Something Feels Wrong

The man took out the Heaven-Seeking Compass, then gathered the surrounding aura. With Boss Nether's explanation, the pointer indicated a direction. The Golden Heaven Temple cultivator smiled, "They're southeast. Let's go!"

Boss Nether was overjoyed. With the Golden Heaven Temple cultivator's help, the two flew onward, testing the direction with the artifact as they went.

Unaware that the Heaven-Seeking Compass even existed, Evan Yang and Megan Rain were currently pondering how to leave this world-realm.

"We have to leave this world-realm. Otherwise, if they find us again by some other means, we still won't be able to withstand so many experts. Or if that guy goes to get reinforcements, it'll only get trickier," Evan said.

"Yeah, but I only got here because of that chaotic spatial storm. I have no idea how to get out now, or where this place connects to the Chaos World," Megan sighed.

"Every realm has at least one gateway to the Chaos World. This one must too—we just haven't found it yet," Evan said.

"This world-realm is huge. If we search every inch, it'll take years—unless we can find a local powerhouse and ask," Megan said.

"That could work. Let's go," Evan said.

So Evan took Megan to a nearby city, asking around about who the strongest person was. When people heard them asking such questions, they treated them like lunatics, thinking they were just randomly asking nonsense.

"Looks like we need to find someone and ask about the biggest sect here," Megan said, seeing no one wanted to answer. Evan was helpless too, so he agreed to her plan.

So the two of them grabbed a cultivator and dragged him straight out of the city.

The cultivator realized these two were no ordinary people—anyone who could haul him so far with one hand had to be powerful.

"Seniors, wh-what do you want?" he asked nervously.

"Relax, we're not here to hurt you. We just want to ask you a few questions," Megan said.

"If I know the answer, I'll definitely tell you, seniors," he replied, relieved it was just questions.

"What's the strongest sect around here?" Megan asked.

"I know. It's the War-Titan Sect, way up in the far north. If you ask around there, you'll find out," he said.

"I hope you weren't lying. You know what happens if you do," Megan warned. She let him go, exchanged a glance with Evan, and the two vanished in a flash—headed north.

Meanwhile, Boss Nether and the Golden Heaven Temple monk were tracking Megan and Evan. After a while, the monk said, "They've changed direction."

"What? Did they notice us?" Boss Nether wondered, suspicious.

"I'm not sure, but either way, we have to find them. Right now, they're heading north," said the Golden Heaven Temple cultivator. Boss Nether nodded, so the two changed direction and went north.

Evan and Megan headed north, arriving at a northern city. They investigated and learned the exact location of War-Titan Sect.

War-Titan Sect was situated atop a high mountain in the north, and the sect itself was suspended above the mountain.

"War-Titan Sect—is it really that strong?" Megan muttered.

"It's considered strong here, but in front of the Dream Deity, it wouldn't be much," Evan smiled.

"Alright, stop flattering me," Megan laughed.

"Alright, let's go in and see what kind of place War-Titan Sect really is," Evan said to Megan, wasting no time.

The two flew up the mountain, intending to enter the sect directly, but were blocked by a barrier.

"Interesting, even a sect in this world-realm has such a powerful barrier," Evan smiled.

"Whatever, worst case I'll just shoot a hole in it," Megan said.

"Don't. If you shoot directly, it'll definitely anger those inside—then we'll be in trouble," Evan replied.

"What, are you scared?" Megan asked curiously.

"I'm not really scared—it's just beyond imagination. You never thought a sect in a world-realm would have such a powerful barrier, and even divine sense can't get in. What's more, there's nobody coming or going around here," Evan said.

"That's a good point. So what do we do?" Megan asked, curious.

"How about this—we try sending a sound transmission into the barrier," Evan said to Megan.

Megan nodded, so the two tried sending a sound transmission to the barrier to see what would happen. But there was still no response. The usually calm Megan muttered, "Looks like it's time to get serious. This time, don't stop me."

"There's no other way," Evan said helplessly. At worst, they'd offend some people.

So Megan shot an arrow at the barrier, making it tremble a few times. Soon, someone emerged from within.

Two armored men, holding long spears, stood before Evan and Megan. One said, "Who are you, and why are you damaging our War-Titan Sect?"

