One Arrow Remains for Rivergate Mountain

Joe Di put away the two items and marked the spot where he found them before leaving. His first thought was whether he could escape this place; if he could return to the Five Elements Universe, he would need to consult Zachary Zephyr.

Zachary Zephyr might know something about this place that isn't shaped by anyone's Dao laws. As for dealing with Chi Yao, Joe Di had already put that as his second priority.

Joe Di hadn't gone far when he sensed a faint fluctuation. It wasn't quite a fluctuation of energy, but rather a ripple of Dao resonance and laws.

Joe Di immediately stopped. There were no cosmic rules or elemental energy here, so why was there a ripple of Dao resonance?

Soon, Joe Di understood what was happening—a shadow flashed at the edge of his divine sense. Clearly, someone else had entered this place besides him.

Without hesitation, Joe Di instantly darted over.

Joe Di's divine sense couldn't extend very far here, but within a few breaths, he could see clearly who was rushing ahead—it was Chi Yao.

Chi Yao's aura surged, his Dao laws clear and distinct. He had obviously stepped fully into the Fourth Step, and his Dao resonance was remarkably stable.

Even as Joe Di's divine sense landed on Chi Yao, Chi Yao acted as if he hadn't noticed, still rushing forward. With every step, Joe Di could sense the changes in Chi Yao's aura—a transformation of Dao laws, surpassing the rules Joe Di could immediately grasp.

Joe Di's expression changed slightly. He was certain Chi Yao had noticed him and knew he was being scanned by divine sense, yet Chi Yao acted as if he hadn't seen him, still charging forward. Clearly, Chi Yao was here for a purpose—either to perfect his cultivation or to refine his Dao laws.

Everything else, even his deep-seated grudge with Chi Yao, was set aside.

Chi Yao had already stepped into the Fourth Step. If he managed to perfect his Dao laws here, what chance would they have against him?

Without hesitation, Joe Di drew the Time Bow, nocking the Moment's Edge Arrow to its string. Violent time-space Dao resonance erupted around him. Chi Yao might not want to waste time, but Joe Di would not let him comprehend and improve undisturbed.

Joe Di was relieved that he arrived here before Chi Yao; otherwise, he wouldn't have been able to summon Fate's Loom at all.

The rushing Chi Yao sensed Joe Di's overwhelming killing intent, halting his steps and slowly turning to face Joe Di. With a hint of surprise in his voice, he asked, "You can use divine arts here?"

Indeed, Chi Yao was shocked by Joe Di. When he first arrived here, he could barely extend his divine sense and could only use the simplest divine arts.

That was why he didn't bother dealing with Emperor Ye and the other two, choosing instead to devote his time to more important matters. By the time Emperor Ye and Nick Ning could extend their divine sense here, he would be able to kill them with a wave of his hand. But today, seeing Joe Di, he realized Joe Di could use divine arts here—especially powerful time-space arts.

The only explanation was that Joe Di arrived before him and extended his divine sense here using his own Dao laws.

Joe Di couldn't be bothered to waste words with Chi Yao. He absolutely couldn't let Chi Yao continue his comprehension—he was already no match for Chi Yao, and if Chi Yao advanced further, they wouldn't even have a chance to survive.

Dao resonance flowed as the Time Bow was drawn, and the Moment's Edge Arrow instantly merged with its string. The violent killing intent locked down this segment of time and space.

In this ruleless space, a new law suddenly appeared—a law of temporal and spatial killing intent, belonging solely to Joe Di's Fate's Loom.

Fate's Loom weaves life and death apart; where the bow is drawn, time rends the heavens!

Even though his divine essence and sense were suppressed to the limit, and his Dao laws nearly crushed, when Joe Di unleashed the bow and activated Fate's Loom for the first arrow, he realized his mastery of Fate's Loom had reached a new height.

Before, his Fate's Loom had never reached such an extreme realm of killing intent.

