No Scolding, No Lesson Learned

As soon as Faye Gale arrived, she couldn't wait to go out and play, so she pulled Evan Yang along and went to find Elder Shaw.

"No, I can't. I need to meet with them soon and have no time to accompany you sightseeing," Elder Shaw replied.

"Elder Shaw, you don't have time, but I do—and so does he. Don't worry about it," Faye Gale said with a smile.

"How can I not worry?" Elder Shaw thought gloomily, but his face remained stern. "Miss, the higher-ups told me when we left that I have to watch over you and not let you run around everywhere."

"I'm not running around everywhere, just playing here. Besides, he's watching me—I'll be fine," Faye Gale smiled, then gave Evan Yang a glare, signaling him to help her out.

Evan Yang didn't want to get dragged into things later, so he spoke up: "Elder Shaw, just go ahead. I'll keep an eye on her for you."

"You?" Elder Shaw pondered for a moment, while Faye Gale kept pestering him.

In the end, Elder Shaw couldn't resist Faye Gale's persuasion—besides, it would be hard to stop her anyway. So he sighed helplessly, "Alright, but remember, you must be back within ten hours."

"No problem," Faye Gale said with a smile, then dragged Evan Yang away.

Elder Shaw was left sighing helplessly, "Why did the Palace Lord even let her out?"

"Come on, let's go check it out," Faye Gale said with a smile, and she and Evan Yang quickly headed toward the crowd.

They saw that both sides of the road were packed with people, while members of various families and sects walked down the center.

"Why have so many families and sects suddenly shown up?" Evan Yang scanned the scene and wondered to himself.

Unable to contain her curiosity, Faye Gale asked a nearby person, "Excuse me, brother, what's going on? Why are there so many people here?"

"You don't know?" The man looked at Faye Gale as if she were some kind of oddity.

"I just came out of seclusion," Faye Gale replied smoothly.

Hearing that Faye Gale had just exited seclusion, the man nodded. "Ah, that explains it. No wonder you don't know about this."

"What is it?" Faye Gale asked curiously.

"I heard someone is challenging the Alchemy Sacred Mountain. All these families, sects, and even some people from the Three Palaces are here to participate. Some are even acting as judges," the man explained.

"A challenge? Aren't they talking about the Fiend Realm?" Faye Gale wondered to herself. Evan Yang also felt puzzled, but he knew these ordinary people wouldn't know about the Fiend Realm; at most, they'd think some alchemists were challenging the Alchemy Sacred Mountain.

"Didn't expect it to be so lively," Faye Gale said with a smile.

Evan Yang hadn't expected so many people either, especially seeing several familiar faces from the Fenn family—like Third Young Master Fenn and Second Young Master Fenn. But even if he stood out now, they wouldn't recognize him, and their cultivation was nothing to fear in his eyes.

"That's the Fifth Squad Captain from the Fenn family." Evan Yang spotted the person who once pushed him into Dead Lake and sneered inwardly. If he used to worry about that man's strength, now Evan had nothing to fear—Fenn Yuesong's aura showed only mid-Mist Realm.

"I thought it was just a regular duel, but it's actually pretty lively. If I'd known, Fiend Palace should've sent more people—can't let the Human World outshine us in momentum," Faye Gale commented, clicking her tongue.

The people nearby looked confused, so Evan Yang quickly pulled her aside, saying, "They don't know we're from the Fiend Realm. Hardly anyone in the Human World knows about the Fiend Realm."

"So that's it. No wonder they keep looking at me weird," Faye Gale laughed.

"Alright, if there's nothing else, let's go check out somewhere else," Evan Yang suggested.

"This place is more lively. Going somewhere else wouldn't be as fun," Faye Gale said, smiling at the crowd.

"Lively or not, it's got nothing to do with you. Besides, these are all big-name families in the Human World. If you provoke them, it'll be a headache," Evan Yang sighed.

"You think I'd provoke them? Kid, you're way too cautious," Faye Gale said, laughing.

"It's not about being cautious or not. The Human World is more complicated than the Fiend Realm. Unlike the Fiend Realm, which only has Fiend Palace and all other clans are wary, here there are plenty of powerful families," Evan Yang replied.

"You sound like you know the Human World pretty well. How do you know all this? Who told you?" Faye Gale laughed.

"I just heard about it," Evan Yang replied, not wanting to say more. If she kept pressing, he might end up being nagged every day.

Faye Gale was about to ask more when one of Mason Liu's lackeys walked over and said to her, "Our young master would like to invite you to a nice place in the Human World."

"Your young master? Tell him I'm not interested," Faye Gale said coldly.

Evan Yang found it strange. Mason Liu clearly knew Faye Gale hated him, yet he still sent someone to invite her. Wasn't he just asking for trouble?

The lackey didn't give up and kept standing there, saying, "Miss, the young master said if I don't invite you, I shouldn't bother going back."

"Then don't go back," Faye Gale replied bluntly, then led Evan Yang away.

The lackey returned to the guesthouse looking dejected, found Mason Liu, and reported the situation to him.

