Climbing Into Bed, I Thought I Slept With a Maid

2/14/2026

Adrian Eastlyn (Prince Rowan) shut his eyes, hiding the pain and fury within them. His fists clenched so tightly that he feared he might lose control and beat Dongling Zichun to death right on the spot.

Dongling Zichun should count himself lucky—if the Crown Prince and Dominic Zhai weren’t here, if Adrian didn’t have to maintain his own dignity, he would have already struck him.

When Serena Feng and Ninth Royal Uncle Nolan entered, they saw the Crown Prince perfectly composed, ignoring Prince Terrence Valen’s anger and Princess Yara’s accusations as if they didn’t exist.

No way—he would never admit to this, not even if his life depended on it. No matter what, the blame had to be pushed onto Princess Yara.

Dongling Zichun just stood there, utterly confused, shrinking into the corner as Adrian Eastlyn’s murderous glare bore down on him—he kept trying to make himself less noticeable…

"What’s going on here? Why is everyone gathered so early in the morning?" Ninth Royal Uncle Nolan stood at the courtyard gate, a flash of cold dislike in his eyes.

Sinister! Sinister! Way too sinister!

Nolan knew exactly what he was doing—he was forcing Princess Yara to repeat this scandal all over again. Ha! Who would’ve thought Yara would end up like this one day.

Just thinking about what Yara did makes Serena angry. All because she liked Adrian Eastlyn, she ruined Serena’s engagement and reputation. A woman like her deserves to taste what it’s like to have her own name and future destroyed.

Serena doesn’t care who Yara marries—she just couldn’t stand the idea of her marrying Adrian Eastlyn. Now that Yara’s wish has fallen through, how could Serena not be pleased?

Too clever for her own good—calculating every move, only to ruin herself in the end. Princess Yara brought this on herself; the seeds she sowed before are finally bearing fruit today.

Serena Feng stood leisurely behind Nolan, making no effort to hide that she was here for the spectacle, her gaze mocking as she watched Terrence and Yara.

Dominic Zhai, seeing Nolan and Serena enter, hurried over to greet them, then—just like Serena—stood behind Nolan, shooting her a conspiratorial look.

He didn’t say anything, but Serena caught Dominic’s meaning: it was just karma—evil meets its match, and those who harm others will eventually get what’s coming to them.

Clearly, even though Yara tried to keep her schemes secret back then, plenty of people knew what really happened.

The Crown Prince and Dongling Zichun hurried over too—the former to back up Nolan, the latter looking for his protection. Other than Adrian Eastlyn, the two sides were clearly divided, and Serena could practically smell the gunpowder in the air.

"Royal Uncle…" Dongling Zichun choked out as soon as he got close, his face so pitiful it made people feel sorry for him.

"Coming out in such a state—what do you think you look like? People might think the Eastlyn royal family is nothing but a bunch of degenerates. Go put on your clothes properly before you show yourself again." Though he was scolding Dongling Zichun, he was clearly dragging Princess Yara into it too.

"I—I’ll go right now." Dongling Zichun dashed inside, three steps at a time. Prince Terrence tried to stop him, but Nolan cut in first: "Standing around here—what do you all look like? If you have something to say, take it to the reception hall. Crown Prince, you’re being awfully rude."

"You’re right, Royal Uncle." The Crown Prince quickly apologized. Nolan acknowledged him, then pointed at Adrian Eastlyn: "And you, Ziluo—don’t forget you’re a prince of Eastlyn. Act like it. Don’t disgrace the royal family’s reputation."

Nolan just couldn’t stop himself from lecturing people. Standing behind him, Serena watched the Crown Prince and Adrian Eastlyn lower their heads obediently—and honestly, she was a little envious.

Nolan really knows how to live well…

Adrian Eastlyn’s face went pale. He quickly bowed his head, "Royal Uncle is right." With a long exhale, his body slowly relaxed and his expression became more natural.

What’s done is done—even if he killed Dongling Zichun now, it wouldn’t change anything. Besides, no one really knew what happened yet, and this was Nolan’s villa; if he caused trouble here, Nolan would be the first to deal with him.

Nolan nodded in satisfaction, never once glancing at Prince Terrence, then turned and walked out.

"Ninth Royal Uncle!" Prince Terrence was clearly upset. They were guests here, and with a scandal like this, Nolan couldn’t just wash his hands of responsibility.

Nolan stopped and turned, lifting his chin slightly, his face cold: "What, Prince Terrence—do you have something to say?"

"Something to say? Of course I do! Nolan, my royal sister was disgraced in your villa—shouldn’t I demand answers?" Prince Terrence shielded Yara behind him, meeting Nolan’s gaze head-on, trying to overpower him.

The moment Nolan entered, he became the center of gravity for the whole courtyard.

"Prince Terrence, what do you want to ask? Don’t forget, when I arranged for you to stay here, the entire courtyard was handed over to your people, with Lyndaria’s own guards at the gates. I trust no one could have snuck in and taken Princess Yara out. After all, this villa isn’t the old Feng Manor—just anyone can’t come and go as they please." Nolan’s words were pointed, his eyes full of mockery.

Your Lyndarian royals played your tricks first—why shouldn’t he respond in kind?

Princess Yara is a woman—so is Serena Feng. I’m far more decent than you lot; at least today, not many people know what happened.

Nolan snorted coldly.

"Nolan, what do you mean by that?" Prince Terrence was startled; his first reaction wasn’t anger, but unease. He quickly looked at Serena, catching the flash of mockery in her eyes and the playful smirk on her lips.

She knows?

Prince Terrence felt both worried and relieved. If Serena knew, then she should realize the one who left those kiss marks on her was him. In that case…

Could he take her as a concubine?

Prince Terrence stared at Serena, his intentions written all over his face. Serena turned away in disdain.

She wasn’t afraid at all now. Nolan had said it himself—without his permission, she couldn’t marry anyone.

Terrence wants to marry her? Not a chance—not even in his next life.

Staring at the woman he wanted right in front of him—Terrence sure had guts. Nolan had originally planned to save some face for Terrence and Yara, but since they refused the gesture, he didn’t hold back. Nolan shot Dongling Zichun a look: "You, stay right there."

"Zichun, what exactly happened last night? Speak!" Nolan ignored Terrence and went straight to one of the people involved.

Dongling Zichun wasn’t stupid—he knew exactly how to answer. Putting on a face of grievance, he said, "Royal Uncle, I don’t know what happened either. Half asleep, I realized a woman had climbed into my bed—she was very forward and enthusiastic. I thought it was just a maid trying to curry favor, so I didn’t think much of it and slept with her. I figured, it’s just a maid, right? Who would’ve guessed it was Princess Yara?"

If anyone was frustrated, Dongling Zichun was even more so than Adrian Eastlyn. Adrian treated Princess Yara like a treasure, while Zichun saw her as nothing but trouble.

If it had just been a maid, he could’ve slept with her and forgotten about it. But Princess Yara was different—sleeping with her meant he’d have to marry her.

But the one he wanted to marry was Serena Feng…
