Suitable for Roasting
She was a Demon Slayer, yet here she was—caught by a demon.
Lily Bai crouched on the back of a massive Sky Beast, sneakily eyeing the tall, lean figure in black ahead.
What kind of demon is this guy?
He sealed her spirit power with just one finger, snatched her up into midair—neither here nor there...
"Hey!" she called out.
The man in front turned his head, long hair blowing in the wind, cold and untamed.
Lily Bai froze, her eyes glued to him.
She’d been too busy struggling when she was first grabbed—never got a good look.
But now that she saw him... what kind of world-class beauty was this?
Sword-like brows, star-bright eyes, with the corners just slightly upturned.
His nose was perfectly straight, almost impossibly refined.
He was gorgeous—except for the chilling aura that surrounded him.
Honestly, not even in her dreams could she conjure up a guy this handsome...
Uh, make that a male demon.
Demons were either stunningly beautiful or hideously ugly—rarely anything in between. Today, she’d met the absolute pinnacle of the 'stunning' category.
If she could catch him, tame him, and keep him by her side... Tsk tsk tsk!
Seeing her call out but then just stare hungrily at him, the demon walked over.
His robes fluttered in the wind, revealing red, dark-patterned embroidery—strikingly beautiful.
But the pressure he gave off was immense.
Lily Bai took a step back and asked, "What kind of demon are you, and why did you capture me?"
The male demon stopped in front of her and said two words: "Take a guess."
His voice had a chilling, seductive edge.
Lily Bai: "Wait, do you have a crush on me? I know I'm cute, but sorry, I've never considered dating a demon... haha!"
The drop-dead gorgeous demon studied her for a moment, then suddenly lifted her chin and examined her face. "You think you're cute?"
Lily Bai raised an eyebrow. "You don't think so?"
She was pretty proud of her looks, honestly.
"When I look at humans, I only care if they're tasty or not."
Lily's confident smile froze on her face: "..."
Seriously, with a face like that, can't we just have a little harmless flirting?
As he spoke, the demon suddenly leaned in, bringing his nose close to her face and sniffing.
His face suddenly magnified right in front of her. Lily’s eyes went wide, her whole body stiffening.
"Hmm, tender meat, smells delicious—perfect for roasting." The demon released her and said to the Sky Beast at his feet, "Find us a spot!"
The Sky Beast was huge, but incredibly obedient.
At his words, it glanced down a few times, then began to dive, finally landing in a scenic valley.
There were lush green trees everywhere, full of life.
A small stream ran clear and bright.
By the stream was a wide patch of open ground, covered in vibrant green grass, which bent and swayed in the wind as the Sky Beast landed.
The demon grabbed Lily Bai's arm and flew her down to the grass.
He looked around, quite satisfied, and said to the Sky Beast, "You picked a good spot—perfect for setting up a barbecue grill."
At his words, the Sky Beast transformed into human form.
She was a woman!
Tall and well-featured, with a flame-shaped mark on her forehead.
Such a terrifying beast, and yet, in human form, she was quite a pretty young woman.
But her face was blank, her eyes cold, completely expressionless.
She waved her hand, and a pile of dry wood flew over from the forest. With a flick of her fingers, a flame shot out and set the wood ablaze.
It was a huge bonfire.
Then, both their gazes turned to Lily.
Lily Bai turned and ran.
