It Depends on the Person
Luna Lian is a strong girl.
She looked haggard for a few days, but gradually recovered and threw herself into training. Her results actually improved day by day.
Adrian, on the other hand, was getting worse every day, and Divine Lord Tanya Quinn had already scolded him in public several times.
Luckily, there’s no elimination system right now—otherwise, he’d have been kicked out ages ago…
After a few more days, the Celestial Palace hosted a celebration.
Second Prince Victor Xiao was marrying Jenna Summers as a consort.
It wasn’t a huge deal, so it was perfect for the younger generation to attend.
So, the juniors from the Lumina Realm and Southern Realm all got word from home to go attend. The elders wouldn’t be showing up.
Ryan Lu had matured a lot over the past few years and was really starting to look like the big brother.
He told Lucy Luan that he’d represent the Lu clan and deliver the wedding gift, so she and Luna Lian didn’t need to go.
Lucy Luan was more than happy to oblige.
She really didn't want to go to Jenna Summers's wedding.
But in the end, she went anyway.
Because Mia Quinn kept whining, saying her family told her she had to go, and begged Lucy to go with her.
Mia had a grudge against Jenna, and she was still so young. Lucy didn’t feel safe letting her go alone, so she agreed. She told Ryan Lu to stay at the Palace Guard Barracks with Luna Lian, and said she’d go instead.
"I'm worried if you go, someone will try to cause trouble for you," Ryan Lu frowned.
"It's their wedding day—who has time to bother me?" Lucy said. "Besides, His Majesty the Celestial Emperor, Fifth Highness, and Adrian will all be there!"
Ryan Lu agonized for ages: "Let me go instead!"
"You want to go? Are you going to stick with Mia the whole time?" Lucy asked.
"Men and women sit separately! How am I supposed to keep her company?"
"Why don't you transform into a girl and let me dress you up?" Mia Quinn said with a laugh.
"Cut it out!" Ryan Lu glared at her. "Or... how about we all go together?"
"It's just a consort! Isn't two or three from the same family too many?" Lucy said. "Don't worry, it'll be fine!"
"Alright, I'll talk to Adrian and have him watch over you," Ryan Lu said.
Lucy nodded.
Mia Quinn patted his shoulder. "You're such a good brother!"
"Go on, go on!" Ryan Lu swatted her hand away. "No respect for your elders!"
"You're only a few hundred years older than me! What's with the attitude?"
"I'm only an hour older than you, but that still makes me the elder!" Ryan said. "When you see me, you should show proper respect and call me brother! Got it?"
"Oh really?" Mia Quinn smirked. "I'm about to be promoted to full commander, and you're still just a vice commander! Soon enough, who'll be showing respect to whom?"
Ryan Lu turned and walked away, frustrated.
That little girl was about to outrank him in the Joint Army; he had to work harder to catch up...
Lucy, Mia Quinn, Sean Shaw, and Adrian Drake went together to the Celestial Palace.
The wedding ceremony was held at Second Prince Victor Xiao’s Reflecting Waters Palace.
Bright red lanterns hung high, double happiness characters everywhere, and the road was lined with red cloud-like magical wedding flowers. The attendants wore festive uniforms, creating a lively, joyful atmosphere.
"So extravagant!" Lucy said in surprise. "Sean, does your Celestial Palace always go this all-out for a consort’s wedding?"
Sean Shaw replied, "It depends on the person. This is even grander than when he married his main wife."
Lucy raised an eyebrow. "So Second Prince Victor Xiao is really making a big deal out of Jenna Summers?"
