"Friend Di, these three are all from the Five Elements Universe. I've brought them up." The brown-robed cultivator was quite courteous, proactively cupping his fists as he spoke.
"Thank you, my friend," Joe Di quickly expressed his gratitude.
The brown-robed cultivator nodded, quickly departing as if unwilling to say another word to Joe Di. Clearly, he had realized that Joe Di wanted to ask him about settling down here.
Lynn Booker's voice transmission came again, "If you kill Zoe Belling, you can claim her cave residence in the Outer City. Cloudspire Sanctuary Number Eleven was Zoe Belling's."
Earlier, he had guessed that Joe Di killed Zoe Belling; now he was certain Joe Di had done so. If Joe Di dared to raid Lockway Prison, killing a minor steward was nothing.
"Friend Lynn, if you're willing, why not come to my sanctuary for a chat? I'm at Cloudspire Sanctuary Number Eleven." Joe Di didn't use a voice transmission; he looked directly at Lynn Booker and spoke frankly.
He had figured it out: Lynn Booker must have a grudge against Lyle Yew, but this guy also worried that Lyle Yew might target him, so he wanted Joe Di to take the lead.
Sure enough, when Lynn Booker heard Joe Di's words, his expression changed slightly. Then he laughed heartily, saying, "Friend Di, such boldness! In that case, I'll lead the way."
Joe Di laughed heartily, "Good! Now that's more like it. Otherwise, I really wouldn't have much to say to you."
Joe Di would never cooperate with someone who didn't even have the courage to show his face.
"Thank you, Friend Lora Shen." The three rescued cultivators had already come before Joe Di and his companions, cupping their fists in gratitude.
Lora Shen quickly returned the gesture, saying, "Lora Shen greets Grandmaster Gordon Bone, greets Shane Yun... Seniors, it was Brother Di who rescued you, and he rescued me as well. Brother Di, Grandmaster Gordon Bone's secular name is Gordon Bone."
Lora Shen didn't recognize the third person, but since they'd been captured and sent to Lockway Prison, she assumed this must be her senior.
Grandmaster Gordon Bone, Shane Yun, and the third person hurriedly cupped their fists to thank Joe Di. They didn't know Joe Di's background; his aura was concealed. Although their cultivation was not inferior to Joe Di's, they couldn't discern the source of his Dao laws.
"Your name is Ethan Ye?" Joe Di's gaze fell on the third person. To be honest, since entering Genesis Saint City, this was the first time he'd seen a cultivator at only the Unity Realm.
Lora Shen hadn't noticed Ethan Ye's cultivation, but Joe Di did—he was only at the Unity Realm, and not even at its peak. For a Unity Realm cultivator to be captured and sent to Lockway Prison by Zoe Belling was truly surprising.
"Yes, I am Ethan Ye." The disheveled cultivator stepped forward and cupped his fists to Joe Di again.
Joe Di frowned slightly. "Your cultivation isn't very high, is it? Why did Zoe Belling capture you? With your level, you shouldn't even be able to reach Genesis Saint City."
If Lockway Prison locked up even Unity Realm cultivators, wasn't its reputation a bit undeserved?
Ethan Ye sighed, "It's a long story. Zoe Belling captured me mainly because of my elder brother, Emperor Ye. They originally planned to use me as bait to lure my brother here..."
"Why is that?" Joe Di was extremely surprised. He'd heard that no one in the Five Elements Universe could match Lyle Yew—why would Lyle Yew need a hostage?
Ethan Ye replied calmly, "Because Lyle Yew knows that once my brother's Dao is perfected, he'll be completely crushed. So Lyle Yew goes to great lengths—even staying away from Genesis Saint City for years—just to kill my brother."
"I see now, you're Emperor Ye's younger brother? I've heard of you!" Lora Shen exclaimed in sudden realization, her voice excited and delighted.
Joe Di didn't ask further. He turned to Lynn Booker and said, "Friend Lynn, lead the way. We'll talk more after we find a place to settle down."
......
Zoe Belling's sanctuary sprawled across thousands of miles.
Outside, a Ninth-Rank Starry Sky Divine Array sealed the perimeter, surrounded by the aura of creation. Joe Di had never visited the Inner City of Genesis Saint City, but he was certain this must be one of the finest places in the Outer City.
