Carefree Haven in the Grand Void

2/14/2026

Quinn Shepherd opened the right-hand door for the second time. Once again, the scene inside shifted—pitch black, nothing visible at all.

Suddenly, the darkness split open—a gigantic eye filled the entire room!

Quinn instantly slammed the door shut, heart pounding wildly. "Opening the rooms at the end of the Void Bridge is seriously nerve-wracking—every time, it’s enough to scare you half to death!"

He opened the door again; this time, inside was a spewing black hole. The sight made his skin crawl, and he hurriedly shut the door.

Quinn tried several more times before finally finding the room with a single lotus inside.

Fenix Greenwood Keane was listening intently, clearly being guided by someone beside him, saying, "Now: left two, right one, middle five, right three, middle one, right two, left four, middle seven..."

It sounded like some bizarre password. Quinn listened closely, memorizing every word, and couldn’t help but feel a chill—if this was the door sequence, then it really would be impossible to reach Carefree Haven without it!

Ordinary people who come here would just walk through a door, never even thinking to experiment with opening and closing them.

But anyone who steps inside will fall into the Creators’ trap—just like Flame-Venerable and Venerable Void, trapped and unable to escape. And even if they do get out, without knowing the door sequence, they’re still helpless.

What’s worse, the opening and closing must be repeated many times—constant trial and error. And every time you open a door, the space behind it could be unimaginably dangerous: the Heavenly Emperor’s harem, Tu Bo’s Netherworld hall, the Origin-Root Tree, and all sorts of deadly realms. One careless move, and the being behind the door might kill you on the spot!

Logan Cross didn’t suspect anything and stepped forward. Quinn Mu pushed open the door, and behind it was the Origin-World’s Origin-Root Tree. The divine beings guarding the Heaven Palace atop the tree immediately unleashed their divine arts and weapons, their shouts shaking the heavens.

Standing behind Logan, Quinn gave him a hard shove, sending him through the door with a laugh. "Brother Logan, you go back to the Origin-World first. I’ll come find you in a few days."

Logan stumbled forward, unable to resist, and tumbled into the Origin-World—right into a tide of divine warriors charging at him. His scalp tingled as he cursed, glanced back, and saw the portal already closed.

He had no choice but to grit his teeth and face the oncoming gods and demons. He thought, "This is a Heavenly Venerable’s territory—a Heaven Palace built in the Origin-World. If I kill these guardians, I’ll probably offend that Venerable... I’ve already offended Empress Yuanmu and Venerable Void, and I doubt Venerable Vast-Sky will let me off either. If I’ve already offended four of the Ten Heavenly Venerables, what’s one more?"

He gathered his yuan-qi, forming it into a divine saber, and charged the guardians of the Heaven Palace, striking with deadly force. "If I don’t kill my way out, there’s no way I’ll survive!"

"Sounds like Brother Logan just cursed me out."

Quinn Mu opened two more portals, then went to the right-hand house and opened its door once, before returning to the central house. He thought, "This guy’s managed to offend almost all the Ten Heavenly Venerables, and now he’s heard so many secrets. The only one left is me, Shepherd Heavenly Venerable... Well, now he’s offended me too. Hmph."

It wasn’t that he didn’t trust Logan Cross, but Carefree Haven’s location was too important. The fewer people who knew, the better—so he sent Logan away first.

Following Fenix Greenwood Keane’s instructions, Quinn carefully opened and closed the doors in sequence. After a long while, he finally finished, then returned to the central house and pulled open both doors.

Behind the doors, dazzling sunlight poured through, making him squint and raise a hand to shade his eyes. Only after his eyes adjusted did he lower his hand.

In front of him, dense forests stretched out—towering trees pierced the clouds, and in the sky, massive birds and beasts soared. A six-winged great bird swept past a graceful divine mountain.

The divine mountains rose and fell, one after another, each at a different height. White clouds drifted between them like a sea.

The six-winged birds glided over the peaks and dove into the cloud sea, from which high, resonant cries echoed upward.

Quinn stepped through the doorway and took a long, deep breath. The air here was incredibly fresh, with a faint hint of mist.

He heard the sound of water and turned, seeing behind him the three little houses. The houses stood at the summit of a mountain at the end of the Void Bridge; beside them, a waterfall cascaded from the cliff, crashing onto a giant boulder jutting from the mountainside, splitting into two streams that poured down in shimmering arcs.

Looking down, Quinn saw two rainbows hanging halfway up the mountain.

"I clearly walked into the central house, yet now I’ve come out into a place like this. How strange."

He couldn’t help but marvel at the Creators’ wonders—being able to visualize such miraculous houses was no less impressive than Celestial Venerable Yue’s spatial arts!

“Is this Carefree Haven?”

“Is this Carefree Haven?” Quinn mused aloud, gazing around.

He sensed the world was saturated with incredibly dense divine sense—this was a world shaped by the Creators’ power. Yet unlike the Grand Void Land, it hadn’t been devastated; there was no eerie horror here, only profound peace.

With a thought, a cup of fine wine appeared in Quinn’s hand.

He drank the wine and tossed the cup; it vanished into thin air.

