The Extremely Arrogant Central Military Commission Special Commissioner

1/5/2026

Right then, Dragon King didn’t hesitate even for a second. Only one thought in his head: run for it—the power gap was massive. As he bolted, he suddenly flung the already half-dead Bat King forward as a human shield.

Bat King instantly became Dragon King’s meat shield—his whole body blew apart on the spot.

Just like that, three out of the Four Dharma Kings got wiped in seconds. Not just a bombshell for the World Dominion Society—this was a headline-shocker for all of China.

Everyone around sucked in a long breath, staring at Ryan—nobody expected him to be not just insanely strong, but this ruthless and decisive!

"Devil..." The Dragon King was stunned stupid. He stomped the ground and shot out dozens of li in a single leap, running for his life.

He sucked in a breath, totally freaked out by Ryan's move.

Dragon King wasn’t some random dude—he’d lived through countless wars in China. But getting crushed in someone else’s palm like this? First time ever.

"Trying to run? Dragon King, your three brothers are already dead—what makes you think you’ll get away?" Ryan Ling shouted, and in a flash, a blast of terrifying Golden Core qi slammed straight for his head.

"No way I’m dying here—hell no! Golden Dragon True Body, activate!" Dragon King hyped himself up, then bit down hard. Instantly, his whole body flared with golden light, and his human shape morphed into a real golden dragon. The dragon shot into the sky, dodged Ryan’s attack, and soared upward—this was his ultimate escape move. Seeing it live, everyone realized: this guy was no ordinary mortal. The Golden Dragon’s power wasn’t unbeatable, but right now it blew everyone’s mind—especially in Goldridge City, where folks were left totally gobsmacked. Scenes like this were straight out of myth; nobody here had ever seen anything like it.

A bunch of clueless people, seeing the divine dragon, just dropped to their knees. In China, ‘divine dragon’ is heavy—it’s the national totem, after all.

"Ryan, you absolutely can't let that monster get away! That manipulative freak has to die!" Guihai One-Blade shouted from behind. He didn’t spell it out, but Ryan knew perfectly well—the Dragon King's so-called Golden Dragon True Body was pure scam. He wasn't some divine dragon at all, just a snake demon that had cultivated for ages. Still, this snake’s cultivation was deep, and after years in the Imperial Capital, he’d absorbed a ton of true dragon qi. That’s how he could pull off this transformation now.

"Got it. That bastard dies today—even if he morphs into a Da Luo Golden Immortal, he’s still ending up in my Hell Furnace!" Ryan sneered coldly. The moment his words dropped, the Hell Furnace shot out, unleashing a torrent of Yellow-Spring Hellfire straight at the Dragon King.

The Dragon King was already panicking, his steps totally unsteady. And with his power nowhere near Ryan’s, the Yellow-Spring Hellfire instantly closed in and wrapped him up tight.

Seeing this, the Dragon King felt like his doomsday had finally arrived. But facing all those superstitious onlookers, he suddenly switched gears—bursting out with blinding golden light and yelling, "Ryan! You can't kill me! I'm China's sacred totem, a real dragon! If you kill me, Heaven will punish you!"

With those words, his dragon aura got way thicker!

All at once, tons of superstitious folks started looking at Ryan, and even more began whispering among themselves. Clearly, their reverence for the divine dragon was off the charts—even if the Dragon King really was guilty of monstrous crimes, just for that reason alone, he couldn’t be killed!

Seeing so many people starting to plead for him, the Dragon King gulped and quickly started shouting, "Ryan, I’m warning you—don’t get reckless! You’d better let me go. I’m absolutely off-limits, got it?"

Just then, as the Dragon King kept making excuses, a convoy came roaring in from the north—luxury cars flying the national flag, rolling up like they owned the place. A loudspeaker blared: "Central Military Commission Special Commissioner arriving! Cease all fighting immediately, or it will be treated as rebellion and treason!"

"Special Commissioner?" General Kenneth Li froze. As a regional commander, he knew exactly how heavy those words were—a Special Commissioner’s rank was basically the modern version of an imperial inspector. Nobody in their right mind would dare mess with one.

"Ryan, cool it for now. Let the Dragon King go—at least for the moment!" Kenneth said, watching as several officers in uniform strode over looking fierce. He immediately advised Ryan to back off; this wasn’t the time to tear things open. Besides, judging by their shoulder insignia, several of them held ranks as high as his own.

"Still not letting me go? What, you really want to rebel?" The Dragon King seemed to think his saviors had arrived—he instantly switched back to human form, shouting with excitement. All his earlier panic and despair vanished without a trace.

Ryan gritted his teeth. He knew these newcomers were bad news, but with the Central Military Commission backing them, even if he had every reason in the world, he couldn’t just go head-to-head with them right now.

Helpless, Ryan let go of the Dragon King—for now.

"Smart move, kid!" the Dragon King said, rushing over to the Special Commissioners and yelling, "Comrades, this guy killed three of my brothers! You have to stand up for me! He’s about to murder me in front of everyone—doesn’t the law mean anything anymore?"

"Dragon King, you’ve got some nerve! It was your World Dominion Society that started this mess—if Ryan hadn’t shown up, we’d all be dead by now!"

"Exactly! Don’t believe a word out of his mouth, Comrade Commissioner. We’re all heroes of the Anti-Japan Campaign—anyone who attacks us deserves to die! Somebody grab that old bastard already!"

"Damn right! If this guy doesn’t get punished, is there any justice left in China? We just got back from the Japanese frontlines and now we’re getting slaughtered—this is pure insanity! Even the gods would be pissed!"

...

Hearing the Dragon King whining, all of Ryan’s crew started shouting back—even Harvey “Million” Jin, General Kenneth Li, and Guihai One-Blade kept quiet. They all knew these so-called Special Commissioners were trouble. Deng Xiao was under house arrest, the missile corps and South Sea Fleet had been purged, and the next target was the Goldridge Military Region. Right now, the Dragon King wasn’t the real threat—these guys were about to unleash hell.

Finally, one of the so-called Special Commissioners spoke up: "Are you done? When you’re finished, maybe it’s my turn to say something? Heh, you people really think you’re some kind of Anti-Japan heroes? Shameless!"

"What did you say?" Harvey “Million” Jin was the first to lose his cool, baring his teeth and getting ready to roar.

"What, you want to fight me? You’re just a district colonel—don’t you know to salute when you see me? Bunch of punk soldiers!" another Special Commissioner sneered.

At that, General Kenneth Li finally snapped. He clenched his fist and said, "Commissioner, I ask you to take back the word 'punk soldier.' My men have fought and bled for the Republic without complaint. If you won’t honor their bravery in the Anti-Japan Campaign, fine—but at least show them some respect. In one day on the Japanese front, my men killed more invaders than you’ll see in a lifetime!"

"Kenneth Li, do you even know who you’re talking to? You’re way out of line! Think you’re hot stuff just because you fought the Japanese? Did headquarters authorize you? You acted on your own, disobeyed orders—don't think I won't shoot you right now!" Another Commissioner walked over, actually reaching for his gun!

"What, you want to shoot me? Even at Commission headquarters, nobody’s ever dared point a gun at my head. You Special Commissioners sure are something—go ahead, shoot!" Kenneth Li tore open his uniform, revealing rows of scars to the crowd.

"You think I won’t? You punk soldier!" The Commissioner whipped out his gun. Everyone around stared wide-eyed—these people had all survived gunfire and battle, so nobody was scared. If anything, their eyes flashed with fury...
