Return to the Yang Clan

2/27/2026

Palace Lord Nangong was frightened by Evan Yang's words. At this moment, she had no idea where Hannah Nangong had gone. No matter how she tried to explain, Evan's clone ignored her and continued to wait there for Hannah to reappear someday.

As for Evan himself, he was already traveling with Lora Luo and Sharla. Though he had left, he was still worried about Hannah Nangong's safety.

"Sister Hannah, I wonder where she went," Lora Luo said with concern.

"I don't know what happened, but I hope she's alright. Otherwise, that Palace Lord Nangong is dead for sure," Evan said.

Lora Luo and Sharla understood Evan's mood; they were both worried about Hannah Nangong's whereabouts.

With little time left, Evan could only let his clone stay here, while his true self had to hurry to the Yang Clan and prepare for the tournament. He collected himself, had Lora Luo and Sharla enter his tower artifact, and went to the departure point, where he saw people from Ethereal Sanctuary guarding the teleportation array.

Evan flashed by in an instant, moving so fast that by the time those people reacted, he was already gone. The Emperor-level overseers were shocked, feeling that Evan had become even more terrifying.

"Too scary," one Emperor said.

The other Emperors were also frightened by Evan. If he used such speed against them, they might not even have time to react before being killed.

Meanwhile, Evan was already on his way to the Yang Clan.

Emperor Yao was shocked to receive news that Evan had left. "Damn it, he actually escaped!"

"He left?" Standing behind Emperor Yao was none other than Immortal Lord Lin. He looked much the same as before, but his strength was now different.

"Yeah, he left. Damn it," Emperor Yao replied.

"I'll find him and tear him apart," Immortal Lord Lin said with a cold laugh.

"You've just fused with your new body and it's not stable yet. Be careful controlling your power. If it gets unstable, you could be devoured—even lose your consciousness," Emperor Yao warned.

Immortal Lord Lin nodded. "Got it. Don't worry, I'll cherish this body."

"Go on," Emperor Yao nodded, letting Immortal Lord Lin leave. He also didn't want Evan to grow stronger and insisted Evan must be killed within a controllable range.

At this moment, Evan had arrived at Velvet Blossom House. He remembered that Terry Yang once left through here by finding the madam, so Evan sought her out. She was happily counting today's earnings.

Seeing a stranger enter, she asked curiously, "Are you here for the girls, sir? If so, go to the back; someone will arrange things for you."

"I'm looking for someone, but not them—I'm looking for you," Evan said.

The madam looked at Evan suspiciously. "Why are you looking for me?"

Evan smiled. "Take me to the Yang Clan." "To the Yang Clan? Are you kidding? I don't know you. Get out of here and stop bothering my business, or I'll have someone throw you out," the madam said.

"I know this place can lead to the Yang Clan, but it needs a special method to activate, right?" Evan smiled.

"Who exactly are you?" Hearing Evan mention the Yang Clan entrance, the madam became suspicious.

"Evan Yang," Evan replied.

"What? You're Evan Yang?" The madam was shocked.

"That's right. It's me. Now can you take me?" Evan said.

The madam paused, then sneered. "Anyone can claim to be Evan Yang. Am I supposed to take every impostor there? Save your energy and leave." But inwardly, she scoffed, "The First Young Master already ordered me. Let's see how you get in now."

Evan hadn't expected the madam to pull this trick, but seeing she wouldn't cooperate, he smiled. "If that's how it is, I'll just take you myself." With that, he reached out to grab her.

The madam was shocked. "How dare you lay a hand on me!" She immediately tried to fight back against Evan.

With a quick turn, Evan easily neutralized her counterattack, then grabbed the madam, sealed her strength, and in a flash, carried her out of Velvet Blossom House.

"Damn it, do you know who I am? How dare you treat me like this!" the madam yelled, realizing she couldn't move at all.

"I know you're with the Yang Clan. I have no choice but to do this—you know I need this path to return to the clan," Evan said.

"Don't even think about it," the madam snorted, seeing Evan bring her to the mountaintop where the Yang Clan entrance was.

"I'll give you a quarter-hour to decide. If you don't open it, you'll stay like this forever. I can even seal your voice—you'll be worse off than a cripple," Evan said.

The madam realized she truly couldn't move a muscle—other than speaking, she couldn't do anything at all.

Evan stood to the side, waiting for the madam to regret her choice. The madam, meanwhile, was furious—how had she gotten mixed up with someone like this? But after thinking it over, she realized this was the Yang family's business and not hers. She couldn't help but relent. "Fine, I agree." "That's better. Go ahead," Evan said, unlocking part of her strength and smiling.