“This place is so strange. I didn’t even use my Grand-Luo Supreme Divine Sense, nor much divine sense at all—just a whim, and the wine appeared. It’s unbelievable!”

Quinn couldn’t help but marvel. He thought, "Do people living here never need to work? Just a thought brings fine food and wine, palaces and towers? If that’s true, then this really is a Carefree Haven!"

Still, to truly conjure anything with a thought requires deep mastery of divine sense.

Quinn’s divine sense was exceptionally strong—one thought could mobilize power far beyond ordinary practitioners.

He shut the house door behind him and sat atop the waterfall, muttering, "Brother told me to wait here—my parents are coming soon. I’ll stay put and won’t let curiosity get the better of me!"

He tried to meditate, sitting as calmly as an old monk, but a thought suddenly surfaced: "If everything is so perfect here, why did Mother warn me that Carefree Haven is extremely dangerous? Why did Scholar Celestial Teacher Elena Cloud refuse to tell me where it was, or let me return?"

"Just now Fenix said he fights battles every day here, eating gods and demons all the time. Did Carefree Haven go to war with the Creators of this world?"

"The Pioneer Emperor brought Cloud-Venerable’s star map. With Cloud-Venerable’s friendship with the Creators, they should’ve spared Carefree Haven, right? So why is there war?"

His mind swirled with questions, and soon he couldn’t meditate at all. Just then, thunderous footsteps rumbled up from below.

Quinn sprang to his feet. Suddenly, a gigantic head rose from beneath the waterfall—the giant’s face loomed over him, nostrils blasting air like twin hurricanes, whipping his clothes.

Quinn’s heart clenched. The giant’s brow bore a diamond-shaped crystal, standing upright like a vertical eye.

A Creator!

A Creator of such size must be unimaginably powerful!

"Mo-cha——"

The giant spoke—a voice like ten thousand thunderbolts exploded in Quinn’s ears, making them ring. The Creator’s face twisted in anger as he raised a hand, acres wide, to slap Quinn flat!

Quinn’s vertical demon eye opened in his brow. The giant saw it and instantly stopped, scrutinizing him. An overwhelming wave of divine sense flooded Quinn’s mind: "Whose child are you? How old? Why are you here?"

Quinn let out a sigh of relief, the goosebumps on his neck fading. He replied with divine sense, "I’m almost two years old. I wandered here by accident and saw three houses at the Void Bridge’s end, so I came to look. Senior, which clan do you belong to?"

"I am Shaw Chung of the Shaw Creator clan. I sensed something unusual here, so I came to investigate."

Shaw Chung’s divine sense rippled as he praised, "Your divine sense is remarkably strong—for someone not yet two years old, your achievement is greater than most adults. Who taught you?"

"My teacher is Shu Jun," Quinn replied honestly.

Inside the Taichu Primal Stone in Quinn’s third eye, Shu Jun’s big head bobbed with pride, his eyes dancing in their sockets. He chuckled, "Brat, calling me ‘teacher’—well, I won’t hold it against you. Just wait, once you drop my name, this Shaw Chung will be so scared he’ll piss himself and bow nonstop! I was one of the Three Kings in the ancient era!"

"Shu Jun?"

All three of Shaw Chung’s eyes showed confusion. His third eye, the Taichu God-Stone, could express emotion just like a real eye. He shook his head. "Never heard of him. But your divine sense is strong, so your teacher must be a person of note. This place is dangerous—full of evildoers. Come with me, I’ll take you somewhere safe."

He extended his palm, holding it flat atop the waterfall, beckoning Quinn to climb aboard.

Quinn hesitated, reluctant to go.

But with a pulse of Shaw Chung’s divine sense, Quinn was lifted into the air and set in his palm, unable to resist. He was stunned.

Shaw Chung’s divine sense was hundreds or thousands of times stronger than Quinn’s, binding him so tightly he couldn’t even move his yuan-qi.

Quinn’s divine sense wasn’t as strong as Heavenly Court’s foremost specialist Ian Shawking, but its quality was even higher.

But Shaw Chung’s divine sense was still vastly greater—and of even higher quality. The sheer power was terrifying!

Clearly, Shaw Chung was no ordinary Creator, but a top-tier Grand Void Creator.

"You’re only two—how can you run around alone? That Shu Jun is irresponsible, letting you wander where fiends might snatch you up. Many of those monsters have divine sense much stronger than yours."

A surge of light from Shaw Chung’s brow crystal conjured a colossal Jewel Incense Carriage out of thin air. He brought Quinn aboard, and nine dragons, each hundreds of miles long, hauled the carriage into the sky.

"If you run into those villains, you’re dead for sure."

With a wave, Shaw Chung made the sun set and stars spill out, forming a river of starlight. The nine dragons raced joyfully along the galactic river. "Those villains are utterly unreasonable—especially their leader, that bastard Ye Greenwood Keane. He’s ruthless and arrogant beyond measure."

Inside Quinn’s third eye, Shu Jun watched the carriage from the Taichu Primal Stone, feeling a chill. He urgently warned by divine sense, "Kid, be careful! This Creator’s strength isn’t much weaker than mine at my peak!"

Across the galactic river, Quinn gazed at the starlit void, his heart pounding as the carriage sped toward the unknown.
