If You Don’t Leave I’ll Drive You Out With a Stick
With the threat of withdrawal from the Third Prince and Ninth Prince, the First Prince had no choice but to agree to their terms.
Once the agreement was reached, the First Prince said, "Now that our armies are gathered, Third Brother, Ninth Brother, is it time to attack the Human Race?"
The Third Prince and Ninth Prince thought it over briefly, then agreed to the proposal. They decided to launch the offensive tomorrow.
In Blood River City, two women—one tall and one petite—stepped out of the teleportation array.
One was a woman in her early forties, plump but with a stern face that made people keep their distance. The other was a petite, delicate girl who looked about seventeen or eighteen.
"Sect-aunt, is Senior Sister Snow Yue really here?" the lively young girl asked excitedly.
At the mention of Snow Yue, Faye Mei’s face darkened. "She’s growing bolder by the day. Daring to defy the sect leader’s orders and come to the Blood River Battlefield—does she really think she can escape me just by coming here?"
The young girl’s face grew worried. "Sect-aunt, you won’t punish Senior Sister Snow Yue, will you?"
"Hmph. If she behaves herself, fine. If not, as her senior-aunt, I’ll have to teach her a lesson. Let’s go!" Faye Mei said, flicking her sleeve.
With that, Faye Mei strode toward the Commander’s Headquarters.
Soon, the two arrived at the Commander’s Headquarters.
"Who goes there?" the guard at the gate barked.
Faye Mei replied coolly, "I am Faye Mei of the Heavenly Melody Sect, senior-aunt to Madam Lei. Go report inside immediately."
The guard realized this was Madam Lei’s senior-aunt and didn’t dare be negligent. He hurried inside to report.
After returning from Ian Song’s place early that morning, Snow Yue had felt drained and spent most of the day sleeping. She had just gotten up when she heard the guards outside reporting to Madam Lei that someone claiming to be her senior-aunt, Faye Mei, was here to see her.
The moment she heard the name 'Faye Mei,' Snow Yue's expression changed dramatically. Crap, Aunt Mei must have come to drag me back. If I return to the Heavenly Melody Sect, I'll be forced to marry William Nangong.
Thinking this, memories of the illusion trial flashed through her mind, and she made up her mind—no matter what, she couldn’t go back with Aunt Mei.
Just then, Madam Lei came to her room. "Snow Yue, your Aunt Mei is here. Let’s go greet her together."
Hearing this, Snow Yue grew even more anxious. Suddenly, inspiration struck her. "Aunt Lei, you go ahead first. I just woke up and need to fix my appearance. Otherwise, Aunt Mei will scold me for sure."
Madam Lei smiled, "True, your Aunt Mei is the type who can't tolerate even a speck of dust in her eyes. I'll go greet her first. Hurry and get ready, then come out."
"Alright, I'll be quick," Snow Yue replied.
As Madam Lei's footsteps faded away, Snow Yue slipped out of her room, her figure darting toward the back door of the Commander’s Headquarters.
Soon after, Madam Lei led Faye Mei and the young disciple into the inner courtyard.
After sitting down, Madam Lei and Faye Mei exchanged a few polite words before Faye Mei asked, "Sister Su, where’s Snow Yue?"
Madam Lei replied, "Don’t worry, Senior Sister. That girl already knows you’re here and is fixing her appearance. I’m sure she’ll be here soon."
Faye Mei’s expression darkened slightly at Madam Lei’s words. "Sister Su, take me to her right now."
"Is there really any need to rush?" Madam Lei asked.
"Hmph, I’m worried she’ll run off as soon as she hears I’m here," Faye Mei snorted coldly.
"She wouldn’t, would she?" Madam Lei said, surprised.
"Let’s go check and see," Faye Mei said.
Seeing Faye Mei’s insistence, Madam Lei couldn’t argue and led her to Snow Yue’s room.
"She’s not here." Faye Mei pushed open the door—Snow Yue was nowhere to be seen. Faye Mei’s gaze immediately fixed on Madam Lei, her tone sharp: "Sister Su, you didn’t help Snow Yue escape on purpose, did you?"
"Senior Sister Mei, what are you saying? Why would I do that? I’ll send someone to look for her right away." Madam Lei felt a hint of annoyance at the accusation—she remembered how Faye Mei had always made things difficult for her back at the sect.
"No need. I’ll find her myself." Faye Mei waved her hand and vanished in a flash. She was a master of tracking, and Snow Yue’s aura still lingered in the air—she was confident she could catch up within half a quarter of an hour.
As evening approached, Ian Song was having dinner with Lynn Ning.
Suddenly, there was a rapid knock at the door.
Ian Song was just about to get up when Lynn Ning jumped to her feet first. "Brother Huang, I’ll go open the door."
Soon, Lynn Ning led Snow Yue into the room.
"Snow, have you eaten? If not, join us." Ian Song said with a smile.
"I’ll go get some bowls and chopsticks," Lynn Ning said.
"No, I couldn’t eat a thing." Snow Yue waved her hand, face anxious. "Leon Huang, you have to help me—my Aunt Mei, Faye Mei, tracked me all the way to Blood River City. She’s here to drag me back."
"Why does she want to drag you back?" Ian Song looked at Snow Yue in surprise, thinking to himself, She must have snuck out of the sect.
A flicker of embarrassment flashed in Snow Yue’s eyes, but she quickly grew more frantic. "Just help me! Aunt Mei is a tracking expert—she’ll find me soon. Please, help!"
"Alright, no problem." Ian Song replied calmly.
A little while later, Ian Song and Lynn Ning were still eating dinner at the table when a figure floated into the courtyard—it was Faye Mei.
Suddenly, Faye Mei frowned. Why did Snow Yue’s aura disappear when she got here?
Finally, her gaze landed on Ian Song and Lynn Ning. With a flicker, she appeared in the living room, looking down at them and demanding, "Has Snow Yue been here?"
Ian Song glanced at her calmly. "You barged in uninvited—don’t you think you should explain yourself?"
Faye Mei’s eyes flashed with disdain—a mere mid-Grandmaster dared question her. Her face grew even colder. "Don’t change the subject. Tell me, has Snow Yue been here or not?"
"She hasn’t been here." Ian Song said blandly, then picked up a piece of meat and put it in Lynn Ning’s bowl. "Lynn, don’t just eat vegetables—you need meat to grow strong."
"Thanks, Brother Huang!" Lynn Ning said happily.
Faye Mei saw the warm scene but felt her anger rising. She snapped, "Kid, I advise you to tell the truth. Have you seen Snow Yue or not?"
Ian Song shot her an annoyed look. "Eh? Why are you still here? Didn’t I already tell you she hasn’t been here? Leave now, and stop disturbing our meal."
[Sound effect: Faye Mei breathing heavily in anger.]
Faye Mei felt her anger surge. Her eyes flashed with cold light. "Kid, do you know who I am? How dare you be so rude to me?"
Ian Song shot her an annoyed look. "Rude? You barged into my house and started shouting at me. I’ve already been polite by not throwing you out. So now, get out—or I really will grab a stick and drive you out myself!"