"These two aren't weak," Megan laughed.

Evan frowned—surely not every gatekeeper here is at the God-level? This sect is really impressive.

"Still laughing? Looks like you're troublemakers—let's take you in!" The two men snorted, leveled their spears at Evan and Megan, and before they could react, transported them into a small barrier. Outside, they saw a luxurious palace, all perched atop mountaintops.

Not only that, the two spear-wielding men stood outside the barrier. One said, "I've reported to the palace master. He'll deal with these two soon."

"Hey, did we enter the wrong place? This sect isn't as fragile as we thought," Megan said, suspicious.

Evan realized this too, so he smiled, "Looks like we'll have to fight. Let's shoot this barrier, then grab one of them, ask about the exit, and leave."

"You should've said so sooner—I couldn't wait," Megan laughed, took out her bow, and shot at the barrier. The two men were shocked; they never expected Evan and Megan to have such power.

As they tried to control Evan and Megan again, Evan punched one in the forehead, paralyzing him instantly and sealing him. The other was even less fortunate—Megan shot him straight through with an arrow.

"That might've been a bit much," Evan sighed, seeing the man pierced by Megan's arrow.

"Couldn't control my strength. But you've got one—let's hurry," Megan said.

Evan nodded, grabbed the man, found a secluded spot, and released his voice, smiling, "How do we leave here? And where is the gateway connecting the outside world-realm to the Chaos World?"

"You'll never get out," the man said angrily.

"Whether we get out or not is our business. Just worry about yourself," Megan said.

The man refused to speak, so Evan sealed him again and said, "Only I can undo this. If you don't want to be paralyzed or mute forever, tell me. If you do, I can't help you."

The man remained unmoved, waiting for Evan and Megan to be caught. So the two wandered around this strange place.

"From outside, it looked like a small sect, but inside it was huge. Looks like there's a hidden world inside this barrier," Megan laughed.

"Whoever built a sect inside a barrier is really talented. That's impressive," Evan laughed.

The two praised as they searched for their next target. At first, it was quiet, until someone discovered the ruined holding area and a corpse. Furious, he shouted, "Who did this? Show yourself!"

Soon, the entire sect was alarmed. Hearing that two outsiders had infiltrated and killed sect members, everyone saw it as a provocation. The whole sect went on high alert. Hiding in the shadows, Evan and Megan watched as expert after expert emerged, marveling at just how many strong cultivators War-Titan Sect had.

"So many strong people—looks like this sect is full of God-level experts," Megan said, surprised.

"Yes, they're in here. But what is this place? Why is there such a huge barrier?" the man asked curiously.

"If I'm not mistaken, this is the War-Titan Sect," Boss Nether said after examining it closely. War-Titan Sect is an independent force within the Nether Sky Realm; although it's not directly under Nether Sky's control, in some matters, the two are closely linked.

"Oh? So this is the War-Titan Sect? That's interesting. Are those two really so bold to come here? I've heard the War-Titan Sect has someone who has surpassed humanity and entered the Heavenly Dao—wonder if that's true," the man said, both envious and amused.

"Maybe a bit higher than Brother Fang, but I'm not sure. The Heavenly Dao is something I've just touched upon—it's like a vast ocean. Who knows when I'll fully understand it," Boss Nether sighed.

"You'll have your chance. Come on, let's greet the people of War-Titan Sect," the man said.

Boss Nether nodded, then activated the barrier. Soon, a group appeared. Boss Nether and his companion were curious—just a greeting, why so many people?

But the group glared fiercely at Boss Nether and his companion.

Seeing they were about to attack, Boss Nether didn't want trouble, so he said, "I'm Victor 'Boss Nether' Kane, one of the Ten Nether Sky Kings. Here to pay respects to War-Titan Sect."

When they heard he was from the Nether Sky Realm, they withdrew their aura. They knew War-Titan Sect was in the Nether Sky Realm, and no matter what, they couldn't surpass the Nether Sky Realm—otherwise, War-Titan Sect would suffer.

So one asked, "What are you from the Nether Sky Realm doing here?"

"We're here to catch two people, but they disappeared after entering," Boss Nether said.
