already fainted.
Up on the beam, Damien Gray held Morgan Shangguan in his arms, hesitating as he said, "Morgan, isn’t eavesdropping a bit improper? After all, they’re our daughter and son-in-law!"
Morgan Shangguan curled her lip and snorted, "I came to deal with that vicious woman bullying Roxy, but who knew this lustful demon Quentin Hua would rush in and drag Roxy to bed?"
Damien Gray glanced at her, frowning. He also liked dragging her to bed, but he would never admit to being a demon of lust!
Morgan Shangguan tugged at him and said, "Let’s go!" She had no interest in listening to her daughter and son-in-law’s romantic affairs!
The two slipped away, taking Irene Yi with them, and kindly closed the door for the overly eager Quentin Hua on their way out!
When Irene Yi woke up, the first thing she saw was a white skirt hem. Shifting her gaze, she saw a black robe. Before she could look up, a melodious yet annoyed voice rang out, "Damien Gray! What are you doing?"
Morgan Shangguan glared at his wandering hand. Damien Gray bit her earlobe, and under her fierce gaze, his hands remained mischievous. His sexy voice carried a hint of grievance, "Morgan, you’re the one who dragged me off to eavesdrop. I’m suffering now—can you really bear to see me suffer?"
Morgan Shangguan glared at him and gritted her teeth, "I’m perfectly fine with it!"
Damien Gray curled his lips into a smile, twisting the truth as he replied, "I knew you couldn’t bear it!" Before she could respond, he silenced her with a kiss.
Morgan Shangguan glared and glared, but it had no effect on this increasingly shameless man. At last, she raised her foot and stomped down hard. Damien Gray finally paused, released her lips, and, frowning in grievance, said, "Morgan, are you getting tired of me? Did you fall for that pretty boy from yesterday?"
Morgan Shangguan twitched her lips—this so-called pretty boy was just someone who had to share a table at the busy restaurant.
With so many martial artists gathering at Yunshan, crowded restaurants were normal. Who would have thought that just one extra glance at her would make Damien Gray stare at the man through the entire meal? If the man hadn’t hurried off, Damien would probably have kept staring.
But it’s unlikely anyone could stand his sinister gaze for long!
With a helpless sigh, Morgan Shangguan pulled his head down and gave him a fierce kiss on the lips, warning, "Behave yourself!"
Damien Gray sat down regretfully to the side. Fine! He’d help his precious daughter vent her anger first!
He pulled Morgan Shangguan onto his lap, glanced down at the immobilized Irene Yi, but said nothing.
Irene Yi scrutinized the two but had no idea who they were.
Morgan Shangguan, dressed in flowing white, looked like a celestial maiden—beautiful, serene, and ethereal. Damien Gray, in his black robe, was strikingly handsome. Though he didn’t exude a cold aura, except toward the woman in his arms, he kept everyone else at a distance. Both had awakened their powers, and their appearances hadn’t changed at all over the years.
Irene Yi watched them warily. They seemed familiar, but with such remarkable looks, she’d never forget if she’d met them before. She couldn’t recall any enemies like them, nor had she heard of such outstanding people in the martial world. Why had they abducted her?
Morgan Shangguan gazed at Irene Yi, a gentle smile on her face. Damien Gray picked up a teacup from the table and held it to her lips. Morgan took a sip, moistening her throat before speaking, "There’s nothing wrong with loving someone, but loving them so much that you want to ruin their happiness—that’s a grave mistake!"
Damien Gray smiled and kissed her cheek, teasing, "Morgan, if I fell in love with someone else, would you ruin my happiness?"
Morgan Shangguan shot him a gentle, loving look. "You can try and see if I won’t send you straight to the Eighteen Hells!"
Damien Gray only laughed more brightly, hugging her tighter. "I knew you loved me deeply!"
