Annihilation

"Quickly clear the battlefield. Rest until dusk, then continue moving."

Joseph Qiao shouted. In the central forest, they had encountered a small enemy force. Joseph Qiao led the main troops to swiftly wipe out the enemy. Ahead lay the Central Pass, with the West Pass to the left and the East Pass to the right. The enemies they chased yesterday had likely already headed straight for the Central Pass. Joseph Qiao was still deep in thought.

If they went directly to the Central Pass, they could intercept the enemy’s reinforcements and soldiers coming from Grant Tribe and Win Territory. Right now, it was the busy planting season in the south, and the enemy needed a large labor force. The eastern front was the enemy’s main force, likely numbering no less than a hundred thousand. They should already be attacking the Zou Clan.

Returning to this crossroads again, Joseph Qiao felt a surge of emotion. In the woods farther to the right was where Edward Grant had fallen.

To the left was the pass long held by Simon Grant and Sophie Grant. Sophie had fought desperately for more than ten days, but in the end, the Central Pass was still lost.

Back at this place of defeat, Joseph Qiao’s expression was grave.

"I'll go over there."

Sebastian Zhao spoke. Phoenix Yu nodded.

"Don’t worry, Joseph. Sebastian and I will be fine over there. You and Nina—the siblings—go straight to the East Pass. At least, when the enemy attacks the Zou Clan, you’ll be able to do something."

Joseph Qiao was still thinking. No matter which direction they went, there were advantages. The only drawback was that if the enemy recovered and began to encircle them, things would become very unfavorable.
