Forced Marriage

"Martin Markham!"

Seeing this scene, Tanya Zane’s face changed dramatically. She rushed over to Martin Markham and reached out to push him away.

But instead of pushing Martin Markham away, Tanya Zane was the one sent flying by the rebound force, knocked aside.

She fell to the ground, staring at Martin Markham’s cold, unfamiliar face, feeling like he was a stranger.

"Tanya Zane, back when I sincerely pursued you, you didn’t care at all. Instead, you fell for that so-called Master Lin from Seacrest?"

Martin Markham turned his head to look at Tanya Zane. "This time, letting you walk through Martin Markham’s door is me doing you a favor."

Your whole Zane Family can just use all your assets as your dowry. After all, if you want to climb up to our Ancient-Martial Markham Clan, you’d better show some sincerity.

Martin Markham’s tone was icy, and there was even a hint of satisfaction in his eyes as he looked at Tanya Zane.

In the past, even though Martin Markham was a young master of the Ancient-Martial Markham Clan, he never thought he’d have to use methods like this to get Tanya Zane.

But this time, things were different.

Master Lin from Seacrest’s sudden appearance had ignited a burning jealousy in Martin Markham.

As the young master of the Ancient-Martial Markham Clan, wasn’t Martin Markham far more distinguished than that so-called Master Lin from Seacrest?

Yet Tanya Zane had decisively abandoned him, turning instead to seek out Master Lin from Seacrest. In Martin Markham’s eyes, this was simply unforgivable.

"I never said I’d marry you!"

Tanya Zane bit her lip, her resolve unwavering.

"Is that so?"

Martin Markham wasn’t in a hurry. He pressed down harder with his foot, making Grand-Patriarch Zane’s face turn even paler.

The old man let out a miserable scream, wracked with pain.

"Wait!"

Seeing Grand-Patriarch Zane’s condition, Tanya Zane quickly intervened.

"You’d better think carefully, Tanya Zane."

Martin Markham’s voice was icy: "My patience has its limits."

"These past few days, I’ve tried to reason with you, but you haven’t shown a shred of gratitude. If that’s how it is, don’t blame me for showing no mercy."

"If you don’t agree today, I guarantee that everyone in the Zane Family except you, Tanya Zane, will leave this house crippled!"

As soon as Martin Markham finished, one of his subordinates snorted coldly, stepped forward, and stomped the ground. Instantly, cracks spread across the floor, making the entire house tremble.

The force of that stomp sent a chill down Tanya Zane’s spine.

"I’ll do it."

Tanya Zane’s face shifted through a storm of emotions. "Let my grandfather and brother go."

"Tanya…"

Hearing Tanya Zane’s words, Grand-Patriarch Zane’s face was twisted with pain and helplessness.

"Don’t agree…"

Zane Zhan’s voice trembled. Just as he spoke, he was kicked by a nearby thug, making him groan in pain.

"Relax. As long as you agree, we’ll be one family from now on."

Martin Markham withdrew his foot, put on a gentle smile, walked over to Tanya Zane, and helped her up. "How could I ever hurt Grand-Patriarch Zane or your brother?"

"And Tanya, don’t worry. Once you’re part of the Markham Clan, I guarantee no one in Rivercrest Province will dare mess with the Zane Family."

"The Zane Family will become the Ancient-Martial Markham Clan’s local representatives. As for that so-called Master Lin from Seacrest, I’ll handle him myself."

As he said this, a cold glint flashed in Martin Markham’s eyes.

"Not only that, Angel Epoch will also fall into the hands of the Ancient-Martial Markham Clan."

Martin Markham looked absolutely determined to win.

Tanya Zane bit her lip, saying nothing.

"Spread the word: the wedding’s in two days. Start preparing tomorrow and send out the invitations."

Martin Markham spoke calmly. Uncle Cheng quickly stepped forward. "But what about Master Lin from Seacrest…?"

"What are you afraid of?"

Martin Markham saw through Uncle Cheng’s worries and sneered. "You’re still scared after the beating he gave you last time?"

"Master Lin from Seacrest is nothing. If he dares to crash my wedding, he won’t leave alive!"

"The Ancient-Martial Markham Clan has never feared anyone!"

Martin Markham barked coldly.

"Yes, sir!"

Uncle Cheng straightened up. "I’ll get everything arranged right away!"

On his way out, Uncle Cheng shot a glance at Grand-Patriarch Zane lying on the floor, spat at him, and sneered, "Last time you dared back up Master Lin from Seacrest, let’s see you try again now!"

Grand-Patriarch Zane’s face flushed with anger, but he couldn’t say a word.

A tiger fallen to the plains is bullied by dogs.

Uncle Cheng worked fast.

The Ancient-Martial Markham Clan’s reputation was already formidable.

Just the words ‘Ancient-Martial’ were enough to make all the major families in Rivercrest Province and Harborview City flock to them.

The Markham Clan’s young master, Martin Markham, would officially marry Tanya Zane in two days!

The news spread like wildfire, instantly shaking countless people.

An Ancient-Martial Clan.

That’s a level of power most people will never encounter in their entire lives.

But now, the Zane Family had managed to ‘hug the thigh’ of such a clan?

The news broke, and everyone was stunned.

A night passed.

Evan Lin had originally planned to leave Oceanport for Harborview early the next morning.

But Old Madam Mary Zheng insisted on dragging Evan out shopping, wanting to buy him some clothes.

Accompanying the elderly, Faye Zheng helped pick and match outfits for Evan.

Leon Zheng skipped work, and Hans Zheng tagged along.

The whole Zheng family went out together, visited several malls, bought plenty of things, and finished with a stylish meal at a high-end restaurant.

The atmosphere was warm and harmonious.

That night, Old Master Zheng pulled Evan to play chess with him, going late into the night.

During the game, Old Master Zheng kept reminiscing about his younger days.

With age, the old man sometimes fell silent when recalling the past, sighing as he talked about old friends he could never meet again.

"Back before you were born, I always imagined having a grandson to tell stories to, stories about my era."

"But in the Zheng family’s third generation, aside from you, they’re all girls. Only today do I finally get to talk a little more with my grandson."

Old Master Zheng looked kindly at Evan, his gaze full of emotion.

"I’m already old. The Zheng family estate will one day be handed to you."

"I know you’re now Master Lin from Seacrest, No. 3 on the Oceanport Young Tigers List, with a lofty status."

"But I still want to nag a bit."

"You see Oceanport’s prosperity, but beneath the surface, the city’s land is soaked with more ambition than bones."

"You’ve started from a great beginning, but you must guard against arrogance and rashness. Only when a man lives to his final day can his life’s merits and honors be truly judged."

Outside the window, the night was deep.

It wasn’t until the early hours that Old Master Zheng retired to his room to rest.

Evan returned to his own room, turned on his phone, and saw a text from Tyler Tan.
