Yin Family Members Kick Miles Gu When He's Down

1/4/2026

A few of the only decent people in the Yin Family couldn't help but speak up for Miles Gu: "That's enough, you guys. Don't go overboard. Even if Miles Gu broke off his engagement with Yina, he's still a child raised by the Yin Family. And don't forget, whenever we ran into trouble before, it was Miles who stepped up to help us out. Don't be so ungrateful."

"Oh wow, Little Seven, whose side are you on?" The one who'd just mocked Miles Gu sarcastically turned and said, "Miles is bankrupt now. If you want to be a bootlicker, at least pick the right person! Even if you suck up, Miles can't give you any benefits anymore!"

Little Seven's face flushed with anger: "Third Brother, what nonsense are you talking!"

"Miles Gu, let me be real with you. If you know what's good for you, just get lost and stop pestering Yina. My mom already picked someone out for Yina, and we're just waiting for her to say yes." That guy, clearly drunk, said, "Once Yina marries in, I'll be royalty!"

"Third Brother, you're drunk! It was my grandma who picked someone for Yina, and that family will treat her well. I'm the one who's going to be royalty!"

"You're all talking nonsense! My wife is planning to introduce her brother to Yina! That way, I'll be Yina's real brother-in-law, and we'll truly be family!"

The whole group immediately started arguing over who Yina should end up with.

The scene turned awkward for a moment.

Little Seven couldn't take it anymore and said, "Yina is the clan leader's own daughter. You bunch of useless idiots have no right to fantasize!"

After saying that, Little Seven turned to Miles Gu and said, "They're all crazy. Just ignore them!"

Miles Gu's lips curled into a faint smile, as graceful and composed as ever: "Little Seven, I'm bankrupt. Why do you still bother with me?"

"So what if you're bankrupt? As long as you're still Miles Gu, your empire will be yours again one day!" Little Seven huffed. "Forget this dinner! I'm going back to school!"

With that, Little Seven shoved his chair back and left the table.

Miles Gu stroked his chin as he watched Little Seven's retreating figure, and smiled.

Turns out, not everyone in the Yin Family is heartless.

See? Little Seven still has a pure heart!

At the next table, Ethan Yin also overheard those idiots giving Miles Gu a hard time.

Ethan Yin let out a cold laugh and didn't bother getting involved.

He knew Miles Gu wasn't the type to suffer losses.

He wanted to make sure he knew exactly who was friend and who was foe, so when it was time to settle scores, he wouldn't miss anyone.

Family should always stick together!

No one knows when it started, but suddenly everyone was talking about how Miles Gu had gone bankrupt, returned to the Yin Family, and was asking Charles Yin and Cecilia Gu for help.

At first, things were calm, but then the rumors grew more and more fierce, and it turned into Miles not only being bankrupt but also owing billions, so poor he had to sell his car.

Ethan Yin stroked his chin, thinking.

The person spreading the rumor probably saw Miles driving Yina's red Maserati and jumped to conclusions.

But actually, this was a good thing.

He could use this opportunity to see the Yin Family's true colors.

So, Ethan Yin didn't explain anything. When people asked if Miles Gu was really bankrupt, Ethan Yin just put on a sad face and sighed.

That was enough to let others fill in the blanks themselves.

When the rumor reached Cherry Miller and Yina Yin, the two of them could only laugh and cry.

These people are useless at everything except spreading rumors—they're number one at that.

You really have to hand it to them for working so hard to spread the news.

Even if they don't know Miles Gu's private wealth, can't they see he's constantly busy with different projects?

Well, if they're determined to be willfully blind, there's nothing anyone else can do.

The two of them tacitly agreed not to explain.

This was a rare opportunity to see whether the clan members raised by Charles Yin's family were human or monsters.

At the main table, three clan elders were seated with Charles Yin.

"Charles, I'm telling you, Miles Gu is bankrupt. Why did you invite him here? This is the Yin Family's ancestral ceremony—what's he doing here?" Uncle Eugene asked drunkenly.

Charles Yin countered, "You never objected when Miles Gu attended the ancestral ceremony before."

"That's not the same! Miles Gu wasn't bankrupt before, and he was your son-in-law. Now it's different—I heard the UK has revoked his inheritance, his investments have failed, and he owes a ton of money. As a Yin Family Elder, I absolutely won't allow Miles Gu back into the family!"