The madam glanced at Evan, then moved her hands and activated the entrance. After a while, the two of them appeared on Yang Clan territory.

Seeing the familiar scenery, Evan smiled. "Thanks." With that, he fully released the madam and walked away.

Watching Evan's departing back, the madam shivered. "This kid is terrifying—the Second Young Master's son!"

Thinking of this, the madam refused to let things rest and hurried off to find Terry Yang.

At that moment, Terry was with his parents, waiting for the final moment to arrive.

"Why are you here?" Terry asked curiously when he saw the madam.

"I have something to report," the madam said.

"Oh? Come in," Terry led her inside. His father and mother were there too. They all knew the madam's identity and were curious about her arrival.

"First Young Master. First Madam," the madam greeted them one by one.

"Alright, what's the matter?" Terry's father asked.

"Evan Yang has returned, and..." the madam said.

"He's back?" Terry asked in surprise.

Terry's parents exchanged a glance, then pressed the madam for details. When they heard Evan had easily subdued a fourth-tier Emperor, they were stunned.

"What's his strength now?" Terry asked suspiciously.

"Immortal Lord level, but in real battle, he's even more terrifying than a fifth-tier Emperor," the madam replied.

Terry sneered. "Fifth tier? Even better. Watch how I defeat him."

"Young Master Tian, don't underestimate him," the madam warned.

"What do you mean? Are you saying I'm weaker than him?" Terry said, clearly displeased.

The madam shook her head helplessly. "That's not what I meant."

"Then what do you mean?" Terry said, annoyed.

"Tian, watch your tone," Terry's father frowned. He then dismissed the madam. After she left, Terry's father said, "Evan Yang has become even more terrifying after leaving. Liam truly has a remarkable son."

"Dad, what do you mean? Do you also think Evan Yang is impressive?" Terry said, displeased.

"That's not what I meant. You can't underestimate him. At Immortal Lord strength, he can already contend with Emperors. No matter who he is, that kind of talent is rare in the Immortal Realm. Unfortunately, he can't be allowed to exist," Terry's father said.

Hearing his father praise Evan Yang, Terry felt unhappy and replied sourly, "I'm going to cultivate." With that, he left.

Terry's mother said, "How can you comment on Evan Yang like that in front of him?"

"I must be confused. But this time, Evan's matter must be resolved. He absolutely can't be allowed to win first place, and Terry must defeat him," Terry's father said.

"Don't worry. Don't forget, the Ling Clan has produced a genius this time whose strength rivals Terry's," Terry's mother said with a cold smile.

"You mean your nephew?" Terry's father asked.

"That's right. My nephew is extremely talented—dual attributes, and his strength is fierce. I saw it myself—at eighth-tier Immortal Lord, he could defeat Emperors," Terry's mother said.

"So who do you think is stronger, Terry or him?" Terry's father asked curiously.

"Hard to say. I haven't seen him in a long time, but my father says he's very strong. We'll know soon enough. Anyway, Evan Yang can't possibly win," Terry's mother said with a smile.

"Good. No matter what, Evan Yang can't win. Otherwise, father will only pay attention to him," Terry's father said.

Terry's mother nodded.

They had no idea that Liam Yang had already acknowledged Evan Yang and was nurturing him as a genius, though they didn't know it yet.

When Liam heard Evan had returned, he immediately ordered Butler Li to bring Evan to him.

At that moment, Evan was in a hall, meeting Old Drunkard and Min Yang.

"Kid, I thought you wouldn't dare come back," Old Drunkard laughed.

"Third Brother, how can you say that? My nephew isn't someone who fears anything," Min Yang said with a smile.

Evan smiled. "Sorry to keep you waiting."

"No problem, as long as you're back. We're waiting for you to shine," Old Drunkard laughed.

Just then, Liam walked in from the side. "What are you all talking about? You seem so happy."

Old Drunkard and Min Yang fell silent when they saw Liam. In their hearts, there were still things they hadn't let go of, and Liam held an air of authority. Evan, however, spoke naturally: "Nothing much."

"Oh? Really?" Liam asked curiously.

"Yes, Clan Leader Yang," Evan nodded.

Hearing Evan call him 'Clan Leader' instead of 'Grandfather,' Liam paused for a moment. Though it hurt, he knew he had to keep up the act—only this way could Evan grow stronger.
