Drifting Dragon Steps and Phantom Bird Body
Many people were watching the match from below the stage, including Harriet Gu and Yoon Zhengyang.
"Why is Junior Brother Huang being so reckless? Abandoning his sword will drop his strength by at least thirty percent!" Yoon Zhengyang said worriedly.
Hearing this, Harriet Gu's eyelids twitched, but she said nothing. Deep down, though, she believed he would win this match.
"Heh, someone's about to eat dirt!" an upperclassman sneered.
"Exactly! He only broke through to the ninth layer of Qi-Refining two months ago. His true qi can't compare to Senior Jared Tu's depth and purity, and Senior Jared's Nine Yang Palms are practically legendary. That guy's bound to lose! If he doesn't use his sword, even I might be able to beat him!"
Another upperclassman chimed in. His name was Benson Han, previously ranked 480 on the Qi-Refining Ranking, but after losing to Ian Song, he dropped to 481. Though it was only one spot, he still held a grudge against Ian for beating him.
"A loser like you still dares to brag? You think you could beat Senior Brother Huang? Try training for another ten years!"
Just then, Winnie Shentu happened to be nearby. As Ian Song's loyal fangirl, she immediately shot back when she heard someone claim Senior Brother Huang wasn't a match for Benson Han.
Benson Han's face froze. He glared angrily at Winnie Shentu. "Hey, watch your mouth! What makes you think I'm worse than that Huang Liang?"
Winnie Shentu gave him a look of utter disdain and shook her head. "With a face like yours, you think you could beat Senior Brother Huang? Shameless!"
Hearing Winnie Shentu’s logic, Benson Han almost coughed up blood. What does being strong have to do with being handsome?
He suddenly realized this girl was probably just another brain-dead Leon Huang fangirl. No point arguing—everyone knows fangirls never play by the rules.
Seeing Benson Han completely speechless, Winnie Shentu flashed a smug grin, pumped her fist, and shouted toward the stage, "Go Leon! Sword or no sword, you’re still the coolest!"
Up on stage, Leon Huang heard her and couldn’t help but turn and shoot Winnie a friendly smile.
"Since you’re not even using your sword, I’ll let you take the first shot!" Jared Tu stood tall and proud, acting all generous.
"Alright then, I won’t hold back!"
Leon nodded, stepped forward—and in the blink of an eye, vanished from sight.
A split second later, he reappeared behind Jared Tu, palm raised for a sneak attack.
"Crap, I didn’t think this kid was THAT fast!"
Jared spun around and threw a punch in panic, but only hit thin air.
