Long River Plain

The young woman was, of course, Lena Zhong. Today she had clearly dressed up on purpose, making herself look especially stunning, but no one dared approach her lightly—her aura alone was enough to make people shrink back in fear.

When Lena saw Evan and Elder Lee appear at the City Lord’s Mansion gate, she immediately walked over. “Evan, I’ve been waiting for you for ages. Let’s go!” A simple sentence, but the meaning behind it was anything but simple.

Evan smiled slightly. “Sorry for making you wait, Ling’er. I hope you’re not mad. You’re our full-time guide on this trip, after all.”

“If I were mad, I wouldn’t be here at all. With so many people and loose tongues around, we should keep a low profile. Let’s get outside the city gates first—rules are rules in All-Stars City, after all!” Lena said.

The three of them left the city gates together. Evan, however, was lost in thought—he’d already been in the God Realm for ten years. It was a short time, but so much had happened.

Jade had ascended to the God Realm before him—he had no idea how she was doing now. In the God Realm, without Violet Cloud Crystals or God Stones, survival was nearly impossible. He wondered if she’d show up at Rainbow Court’s auction this time.

He also didn’t know if Fairy Lynn, Yvonne Xuan, and the other women had ascended yet. The God Realm seemed calm on the surface, but was full of danger—especially for devastating beauties like them. He truly worried for their safety.

“Evan, what are you thinking about? You’ve seemed preoccupied this whole way. If there’s anything bothering you, why not talk it out?” Lena asked suddenly.

“It’s nothing. How are we getting to Rainbow Court? Are we flying there?” Evan asked.

“Flying? The God Realm is bigger than you can imagine—you have to use a Teleportation Gate. If you tried to fly the whole way, you wouldn’t get there in years. But with a gate, it only takes a few days. Rainbow Court’s gate is sealed for now, though—too many people are coming for the auction and there’s too much to prepare. They don’t want any chaos.”

We can only teleport to Azure Moon City, a first-tier city under Rainbow Court’s control. From Azure Moon City, it’s just a few days’ journey to Rainbow Court—I bet Azure Moon City will be absolutely packed this time,” Lena said.

Evan glanced at Elder Lee in confusion. Elder Lee immediately laughed, “She’s right. Azure Moon City is one of Rainbow Court’s major cities. Its City Lord is late-stage God-Emperor level, quite famous in the God Realm—you should see for yourself.”

Evan knew that as long as Elder Lee was with him, he wouldn’t call him ‘young master’ in front of Lena. If Elder Lee showed too much respect to a newly ascended God-Lord, it would definitely raise suspicions—after all, Elder Lee was a God-King. Treating someone who’d just broken through as a superior would make anyone wonder.

“Elder Lee, once we reach Azure Moon City, let’s split up for a while. That’ll help us avoid unnecessary trouble. You don’t need to worry about my safety—I can take care of myself.” Evan said this to Elder Lee via secret sound transmission.

Elder Lee instantly understood Evan’s meaning. “Evan, once we reach Azure Moon City, we’ll go our separate ways. I hope you can get what you want at the auction, but remember: do everything within your means. Items at the auction are insanely expensive, so judge according to your own situation.”

A flicker of suspicion flashed across Lena’s face, but she quickly composed herself. Evan noticed it—she clearly cared a lot about his relationship with Elder Lee. Stormtower’s information network was terrifyingly strong, but even they couldn’t dig up this detail.

Now that Evan had explained their relationship as just ‘ordinary,’ it was enough to put her doubts to rest. She might investigate again, but she wouldn’t care as much anymore.

The three of them flew through the air, wind howling past their ears. “A hundred thousand li from here, on the Long River Plain, there’s a gigantic Teleportation Gate. Once we get there, we can teleport,” Lena explained.

“Why is there a Teleportation Gate on the Long River Plain? Is there a big city there?” Evan asked, puzzled.

“There used to be a huge city, about as big as Azure Moon City. But now it’s gone—no one knows why. The entire Long River City vanished overnight, leaving only that gigantic Teleportation Gate behind.

“This Teleportation Gate can send you anywhere. You’ll see how amazing it is once you’re there. In the God Realm, it’s one of a kind—even the Heavenblade Sect’s gates can’t compare,” Lena said.

The more Evan heard, the more shocked he became. If even the Heavenblade Sect couldn’t match it, who built this gate? And who had the power to make an entire city disappear overnight? Could this mystery be connected to his own past? He knew he’d have to solve it himself.

A hundred thousand li wasn’t far for the three of them. If they used instantaneous movement, they could cover it in half an hour. But none of them did, and that puzzled Evan—why fly when you could teleport instantly?

What Evan didn’t know was that space in the God Realm was incredibly dangerous. Spatial turbulence could easily swallow a god whole, and instantaneous movement was the most likely way to trigger it. Weak turbulence could devour Heavenly God-level beings.

But strong turbulence was even more terrifying—it could swallow God-Emperors, even God-Venerables. Of course, the odds of encountering such turbulence were low, but no one could guarantee it wouldn’t happen. That’s why people usually fly or use Teleportation Gates in the God Realm.

Only in emergencies would someone risk instantaneous movement. Lena had explained all this to Evan: getting caught in turbulence was like entering another world, and escaping was nearly impossible—like falling into a spatial black hole, except turbulence could shred you instantly, while black holes were relatively much safer.

After breaking through to the God-Lord realm, Evan’s flying speed had increased dramatically. With the help of wind acceleration, he could barely keep up with Lena and Elder Lee. Both were amazed by his speed—especially Lena.

She even suspected Evan might be holding back his true strength. But she knew he’d only just ascended to the God Realm and was still clueless about many things—his talent was simply extraordinary.

Two days later, the three arrived at the Long River Plain—a vast, endless expanse. The grass was lush and green, dotted with colorful flowers that made the plain even more beautiful.

From time to time, figures could be seen flying overhead—clearly heading for the Teleportation Gate. “Let’s go, Evan. The Long River Plain is a very strange place. Once we’ve passed through the gate, I’ll tell you some secrets!” Lena said.
