"What should we do?"
After a while, the group of God-Kings had no choice but to give up. Even after exhausting all their tricks, they still couldn't break the formation, so they turned to the leading God-King for advice.
"Go report to Her Majesty the Queen!"
The leading God-King waved irritably. He'd thought this would be an easy task—surely with over twenty God-Kings, capturing two Godborn would be a piece of cake.
Instead, not only did they lose three God-Kings, they couldn't even break through the opponent's formation.
A Phoenix Infant Clan God-King hurried off to the palace to request an audience with the Queen.
"Well? Did you catch them yet?"
The Queen asked coolly.
The reporting God-King knelt, trembling. "Your Majesty, those two Godborn are too cunning, and their formation skills are extremely high. He set up a formation outside the tree-house, and we couldn't break it at all. We were even lured into a trap and lost three men!"
"Useless!"
The Phoenix Infant Queen flew into a rage. "You can't even handle such a trivial matter!"
"Your Majesty, why don't I lead a team myself?"
One of the Queen's maids spoke up. Though just a maid, she was actually a high-rank God-King.
After a brief hesitation, the Phoenix Infant Queen said, "Take ten elite guard God-Kings with you. You must capture those two Godborn!"
"Yes, Your Majesty!"
The Queen's maid nodded and strode out of the palace.
Soon.
The Queen's maid arrived with ten elite guard God-Kings. All were women, clad in silver divine armor, each carrying herself with a hint of arrogance. Their gazes toward the male God-Kings showed clear disdain.
"Greetings, Lady Cassie Snow!"
The leading God-King and his group all knelt.
In the Phoenix Infant Clan, the sense of hierarchy is strong—females hold absolute power. Even if a male is just as strong, he still has to bow and scrape before a female.
"Useless. Can't even handle this little task, and now you've made Her Majesty angry!"
Cassie Snow, the Queen's maid, said coldly.
"Please forgive us, Lady Cassie Snow. It's mainly because those two Godborn are just too cunning!"
"Hmph!"
With a cold snort, Cassie Snow ignored them and barked, "Elite guards, listen up! Break this formation!"
"Yes, ma'am!"
All the elite guard God-Kings answered in unison.
"Let me do it first!"
A petite, round-faced elite guard stepped forward.
"Lady Stella Snow, this formation is strange. Even with over twenty of us working together, we couldn't break it!" the leading male God-King warned.
Stella Snow shot him a look of contempt. "You lot are useless. Numbers mean nothing if you're all trash!"
With a sneer, Stella Snow strode forward, a green divine sword appearing in her hand.
Boom!
Sword energy erupted, radiating a terrifying aura.
This was a God Emperor artifact.
"Break!"
With a shout, Stella Snow swung her sword down. The void split in two, and the massive sword light crashed onto the formation.
Rumble!
A violent explosion burst out, energy shooting everywhere. But when the dust settled, the formation was completely intact.
"How is that possible!"
Stella Snow was genuinely shocked.
The God Emperor artifact in her hand was the Snow family's heirloom, once used to slay a God Emperor. Its power was immense, ranking at the very top among God Emperor artifacts, yet now it couldn't even break a mere formation.
Angry and surprised, she summoned her Avenue, merging it with her sword.
Boom!
Sword energy ripped through the void and struck the formation again, but it remained perfectly intact.
"I don't believe I can't break it!"
Unwilling to give up, Stella Snow swung her sword again.
Cassie Snow called out, "Enough, Stella. This isn't the place for your tantrum. All elite guards, attack together!"
In the next moment—
All the elite guards drew their weapons—every single one was a God Emperor artifact.
"This Phoenix Infant Clan really is loaded. Just look at all these God Emperor artifacts... Sis, if you like one, I'll snatch it for you!" Ian Song joked to Redmoon God-King.
Redmoon God-King, who had been a bit tense, couldn't help but laugh at Ian's straightforward attitude. "You! Even now you're cracking jokes. Aren't you worried they'll break your formation?"
"Heh, let them. If they break it, so be it!"
Ian just smiled and reached out to wrap his arm around Redmoon God-King's waist. "Let's go!"
As soon as they vanished inside the tree-house, the ten elite God-Kings urged their God Emperor artifacts into action and unleashed their full power on the formation.
Boom!
Whoosh!
Ten beams of light struck the same spot at once. The formation finally couldn't hold and shattered in an instant.
But...
What really infuriated the ten elite God-Kings was that after the formation was broken, there was no trace of the Godborn man and woman.
"Not good! We've been tricked—they've already escaped!"
Cassie Snow was furious. "Search everywhere! Our domain's grand formation is sealed—they can't get out. We have to find them!"
Somewhere in the Phoenix Infant Clan's territory.
Ian Song and Redmoon God-King appeared here.
Ahead lay a primeval forest. The smallest tree in this forest was ten thousand zhang tall, and all the ancient trees were blood-red, as if dyed with fresh blood.
"Sis, do you know the real origin of the Phoenix Infant Clan?"
Ian smiled and asked.
"No idea!"
Redmoon God-King shook her head.
Ian pointed at the ancient forest ahead. "This is the Phoenix Blood Ancient Forest. After a Phoenix Infant is born, they're not nursed by their mothers. Instead, they're placed inside these Phoenix Blood Trees, which absorb world origin and nourish the infants. So this forest is literally the foundation of the Phoenix Infant Clan."
Redmoon God-King was visibly shocked by Ian's words. She quickly guessed his intention.
"You're not..." Redmoon began, her face showing surprise and suspicion.
Ian Song gave a cold laugh. "I returned their little princess, and not only did they not thank me, they tried to kill me. I'm petty, so I'll destroy their foundation first!"
As for how he knew this secret, it was simple—his Divine Soul was so strong that he could easily plunder memories from any Phoenix Infant clansman.

During the banquet, after sensing something was off about the Phoenix Infant Clan, he quietly stole the memories of several clansmen.
"But if you do this, you'll make a mortal enemy of the Phoenix Infant Clan. And I've heard they have God Emperor-level powerhouses!" Redmoon God-King still worried.
"Relax! I've already scanned the area—there's no God Emperor here. Otherwise, I'd have left ages ago. Come on, let's go in!"
Ian Song took Redmoon God-King by the hand and stepped into the Phoenix Blood Ancient Forest.