Although Chi Yao had stopped, he still didn't take Joe Di seriously. What of an arrow? Even when Emperor Ye and Nick Ning locked him down with supreme bows and arrows, he left unscathed, even shattering Emperor Ye's Golden Arrow. The price was merely a grain of Rivergate Sand. That was with Zachary Zephyr's help; otherwise, one of Emperor Ye or Nick Ning would have been seriously injured.

But here, where there are no cosmic laws or elemental energy, being locked down by Joe Di's arrow made Chi Yao feel an indescribable discomfort throughout his body.

Chi Yao felt that no matter what he did, this arrow would not miss.

At this moment, he couldn't even summon Rivergate Sand, and could only stare at the Time Arrow. That Time Arrow gradually merged with the rules surrounding Joe Di, transforming into a brand new space-time.

The killing intent in this new space-time surged to its peak, as the Moment's Edge Arrow, carrying the power to tear apart everything in this domain, shot toward Chi Yao.

After the arrow was fired, Chi Yao let out a breath of relief. He knew this was related to Joe Di's strength—if Joe Di were on his level, this arrow might have cost him half his life. In reality, he didn't feel a threat to his life.

When Rivergate Sand was finally summoned—even if a little late—Chi Yao still believed it could block Joe Di's arrow. He felt a twinge of regret; had he attacked Joe Di the moment he sensed his divine sense, he wouldn't be at such a disadvantage now.

But at this moment, perfecting the universe's Dao laws was most important to him. Joe Di, Emperor Ye, and Nick Ning would be nothing but ants once he achieved perfection.

Boom! The Moment's Edge Arrow shattered space-time, striking the barely activated Rivergate Sand. The Rivergate Sand, as massive as a planet, immediately shattered, erupting into endless laws and elemental energy. Yet the arrow did not stop, smashing into a second grain of Rivergate Sand.

Chi Yao's hands formed seals like blossoming flowers, and the Dao laws around him seemed to condense into substance.

Bang! The second grain of Rivergate Sand exploded, Chi Yao's face flushed red, and his Dao laws grew chaotic. But instead of counterattacking, he immediately summoned a fiery Dao Vein. He knew Joe Di's Time Arrow should come in pairs; if he attacked now, Joe Di would seize the opportunity to wound him.

Just as Chi Yao expected, the moment he summoned the Dao Vein, Joe Di's second Time Arrow blasted forth, tearing through all space-time Dao resonance, unleashing every ounce of killing intent Joe Di could muster. This arrow seemed to shatter even Chi Yao's soul, erasing all his chances of reincarnation.

In that instant, time stood still, space stood still, and reincarnation was torn apart...

The only thing moving forward was that Time Arrow—as if it were the sole moment of time left in the universe, the only thing that could still move.

Where the bow releases, time halts; one arrow locks down reincarnation!

Chi Yao sneered coldly. Joe Di only had two Moment's Edge Arrows left; once those were spent, even if it took time, Chi Yao would make sure Joe Di received a punishment he would never forget. After all, this second arrow was still under his control.

Boom! The Moment's Edge Arrow slammed into the Dao Vein, erupting with endless Dao laws. The violent resonance of time and space rebounded from the Dao Vein, striking Chi Yao, who could no longer hold back—a spray of blood shot from his mouth.

Yet Chi Yao was not alarmed, but delighted. He strode forward, and Rivergate Sand formed a Rivergate Galaxy to lock down this stretch of space. Today, even if he did not kill Joe Di, he would make sure Joe Di could never again ambush him with such terrifying time-space arrows.

But just as Chi Yao's Rivergate Sand was condensing into the cosmic galaxy, before it could completely seal the space, his face grew pale.

He sensed a terrifying aura of annihilation—a killing intent that still belonged to the Moment's Edge Arrow, to that fleeting instant. In other words, Joe Di did not have just two Moment's Edge Arrows; there was a third.

Let not the lone wheel return to the sea cave—still an arrow remains for Tianshan!
