You think you can use that same boxing technique on me? What a joke!
Grant Yuan glared at Evan Lin’s movements and let out a wild, mocking roar.
His fist was already inches from Evan’s face.
But Evan just calmly raised his fist and unleashed his boxing technique, slow and steady.
Crack!
Crack!
Crack!
Every move Evan made echoed with a crisp, ringing crack.
And with each move, the sound grew louder and sharper.
Then, five more cracks rang out in rapid succession!
Nine cracks in a row—when the ninth one hit...
Everyone present felt as if thunder exploded right beside their ears!
In the stands, countless people were caught off guard and knocked to the ground by the ninth crack!
Everyone’s face changed dramatically.
What was that sound?!
Lena Xu felt a chill. She glanced around and saw Ethan Xu and Major General Gavin Yue suddenly stand up, their eyes locked on the ring below!
Grant Yuan had already thrown his punch, but suddenly felt Evan’s aura soar—and even that slim fist now seemed as solid as a giant boulder!
Boom!
Evan Lin’s fist collided with Grant Yuan’s in midair with a violent crash.
In that instant, it was as if mountains collapsed and the floor shattered beneath their feet. Everyone watched as a figure was blasted upward toward the ceiling!
That person was none other than Grant Yuan!
Grant’s muscles bulged grotesquely under Evan’s punch, his clothes exploding into shreds as he shot toward the Drill Grounds’ ceiling at breakneck speed.
At the very top was the ceiling.
Moments later, a loud bang echoed as dust billowed from the ceiling—and Grant Yuan didn’t fall back down. When everyone looked closer, they realized Grant’s entire body was jammed deep into the ceiling, wedged in tight by the surrounding stone!
Brother Yuan!
Lena Xu’s face went white as she screamed in shock.
Colonel Sean Chen was so stunned his jaw nearly hit the floor, his mouth bone-dry.
Quick, someone help him!
Major General Gavin Yue snapped out of it, fury on his face as he shouted.
In an instant, the senior officers scrambled out of the room, urgently mobilizing soldiers to get Grant Yuan down from the ceiling.
Ethan Xu stood at the window, eyes wide, his whole body trembling. He stared at Grant Yuan, embedded deep in the ceiling, eyes shut and blood trickling from his mouth.
How is this possible?! How could this happen...
Ethan Xu muttered to himself, not even noticing his teacup slip from his hand and crash to the floor. He glanced back at the ring, at the calm teenager standing there, his heart in turmoil and his eyes wide, all his former certainty utterly shattered.
Deputy Commander Su was still in a daze. When he saw Gavin Yue storm out, he realized things were getting serious and hurried after him.
Surround the ring!
Gavin Yue strode downstairs, shouting the order.
Immediately, the soldiers in the stands jumped up and rushed toward the ring, forming a tight cordon around it.
They stared at Evan Lin on the platform, their eyes filled with awe.
This teenager had single-handedly blasted the Tiger Special Forces’ legendary instructor off the ring!
What kind of power is that?!
Who the hell are you? Do you even know where you are? You have no business stepping onto this ring!
Gavin Yue’s face was grim as he stepped out from the crowd.
He was absolutely furious.
Grant Yuan had come with Ethan Xu, and Gavin was responsible for Ethan’s safety. For years, Grant had always followed Ethan—but now, Grant had been publicly beaten!
Deep down, Gavin admired Evan’s strength and guts, but even more, he didn’t want Ethan Xu to get angry. If Ethan accused Evan of assaulting a soldier, that would be a major crime!
It would put this teenager right in the crosshairs, branded as an enemy of the military.
Honestly, Gavin didn’t want to see that happen.
He hadn’t liked Evan at first, but Gavin was a true soldier—what he valued most was talent. Surrounding Evan now was just for show, to let Ethan Xu know where he stood.
Why did you hurt my Brother Yuan?!
Lena Xu poked her head out from behind Gavin, her face flushed with anger. She pointed at Evan, then kept glancing up at the ceiling, where Grant Yuan was still stuck, her face full of worry.
He stepped up for his man, so I stepped up for mine. I hit him because I’m stronger.
You—!
Gavin just sighed inwardly. He saw Deputy Commander Su rushing over and barked, “Deputy Commander Su! He’s your man—talk to him!”
While everyone else scrambled to rescue Grant Yuan, the officers here were all wracking their brains.
Deputy Commander Su hurried to Evan’s side, forcing a bitter smile. “Master Lin, could you help us get Grant Yuan down first? We can talk about everything else later.”
Su Eldest Brother had already resolved to protect Evan no matter what—even if it meant calling Victor Su and cashing in Su family favors.
Favors were precious, and the Su family’s influence in the military had faded over the years, but no matter what, Su Eldest Brother refused to let Evan get hurt.
That’s easy. Evan nodded, flicked a stone up with his foot, caught it, and snapped it toward the ceiling with a flick of his finger.
The stone shot through the air and punched a hole straight through the ceiling.
A torrent of debris and the unconscious Grant Yuan tumbled down from above.
Everyone below ended up covered in dust—except for Evan and First Blade, who remained spotless, as if an invisible barrier kept all the debris away.
Cough, cough!
Lena Xu coughed, her hair and face covered in dust, then heard a loud thud and saw Grant Yuan drop from above.
She rushed over to check on him, but found Grant Yuan unconscious, eyes shut tight.
He’ll live.
Before she could question him, Evan spoke in a calm, indifferent tone.
Lena Xu was so angry she wanted to punch Evan right then and there!
But the moment she met Evan’s eyes, Lena Xu snapped back to reality. Only then did she realize: this was the monster who’d just sent Grant Yuan flying with a single punch!
