Blasting the Ancestors

On the bridge, the Human Emperors of every era wore strange expressions. The Village Chief had told them that the Overlord Body was something he made up—a well-intentioned lie to push Quinn Shepherd, a mere Mortal Body, to strive harder. They’d believed him.

But now, Connor Hayes, the Human Emperor, was already at a disadvantage from the very first clash at the same cultivation realm, and after that, he was just getting beaten down. This wasn’t something a Mortal Body could achieve just by working harder!

Could a Mortal Body, not even a Spirit Body, really beat up a Human Emperor to this degree just through personal effort? Was that even possible?

So, even they had to wonder if the legendary Overlord Body might actually exist in this world after all.

On the bridge, Ethan Graves, the Human Emperor, shaped his yuanqi into a giant hand and raised a long, snow-white finger, poking at Connor Hayes as he floated downstream.

Connor Hayes lay spread-eagled, staring blankly at the sky, unmoving. After being poked twice, he sank under the water and then bobbed back up.

“Good disciple, have you conceded after being beaten up by your own grand-disciple?” Ethan Graves asked, barely holding back his laughter.

“Old man, stop poking me. Let me be quiet for a moment.”

Connor Hayes snapped, “I’m just stunned, not convinced! I just want to be quiet and figure out how I lost…”

Ethan Graves burst out laughing, gloating, “Still saying you aren’t convinced? You’re literally floating, aren’t you?”
