Solo Raid on the Dragon's Den

At this moment, Jade Swann furrowed her delicate brows and said, "The whole above-ground structure looks so ordinary, but the secret core is hundreds of meters deep underground. The entire perimeter of this biochemical facility is tightly guarded, and the only entrance is this building on the surface. According to intel, we can only sneak into this building and rush down to the underground core as fast as possible—only then can we reach the heavily protected biochemical weapons lab and find Ryusuke Eguchi... But right now..."

Colonel Hank Han quickly asked, "So what's the problem now?"

Jade Swann sighed, "The biggest problem is that our clearance level isn't high enough to get into the underground base. If we force our way in, aside from the security forces on the surface, there's a secret garrison of a full Self-Defense Force battalion underground. To prevent foreign espionage, the Japanese military designed a meticulous entrance defense system. There are tons of advanced weapons hidden throughout the underground base—including more than 200 infrared-sensor machine guns in the corridors, gas isolation chambers, and even a self-destruct mechanism for the whole research facility. The self-destruct can be triggered remotely and is controlled by the base commander. According to the Japanese military, it's their way of destroying all evidence of biochemical research—a last-ditch move to counter international pressure!"

Colonel Hank Han paused and said, "So, Jade, are you saying even getting past the first checkpoint will be really tough for us?"

Jade Swann nodded and sighed softly, "We only have 10 minutes to stay here. If we go over, the patrolling guards will get suspicious. What worries me most are the snipers lurking in the shadows around the base. If only we could avoid them! If we can sneak into that building, we might just get down to the underground lab."

Shawn Young suddenly chimed in, "Uh, does that mean if we get past the security perimeter outside, we can get inside?"

Jade Swann looked at him and nodded, "Why? You got a way in?"

Shawn Young thought for a moment and said, "Well, since we're already at the point of no return, we might as well go for it."

Colonel Hank Han's eyes lit up, "What? Bro, you really have a way to sneak in?"

Shawn Young shook his head, "I'm not sure yet, but let me use the Heavenly Eye Technique to check out the area first. Then I'll figure something out."

Jade Swann urged, "Hurry up, we don't have much time!"

Shawn Young nodded and fell silent, already activating the Heavenly Eye Technique. As he scanned with it, Ray Tang's expression kept changing—this underground biochemical research base was even more heavily fortified than everyone had imagined.

Luckily, Shawn Young used the Heavenly Eye Technique just in time to spot some deeply hidden sentries. He quickly scanned inside the surface building and suddenly saw a group of about ten people, all wearing silver-white biohazard suits that covered them from head to toe, only their eyes showing. They were holding equipment and each had a keycard, lining up to enter an elevator. These must be the research staff of the underground biochemical base.

An idea struck Shawn Young. "Alright, I've got a plan. But only one of us can get into that underground base."

Jade Swann and Colonel Hank Han quickly asked, "What plan?"

Shawn Young said, "Let me sneak in alone. I'll find Ryusuke Eguchi. You two quietly leave for now. Once I succeed, I'll use the Second Sight Technique to signal Fiona Wu for extraction."

Jade Swann exclaimed, "Oh?! Your Second Sight power has reached the level of spiritual telepathy?"

Shawn Young nodded, "Yeah, I just reached it. I'll go in alone!"

Colonel Hank Han protested, "No way, what if—what if you..."

Colonel Hank Han didn't finish his worry, but it was obvious—he doubted Shawn Young could handle such a tough mission alone. But Jade Swann suddenly said to him, "Captain Han, do you have a better way to get in? Besides, maybe the Japanese have already set up a trap just waiting for us to walk right into it!"

Colonel Hank Han and the other 'Dragon God' team members were stunned for a moment, then he nodded heavily and clapped Shawn Young on the shoulder, saying, "Alright! Bro, we're behind you! Whatever consequences I face this time, I'll accept them!"

Shawn Young smiled, "Big Brother Hank, don’t say that. Just give me one hour—if I’m not back in an hour, you guys go with Plan B!"

Colonel Hank Han looked at him and sighed deeply, "Alright! If you’re not out in an hour, we’ll storm in! Even if we die, we’ll die for our country!"

Shawn Young nodded, "I’ll do my best to come back!"

With that, Shawn Young activated the Celestial Essence within him, rapidly forming the Seal of Transcendence with his hands and chanting an incantation under his breath. He quickly flicked his hands out the car window, sending a nearly invisible streak of violet light soaring into the night sky. Soon, a faint, eerie purple glow blanketed the area around the surface building, making the base lights flicker as if swayed by the wind.

Immediately, all the Self-Defense Force soldiers around the building—including the hidden snipers, patrolling guards, and guard dogs—became dazed, their minds blank for a moment. Each shook their head, blaming it on nerves.

Seizing the moment, Shawn Young flung open the car door and dashed toward the building like a startled swan. Under the stunned gazes of Colonel Hank Han and the others, he slipped inside in less than five seconds.

Shawn Young quickly snuck up behind the last staff member in a biohazard suit, and while the man was still dazed, Shawn struck the back of his neck with a fierce punch.

With a thud, the powerful blow shattered the man's throat. He died instantly, collapsing without a sound. Shawn grabbed the body and dragged it into a blind spot beneath the surveillance camera.

Shawn Young quickly stripped off the biohazard suit and put it on himself, grabbed the keycard, and stuffed the body into a nearby trash bin. Then he joined the queue at the elevator. As soon as the purple glow faded, everything returned to normal, and the dazed staff all shook their heads, a little spooked by their own lack of focus—none of them realized they'd just been hit by Shawn Young's Trance Spell.

Shawn Young was relieved that his rapid actions hadn't triggered the base's alarm system. The first step of his risky plan had worked.

Ding—the elevator doors opened. The researchers in biohazard suits filed in, and Shawn Young joined them. After everyone was inside, the doors closed and the elevator sped downwards. The best part? Not a single word was spoken the whole time.

The elevator kept descending for nearly ten minutes, at least 500 meters underground, before stopping. Ding—the doors opened, and the researchers filed out. Shawn Young carefully followed, and what he saw in the underground facility completely blew his mind!
