Four-Directions Sword Array

2/14/2026

Evan Lin let out a cold laugh, raising his palm as eighteen tiny water dragons shot out in a line, streaking toward Butcher Tu.

Butcher Tu's entire body was guarded by a powerful barrier of force. Seeing a dragon coming at him, he swung his hand in reverse, slicing through one of the dragons with his water sword.

But the recoil from the sword hilt made Butcher Tu's expression change drastically.

The remaining seventeen water dragons circled around Butcher Tu. Not daring to get entangled, he repeatedly used his force to slash at the dragons. With a furious roar, he gripped his sword in both hands and cut down three more of the tiny water dragons.

Evan Lin stood atop the car. Less than a hundred meters ahead was the next corner—right before a near hundred-meter cliff!

"This is where it ends."

Evan spoke indifferently, lightly brushing his palm as a streak of black light appeared in his hand.

The next moment, a vast sword-drawing sound echoed between heaven and earth.

The Four-Directions Sword Casket!

From within the casket, sword-light flashed. In the next second, four longswords—led by Dustleave and supported by the Sudden-Clarity Sword—appeared right in front of Butcher Tu.

The four swords stood upright, trapping him inside.

A powerful sense of danger spread through Butcher Tu's heart. His face turned serious as he bit down on his tongue, spitting out a string of blood essence that formed a mist in the air.

"Even if I die today, I'm taking you with me!"

Butcher Tu's sinister face twisted with ferocity. His water sword absorbed all the blood essence, and the sword—previously weakened from slashing dragons—suddenly blazed with sharp, deadly energy.

"Die!"

Butcher Tu locked his gaze on the car roof, bent his knees, and launched himself like a cannonball through the rain, sword in both hands, trying to reach Evan before the Four-Directions Sword Array closed in.

Even if this sword couldn't kill, he was determined to drag Evan Lin to the edge of the cliff!

Evan Lin stood with his hands behind his back, eyes forward, unmoved.

In Yvonne Zhu's eyes, Butcher Tu was suddenly right in front of them. But in the blink of an eye, even as he reached the car, four bloody lines suddenly split open on his body.

A second later, the air was filled with blood mist.

The four swords—Dustleave and its companions—returned to the Four-Directions Sword Casket as if nothing had happened at all.

Heaven and earth were once again swept by rain, the night deep and endless. Butcher Tu was gone from this world.

The cold wind lashed against Yvonne Zhu, her heart pounding wildly. It took her a long time to recover from what just happened, still unable to understand how Butcher Tu had vanished.

If not for Evan Lin still standing atop the car, Yvonne might have thought it was all just a dream.

"Watch out!"

Yvonne snapped out of it and looked ahead, her face changing dramatically.

The straightaway had ended. Below was a bottomless abyss, and the road ahead was separated by dozens of meters!

No matter how fast they went, charging ahead would only mean total destruction.

Bang!

The car smashed through the guardrail and flew out into the air.

In midair, the wheels spun wildly. Yvonne Zhu felt a chill in her heart, and in the next instant, a crushing sense of weightlessness flooded her body and mind.

Is this how I die?

That thought flashed through Yvonne Zhu's mind. She jerked her gaze to Evan Lin, still standing on the car roof. Evan glanced down at her.

"It's fine. Just sit tight."

Evan's calm words cut through the roar of wind and rain.

Before Yvonne could respond, she suddenly realized the weightless feeling had completely vanished!

Stunned, she looked out the window—and saw that beneath the Mini, a gigantic water dragon had appeared!

The water dragon's body stretched across the chasm, reaching all the way to the valley floor.

At that moment, the Mini was racing madly along the water dragon's back.

Evan Lin tapped his foot, dropped into the driver's seat, closed the sunroof, and shut out the wind and rain. He spun the wheel and, with a sharp drift, slid the car off the dragon's back and onto the mountain road below.

The massive water dragon dissolved into a curtain of rain, falling back to earth.

Vroom!

The Mini's engine was still roaring. Up ahead was the final turn—after that, they'd reach the end of the downhill run.

People were already waiting at the finish line.

"It's already been six minutes. In five more, we'll know who comes down the mountain first." A man glanced at his stopwatch, took a deep drag, and blew out a smoke ring.

"Last time, Keene No. 2 took eleven minutes to finish the downhill run. This time it's raining, so it might be a few seconds slower, but it won't matter. That kid in the Mini doesn't even realize just how huge the gap is between him and Keene No. 2!" Another man shook his head. "This mountain road is complicated, and it's his first time running it. With rain this heavy, just surviving the run would be a miracle."

"Too bad for him. Crossing Keene No. 2 means he's courting death."

The group looked bored and restless.

Soon, someone heard the sound of a car coming around the bend.

"A car's coming!"

He shouted, and everyone's eyes snapped to that spot.

"It's only six minutes and ten seconds—someone's already finished?"

Someone clicked their tongue in amazement. "Could Keene No. 2 have gotten that much faster after all this practice?"

"Six minutes and ten seconds—that smashes Henry He's record!"

He cried out in shock.

The next instant, the screech of tires on asphalt yanked him back to reality.

At the end of the road, a pair of headlights pierced the rain, blazing toward them.

A car shot past like a bolt of lightning.

"The Mini?"

"Holy crap!"

"What the hell? Did that kid just break the record?"

When the Mini got close, they could finally see clearly. As it reached the finish, it pulled off an arrogant 180-degree drift, leaving deep tire marks before shooting right back up the mountain!

"Shit!"

After a long moment, as the group finally processed what had just happened, their faces changed wildly—one was even so shocked he dropped his phone.

"That's three or four minutes faster than Henry He's record!"

"Is that Mini driver... is he crazy or what?"

Inside a guest room at the Phoenix Welcome Pavilion, Henry He watched the car's headlights start up the mountain road, his face a mix of shock and suspicion. From his angle, he couldn't see what had happened on the straightaway.

But judging by the time, since the car was already heading uphill, the downhill run had definitely shattered his record!

"That driver really is... totally nuts."

Yolanda Fang muttered to herself, her face full of admiration.

She didn't know all the details, but judging by Henry He's expression, she could tell that driver was something special.
