Two Storm Clouds Collide
Felix Xi slapped her hand away.
"What's wrong?" Grace asked.
"That Evan Xiao—isn't he the Crown Prince of the Dragon Clan?" Felix asked.
"How do you know? Who told you that?" Grace frowned.
"My mom met him before. She recognized him right away."
"So that's what happened..." Grace recalled that awkward meeting—his mom's expression really was a little off...
"Why has he disappeared now, too?"
"Sigh! It's a long story."
"Then make it short."
"He was hit by the Immortal Love Hex. After I removed it, he forgot all about love—and forgot me!" Grace shrugged.
"Forgotten love?" Felix Xi frowned. "So, he won't come looking for you anymore?"
Grace kept wiping his face and said, "If he comes looking for me, it'll be to settle the score."
"Settle what score?"
"Hehe, that's a secret!"
Felix looked at her. "You can still laugh? Aren't you sad?"
"Saying I'm not sad would be a lie," Grace replied. "But what can you do? People just have to learn to accept reality."
Felix was silent for a moment, then said, "Why don't you marry me instead?"
Grace: "Huh?"
"My mom wants you to marry me."
"Pfft!" Grace burst out laughing. "Are you trying to kill me with laughter?"
"What's so funny?" Felix suddenly stood up.
"Oh, don't be mad, little bro!"
"I'm older than you."
"Brother!" Grace grinned at him. "My dear Felix, I totally get your mom's idea. She thinks, since I inherited your dad's legacy, marrying you would keep it all in the family!"
Felix said nothing.
"But marriage... If you get it right, it's one of life's greatest joys. If you get it wrong, it's just two stagnant ponds, never making a ripple. That's just boring!"
Felix looked at her. "So marrying me would be two stagnant ponds?"
Grace walked up to him and asked, "Do you even like me?"
Felix looked at her face, his ears turning red. He turned away and muttered, "Nope!"
"See? Imagine being stuck with someone you don't even like, sharing a bed every night. How miserable would that be, right?" Grace patted his shoulder. "Just stay my brother and senior! Worst case, when I die, I'll pass the legacy to your son."
Felix sat down angrily and gnawed on his rations.
His mom didn't want her to marry him just because of the legacy.
He... wasn't, either.
...
Evan Xiao found Grace Zhu, only to see her bouncing around, teasing a cold and handsome young man.
She was wiping his face again.
She patted his shoulder again.
And shamelessly called him brother.
Was she the one in trouble?
Clearly, it was the boy who was in trouble!
What a shameless woman!
Earlier, she hugged him and said she didn't want him to pick a consort.
Now she's flirting and getting handsy with another guy.
He must be crazy to have come here!
The Crown Prince left, cold as ice.
Two storm clouds collided above, and suddenly, it started to rain.
Poor Felix and Grace got drenched to the bone.
"Oh no, why is it raining?" Suddenly, a voice called out from the tree.
They looked up to see a massive bird's nest in a big tree.
The voice was coming from inside the nest.
"Rina Chu!" Grace called out.
"Huh? Who's calling me?" A head poked out from the bird's nest—it was Rina Chu, of course.
