Leo Chen placed the black leather-bound ledger onto his desk, flipped it open, and began meticulously jotting down numbers and names. After double-checking everything, he closed the ledger, returned it to the safe, locked it, and entered a password. Only then did he get up, leave the basement, head back to the counter, pull out his phone, and dial a number. "Boss, it's done!" he said.
On the other end, Hugo Hu's cheerful voice came through: "Mm, good! Good! So, where's Mr. Nika now?"
"Oh, he's busy with women, hehe—out in the Burmese jungle growing opium. No soft, fair-skinned ladies there, so this time he came over just to indulge himself!"
"Oh! Haha—what an old pervert! Make sure the girls treat him well, he's one of our biggest clients!" Hugo Hu laughed.
"Got it, Boss. Uh—when do you plan to ship this batch of goods to Hong Kong?" Leo Chen asked.
Hugo Hu replied, "Uh—things are pretty tense right now. The Thirteen Enforcers are splitting up, and our second-in-command, Andrew Qi, tried to seize power but failed miserably. Now he's fled to Macau. I'll find more human mules, make them swallow condoms to smuggle the goods over, but it'll take some time to gather enough people!"
"Alright, we'll do as you say, Boss! I'll head back now—" Leo Chen said.
Hahaha—Leo, is your Russian hottie feeling neglected again? Racing home to give her some loving, huh?
Hehe—yeah! That woman can't sleep unless she gets laid every day. Gotta put in the work myself—no rest for the wicked!
Hahaha—then get moving and rock her world! I won’t hold you up—go have your fun! Later!
Leo Chen hung up, strode out of the Golden Splendor Nightclub, where a Blue Wolf Syndicate member had already brought around a black car. The man opened the door and respectfully ushered Leo inside. Once in, Leo fished out a bottle of pills from his pocket, twisted off the cap, poured three little blue tablets into his palm, and swallowed them with a wicked grin. "Damn it, you little minx, tonight I'll make you beg for mercy! Let's see how cocky you are then!"
As soon as Leo Chen drove away, Shawn Young finally withdrew his power—"whoosh"—and the image on the table vanished instantly.
After releasing his power, Shawn Young wiped sweat from his brow. The Yuan Light Technique always burned a lot of energy, but he quickly turned to Ken Lin, curiosity piqued: "Brother Lin, do you think Leo Chen's got some kind of health problem? He was popping pills just now!"
Ken Lin cursed from the side, "Damn, that old fox Leo Chen must have serious kidney issues! He just swallowed Viagra, three at once! The guy's nuts—he won't be sleeping tonight! Damn!!"
Shawn Young didn't quite get it, so he asked dumbly, "Viagra? What's that?"
Ken Lin paused, then grinned as he patted Shawn Young's shoulder. "Hehe, bro, Viagra's Chinese name is Wan Ai Ke! Haha, but guys like us, so full of youthful energy, don't need that stuff—we can go all night without it!"
Shawn Young finally understood, and he grinned knowingly at Ken Lin. "Hahaha—exactly! We never need that stuff!"
Ken Lin leaned in, gossip written all over his face, and whispered, "Hey—bro, that Miss Lilian Grace at Southern University is a real stunner, top shelf! And I can tell she's into you, hehe—have you hooked up with her yet?"
Shawn Young froze, his face flushing red. "Damn—you noticed? Not yet, but I will, soon enough!"
Mm, I’m rooting for you! Don’t let some other guy swoop in and steal her, or you’ll be left holding your own. Trust me, missing out is way worse than waiting—never break nature’s rules!
Shawn Young suddenly realized Ken Lin’s mind was just as dirty as Big Boss Xu Dong’s. He quickly steered the conversation away: "Yeah, yeah, I get it. I’ll leave her for later! Uh—anyway, let’s change the subject. We’ve still got a job to finish tonight."
Ken Lin snapped out of it, rubbing his nose with an awkward grin. "Heh, that’s my problem—I start talking about women and totally forget what we’re here for. You’re way more focused than me, bro! Alright, back to business! That secret ledger is obviously Leo Chen’s record of all their dirty deals. If we get our hands on it, Blue Wolf Syndicate’s days are numbered!"
"Yeah—but how are we supposed to get into that basement?" Shawn Young asked.
"Oh, that's my specialty! I'm an elite in the National Paranormal Task Force, after all. Sneaking into places like that and grabbing stuff isn't too hard. The basement's defenses are nothing compared to real high-tech security! Do you remember the underground water and the safe's password?" Ken Lin asked.
"Of course I remember—" Shawn Young nodded. Ken Lin said, "Good, let's go. I'll show you what I can do!"
"Oh, awesome!" Shawn Young was eager to see Ken Lin's tricks for getting them into the basement. The two left the private room, Ken Lin swiped his card to pay, then led Shawn Young downstairs.
They quickly approached the counter with the hidden door on the first floor. Around them were five or six Blue Wolf Syndicate thugs keeping watch, and behind the counter were several big, burly men with cold, fierce looks—obviously Blue Wolf's top enforcers guarding the spot.

After sizing up the situation, Ken Lin pulled out a pale blue crystal ball from his pocket and said to Shawn Young, "Alright, let's go, bro. Time to grab the goods!"
"Uh—we're just going to stroll right in like this?" Shawn Young asked nervously.
"Hehe—pretty much! With this little treasure, dealing with these small fry is easy. Once they're handled, we can get in without a hitch! Watch me!" Ken Lin laughed, leading the nervous Shawn Young forward.
As they neared the counter, Ken Lin suddenly channeled his energy, casting an invisible spell barrier around them. He gripped the pale blue crystal ball in his right hand, formed a sword gesture with his left, and muttered a rapid incantation: "Dark Spirit Shift, Void Pierces, Phantom Mirage, Golden Light—Release!"
Immediately, the pale blue crystal ball in his palm glowed with a mysterious blue light—"whoosh"—enveloping the entire spell barrier.
Inside the barrier, the Blue Wolf Syndicate members shuddered as if jolted by electricity, their eyes glazing over in confusion.
Ken Lin pulled Shawn Young along, saying, "Hurry, bro! Quick! My Phantom Mirage spell only lasts a few minutes! Get in there and grab the ledger, I'll keep watch out here!"
"Oh, got it—" Shawn Young realized Ken Lin had used a spell similar to the Maoshan Mirage Charm and hypnosis. It temporarily froze the targets' minds, perfect for emergencies—but only worked on ordinary people, not cultivators with energy shields. Of course, it was more than enough for these Blue Wolf thugs, who were just regular guys!
Moving fast, Shawn Young darted behind the counter, twisted open the hidden door, and quickly reached the basement. He entered the password, opened the basement door, then the safe, and finally got his hands on the black leather ledger that decided the fate of the Blue Wolf Syndicate—and so many lives.
Shawn Young tucked the black ledger into his coat, relocked the safe, slipped out, closed the basement door, reset the password, and returned to the counter, flashing a 'K' hand sign to Ken Lin.
Ken Lin checked the time, nodded, and gave Shawn Young a thumbs-up. "Hehe—nice job, bro! You finished the whole thing in just two and a half minutes. That's pro level—let's get out of here!"
"Hehe—I was worried we wouldn't have enough time." Shawn Young had already come out, and he and Ken Lin hurried toward the Golden Splendor Nightclub's exit. Meanwhile, the Blue Wolf Syndicate guys outside the counter snapped out of the Phantom Mirage spell, shaking themselves back to normal—none of them had any clue what had just happened.
