Evan Chu hadn’t really paid much attention to the Chaotic Qi Mass behind him, but the Silver Dragon definitely had. He knew just how dangerous that thing was, so now he was staring at Evan with a face full of nervous tension.
"Silver Dragon, why are you making that face? Was I inside for too long? About how much time has passed?" Evan asked.
"Young Lord, that Chaotic Qi Mass is following right behind you—what the heck is going on?" The Silver Dragon ignored Evan’s question and asked his own instead.
Evan’s body was already a Chaos Body, and now he’d basically merged with the Chaotic Qi Mass itself—so of course he hadn’t noticed anything unusual behind him. Only when the Silver Dragon mentioned it did he turn around, and when he saw it, he was just as shocked.
This was honestly the last thing he’d expected. Suddenly struck by a wild idea, Evan dove straight into the Timewheel Bracelet, leaving its entrance open to see if the Chaotic Qi Mass would follow him inside.
Sure enough, just as he’d hoped, the powerful Chaotic Qi Mass flowed right into the Timewheel Bracelet after him. Evan was so happy he almost shouted out loud—he’d managed to solve his biggest headache without even realizing it, and honestly, nobody would ever believe it if he told them.
After inspecting the Chaotic Qi Mass closely, Evan grinned and said, "This is your home from now on. Remember—don’t hurt anyone in here, or I won’t be so nice to you!"
As soon as he said that, Evan realized how childish it sounded. The Chaotic Qi Mass was supposed to be lifeless, so talking to it was basically pointless. But then something weird happened—the mass actually started to change, as if it really was alive, right in front of Evan.
Little by little, the huge mass shrank down and turned into a transparent little figure. It was nodding at Evan—meaning the Chaotic Qi Mass had actually developed spiritual wisdom and was about to become a full Chaos Artifact Spirit.
Evan’s expression kept shifting back and forth between shock and delight. Finally, he forced himself to calm down and said solemnly, "I never thought you’d actually gain sentience. From now on, this is your home—don’t worry, one day I’ll help you get a real body. That’s my promise to you!"
"Thank you, big brother!" came a childish voice from the mouth of the transparent little figure. Evan nearly stumbled—he never would’ve guessed the Chaotic Qi Mass had already formed an artifact spirit. It was downright bizarre.
It felt like all the luck in the world was piling up on him. Inside the Timewheel Bracelet he already had a God Crystal artifact spirit, and now a Chaos Artifact Spirit had appeared too. It was almost too good to be true—he even wanted to rush off and tell Elena and the others so they could share in the excitement.
But in the end, he held back. The spatial black hole still hadn’t been broken, and Roxanne Lin was still missing. Better to wait until all that was resolved before telling them. So he turned to the Chaos Artifact Spirit in front of him and said:
"Hide yourself here for now—don’t let anyone know you exist. I’ve got things to take care of, but once I’m done I’ll come find you. Don’t worry, I’ll treat you well! I know you’ve been trapped in that spatial black hole for ages and want to see the outside world. I promise I’ll make that happen for you."
The Chaos Artifact Spirit nodded over and over, then said, "Thank you, big brother. I’ll be waiting for you to come back! I know you need Chaos Qi—a single Chaos Pearl like this should let you absorb it several times!"
As soon as the Chaos Artifact Spirit finished speaking, a pure white, egg-sized pearl appeared in midair. Evan could instantly sense the immense Chaos Qi inside—it had to be something the Chaos Artifact Spirit had painstakingly nurtured, a true rarity.
Evan didn’t stand on ceremony—he reached out and grabbed the Chaos Pearl, then stored it away in his Coiling-Dragon Ring. "Thanks, Little Ling. That’s your name from now on! I have to leave for now, so take care of yourself. And remember, don’t harm anyone in here—they’re all my friends and family."
"Got it, big brother! You go ahead!" said the Chaos Artifact Spirit, then its body vanished and reformed into a Chaotic Qi Mass. But soon the mass began to spread out, eventually diffusing throughout the entire Timewheel Bracelet’s inner world—meaning there was now ambient Chaos Qi inside as well.
If Shadow found out, he’d probably be over the moon. Evan felt incredibly lucky to have gained another heaven-defying artifact spirit—he almost wanted to thank the Valley Master of Lost Gods Valley. If not for him, Evan never would’ve ended up inside the spatial black hole in the first place.
If that hadn’t happened, he never would’ve met the Chaos Artifact Spirit. Looking back, it all felt like destiny—maybe it was because he carried such an important mission.
Evan left the Timewheel Bracelet, and when he suddenly appeared, the Silver Dragon was momentarily stunned. But he figured Evan must have some kind of spatial artifact and didn’t dwell on it. What really caught his attention was the fate of the Chaotic Qi Mass.
"Young Lord, where did that Chaotic Qi Mass go? How did it disappear along with you all of a sudden?" the Silver Dragon asked, confused.
"It went where it was supposed to go. Don’t overthink it, Silver Dragon. Right now, cracking open this spatial black hole is still our top priority. By the way, how long was I inside the Chaotic Qi Mass?" Evan pressed again—this was what worried him most. If too much time had passed, he’d really lose it.
"About a hundred years, I think. Honestly, I thought you’d had another breakthrough. But the fact that you managed to get rid of the Chaotic Qi Mass is even more shocking than breaking through." said the Silver Dragon.
Evan couldn’t help blurting out, "Damn! A hundred years just flew by—there’s no time to waste! Silver Dragon, let’s go!"
The two of them sped toward the spot where they’d first cracked open the spatial black hole. Their return was just as swift. When they arrived, Evan told the Silver Dragon to stand far back, then used his Icefire Eyes to break through.
Every time Evan unleashed the Icefire Eyes, he could blast open two fist-sized holes. His Chaos Divine Power only let him use it twice. The higher his cultivation, the stronger the attack—but the energy cost scaled up too, so it wasn’t like he could use it more often just because he was stronger.
Evan did the math: if he had two full rounds of Chaos Divine Power, he could use Icefire Eyes five times, plus the first time for a total of six. That should be enough to break open the spatial black hole. In the past, he could shatter it outright and make it vanish without a trace, but now that wasn’t possible—and it was honestly a little frustrating.
Then Evan took out the Chaos Pearl Little Ling had given him. When the Silver Dragon saw it, he looked a bit lost—he had no idea what it was, but he could sense the powerful Chaos Qi inside. Unable to help himself, he asked, "Young Lord, what exactly is that thing in your hand? I can feel some serious energy coming off it."