Joe Di could easily break this Ninth-Rank Array. But he couldn't be bothered—he simply summoned the Azure Veil Blade. With just three strikes, he tore apart the foundation of the protective array.
Zoe Belling's array skills were decent—compared to other cultivators at her level. But to Joe Di, this protective array was worthless.
"Brother Qin, help me set up the protective array. Ethan Ye, Grandmaster Gordon Bone, Shane Yun, you and Lora Shen go establish your own sanctuaries. I have something to discuss with Friend Lynn." Joe Di had no mind to arrange the array himself—Lyle Yew was returning today, and his thoughts were on how to deal with him.
Grandmaster Gordon Bone immediately said, "My array skills are decent; let me help set up the protective array as well."
Joe Di nodded and led Lynn Booker directly into Zoe Belling's sanctuary.
Shane Yun stared in surprise at Quinn Moten and asked, "Friend Qin, are you Quinn Moten from the Light-Dark Universe?"
Quinn Moten sighed, knowing he'd have to explain himself once again.
......
Zoe Belling's sanctuary was not only luxurious and spacious, but also filled with divine energy and the aura of creation, its laws exceptionally clear. But such laws were inconsequential to Joe Di. He could refine worlds with the laws he forged himself—even in the Genesis Void. No matter how clear the laws elsewhere, they had no effect on him.
"Brother Di, such divine abilities! If I'm not mistaken, even Neil Payne wouldn't be your match." As soon as they sat down in the sanctuary, Lynn Booker spoke with deep admiration.
Joe Di waved his hand, "Friend Lynn, let's not beat around the bush. If I'm not mistaken, you have a deep grudge against Lyle Yew, don't you?"
"That's right. Unfortunately, compared to Lyle Yew, my strength is but a drop in the ocean—utterly insignificant. Neil Payne always thought he was on par with Lyle Yew, but in truth, his power isn't even a third of Lyle Yew's. Maybe I'm giving Neil Payne too much credit—it's just that I never saw his final move." Hearing Joe Di's words, Lynn Booker no longer concealed his feelings.

Joe Di felt a chill in his heart. He was sure he could kill Neil Payne, but if Neil Payne didn't even have a third of Lyle Yew's power, then he probably wasn't a match for Lyle Yew yet.
"Actually, by killing Zoe Belling, you did Neil Payne a huge favor. On the surface, Neil Payne is the Outer City manager, but in reality, Zoe Belling mostly answered to Lyle Yew—she was also Lyle Yew's woman. Neil Payne got a lot of artifact materials from Zoe Belling, but what Lyle Yew gained was far more than just materials." Lynn Booker continued.
Joe Di didn't care about these things. He waved his hand, "Friend Lynn, are you sure Lyle Yew is coming back today?"
Lynn Booker's expression grew serious. He nodded, "Yes. Now that I've come in with you, we're both in this together. If we don't deal with Lyle Yew, I won't be able to survive here either."
"Do you have any ideas?" Joe Di asked.
Lynn Booker said, "I suspect you haven't fully unleashed that technique of yours. If you do, and with my help, as long as we catch Lyle Yew off guard, we should be able to seriously injure him. Once we do that, we'll have a chance to establish ourselves here."
"You think you can ambush Lyle Yew?" Joe Di was a bit skeptical.
"Lyle Yew is extremely arrogant. When he returns, the first thing he'll do is barge into Zoe Belling's sanctuary—even if he knows there's an ambush waiting. In his eyes, everyone else is an ant, and that's his Dao. What we need to do now is immediately set up a series of killing arrays in Zoe Belling's sanctuary and then go all out against him."
Joe Di said calmly, "I plan to leave the Outer City of Genesis Saint City and intercept Lyle Yew in the Genesis Void."
"What?" Lynn Booker jumped up in shock. "Brother Di, I know you're strong, but I can tell you for sure—intercepting Lyle Yew in the void is suicide. There's not a shred of hope."
Joe Di stood up as well. "I don't know if it's suicide, but I have to go now. If you're willing, come with me and help. If not, I'll find someone else."
Let Lyle Yew come into the city to fight? Heh, Joe Di had never even considered it.
(That's all for today, friends. Good night!)
