Come Back to the Palace with Me
"How can you do this?" Grace's accusation sounded weak.
Henry Tuoba looked at her, a mischievous smile spreading across his face. "This is fate between us!"
Tears streamed down Grace's cheeks as she gazed, eyes blurred with tears, at her parents.
Minister Zhuo's eyes reddened in perfect sync with hers.
Lena looked a little confused, unsure of what was real or fake.
Grace cast another tearful, pleading look at Colin Gu.
Colin Gu avoided her gaze, his whole body trembling slightly.
But he didn't say a single word more.
"Fine, I'll go with you," Grace sobbed. "Please, Your Majesty, spare my parents, spare the Blue Moon Kingdom."
"Alright. I promise you. Let's go!" Henry Tuoba took her hand and strode away.
Grace turned to look at Colin Gu, her eyes full of sorrow, wanting to speak but holding back.
Colin Gu watched their departing figures, his gaze shifting—first icy cold, then blood-red with rage. Finally, he slowly suppressed all his emotions and personally announced, "Today's state ceremony is canceled. From now on... there is no Eastern Palace Empress."
Minister Zhuo lowered his eyes indifferently and said nothing.
...
Once outside the palace, Grace found a quiet spot and looked at Henry Tuoba suspiciously.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Henry Tuoba laughed. "Did my handsomeness stun you?"
"Henry Tuoba, you..." Grace wasn't sure if she should ask.
"What about me?"
Grace was silent for a moment, then took a deep breath and said, "It's nothing, thank you, Your Majesty!"
"No need to thank me," Henry Tuoba replied.