After hearing this, Mason Liu didn't get angry but instead laughed, "I knew it would be like this. It's fine. From now on, go and bother them every half hour. I want to see if she'll come or not."

"What if she runs off?" the lackey asked.

"Elder Shaw already said they must return within ten hours. She won't go far. As long as they're in this city, we can find them. Bring a few more people so you don't have to run around so much," Mason Liu replied.

The lackey really admired Mason Liu's composure, but he was more worried about getting scolded himself.

Faye Gale and Evan Yang had no idea about any of this. The two wandered around the city, but after half an hour, another lackey from Mason Liu's group showed up and said the same thing.

But Faye Gale sent him packing again. Yet, after another half hour, they showed up again, making Faye Gale, who was in a good mood, feel like storming into the guesthouse to teach Mason Liu a lesson.

This went on for five hours, ten times in total. No matter how good her mood was, Faye Gale's patience was ruined by Mason Liu, and she finally snapped, "Go back and tell your young master, if he keeps messing around, I'll break his legs right now! Let him stay in the Human World and never go back!"

The lackey stared at Faye Gale in shock, seeing her expression, and she continued, "Don't think I won't do it. If I can't break his legs, I'll just kill him and hide out in the Human World. Let's see if your Liu Clan can find me."

Intimidated by Faye Gale's forceful words, the lackey hurried back to report everything to Mason Liu.

At this point, Mason Liu couldn't stay calm anymore. He slammed the table and growled, "Damn it, I gave her face and she didn't appreciate it—and now she wants to kill me!"

"Young master, maybe we should let it go. She might really do it, especially since we're in the Human World," the lackey said worriedly.

Mason Liu walked back and forth a few times before saying, "Keep following them. If they ever go to an inn or restaurant, report to me immediately."

"Yes, sir," the lackey replied quickly and headed out.

Mason Liu grumbled, "If you won't accept my invitation, I can always go find you myself."

Meanwhile, Evan Yang and Faye Gale finally enjoyed a quiet hour, calming down after all the harassment.

"The Liu Clan is truly shameless, still trying to bother me. If I hadn't given them a harsh warning, they'd keep pestering us," Faye Gale said angrily.

"Mason Liu must like you. Why else would he risk offending you just to invite you over again and again?" Evan Yang teased, grinning.

"Are you looking for a slap too?" Faye Gale glared at him.

"Otherwise, why would he keep inviting you, even after knowing you hate him? And the way he looks at you isn't simple," Evan Yang laughed.

"You don't need to say it. Just don't bring it up again. Next time he looks at me, I'll gouge his eyes out," Faye Gale said coldly.

"Then the Liu Clan will definitely come after you!" Evan Yang said helplessly, smiling.

"No big deal. I'll just hide out in the Human World. With so many planets here, it's easy to find a place to disappear," Faye Gale laughed.

"You really know how to think ahead," Evan Yang said, laughing.

"I'm tired. Let's get something to eat. I wonder what Human World food tastes like," Faye Gale said excitedly.

Evan Yang laughed. He hadn't eaten Human World food in a long time, so he smiled and said, "Let's go, my treat."

"Oh? Sounds good," Faye Gale replied, smiling.

So Evan Yang picked a large restaurant and asked for a private room by the window. The scenery outside was visible, but outsiders couldn't see in.

"The Human World is so much better—even the food is high-end, and the menu is so rich," Faye Gale laughed.

"What would you two like?" The waiter asked with a smile, not knowing what Faye Gale was saying.

Evan Yang let Faye Gale choose whatever she wanted. She picked up the menu, not knowing which dish was good, so she ordered one of everything—over a hundred dishes.

But for Evan Yang, this was nothing. He'd earned plenty from his wine business.

Even the waiter was shocked by Faye Gale's order, and asked, "Are you sure you two want this much?"

"That's right, hurry up and bring the dishes," Faye Gale said with a smile.

After confirming, the waiter quickly left. Evan Yang laughed, "You probably scared him."

"I just ordered a lot; doesn't mean I plan to eat it all. I just want to taste a little of everything," Faye Gale said, laughing.

"You're ruthless," Evan Yang said, admiring her.

"Alright, enough talking. Bring out your good wine. The stuff here definitely can't compare to yours," Faye Gale said with a smile.

"I think so too," Evan Yang knew his wine wasn't something you could find just anywhere, so he smiled and took out a few bottles he'd prepared.

Soon, the dishes and wine were served. Faye Gale tasted the food and found it delicious, but the wine was even better.

"Human World food is really good, but your wine is even better," Faye Gale praised.

"If you want more, just say so. I have plenty," Evan Yang laughed.

"You really are generous," Faye Gale said, smiling.

"Of course. If you want to eat or drink, just ask," Evan Yang replied.

"Alright, then I'll take you up on that," Faye Gale said, laughing.

The two enjoyed their meal, chatting and laughing. The atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant.

After a while, Evan Yang looked out the window and noticed a group of people approaching the restaurant. Among them was Mason Liu.

"Looks like Mason Liu is here. He just can't give up," Evan Yang said, shaking his head.
