The View Is Excellent
He paused, then said each word clearly: "However, if you fail to finish within ten days, the President will have to record a major demerit for you!"
Grace took a deep breath, putting on a frustrated look as if her cunning plan had failed.
Leo Bo saw this and smirked mischievously, saying, "Half a day has already passed! You have nine and a half days left! What are you waiting for?"
Grace could only turn away helplessly and leave.
"Grace!" Bobby called out to her. "I'll go with you."
"Bobby!" Leo Bo interjected. "You can't go."
"Why not?"
"There's a saying—when Heaven is about to entrust someone with a great mission, it must first toughen their spirit and body." Leo Bo declared, sounding righteous.
Grace is exceptionally gifted—she's destined to be the pillar of our Blue Moon Spirit Alliance!
This is just the Alliance testing her!
Since it's a test, of course it has to be challenging. If you help her out, how is that a test?"
"That's nonsense! You're just deliberately making things hard for her!" Bobby retorted angrily.
Leo Bo chuckled, "Come on, Bobby, even Grace herself isn't complaining. Why are you so worked up? You're just a eunuch... or do you have feelings for her?"
"You..." Bobby's eyes flickered with embarrassment, his fists clenched tightly.
"What, you? You damn eunuch! Just talking to you brings me bad luck! Get lost!" Leo Bo snapped at him.
The veins on Bobby's forehead bulged. He wanted to punch Leo Bo, but feared it would only make things worse for Grace, so he forced himself to hold back.
Grace glanced at Leo Bo, then turned and walked away.
Sophie Sun shot Leo Bo a look, signaling him to keep an eye on Grace and make sure she didn't pull any tricks.
If those Black Ginseng really died, she wouldn't be able to explain herself to the higher-ups.
Leo Bo nodded and followed after Grace.
Grace returned to the Black Ginseng fields, shouldered her hoe, and headed up the mountain.
Leo Bo couldn't help but feel a surge of smug satisfaction.
So what if she's the heiress of the Zhu Estate?
So what if she has the Celestial Five-Element Root?
Isn't she still being bossed around like a slave by me?
The more he thought about it, the more pleased he became, even humming a tune, looking every bit the petty villain.
Suddenly, Grace stopped and turned to ask, "Leo Bo, why are you following me?"
"I'm here to supervise you, so you don't slack off," Leo Bo replied. "I don't want you getting a major demerit, you know?"
"Is that so?" Grace nodded and kept walking.
She walked all the way to the very top of the mountain.
Then, she stood under the Weedbane Tree at the very top and surveyed the surroundings.
"Grace, what are you doing standing there? Get to work!"
Grace gave him a slight smile and said, "Come here."
That smile—stunningly beautiful, absolutely breathtaking.
Leo Bo may see her as an enemy, but even he was momentarily dazzled and walked right up to her.
"How's the view from here?" Grace asked.
"The view?" Leo Bo looked around, puzzled. "It's great! Why?"
"From here, you can see both terraced hills clearly. Now, I'm going to start plowing, and you can 'supervise' me right here, okay?"
"What do you mean?"
"It's nice and cool under the tree! I'm just worried you'll get sunburned."
Leo Bo sensed something was off and tried to leave.
But Grace grabbed him by the collar and struck his pressure point.
"What are you doing?" Leo Bo asked in a panic. "The President knows I came here with you. If you do anything to me, you'll definitely be held responsible!"
"Relax!" Grace said. "You're overthinking it. I know the Alliance rules very well—hurting a fellow member is a serious offense. Why would I risk myself for someone like you?"
