Cynthia Wu Is Pregnant

Cynthia Wu's face flushed as she leaned in close to Lily Evans and whispered, "Lily, I'm pregnant."

"Ah! You're pregnant!" Lily Evans exclaimed with delight, glancing at Cynthia Wu's belly. "So fast! You're truly blessed!"

"It's only been a month. My father checked my pulse, but Mark Hunter still doesn't know," Cynthia Wu said happily, gently touching her lower abdomen. "I didn't expect the baby to come so soon."

"When the baby is born, I want to be the godmother. That's settled!" Lily Evans quickly grabbed Cynthia Wu's hand. "I've heard the first three months are the most delicate, so you need to be extra careful. But your father is a doctor, and you know medicine yourself, so you surely know more than I do. I won't nag, but I'm definitely going to be the godmother."

Cynthia Wu grinned, "Deal! But as the godmother, you can't skimp on gifts for your godson!"

"Absolutely!" Lily Evans laughed, gently patting Cynthia Wu's belly. It felt so magical—there was actually a tiny life growing inside.

"Lily, you and Lucky... you've been married for almost a year now, right?" Cynthia Wu glanced at Lily Evans's belly.

Lily Evans chuckled. She and Lucky hadn't done "that" yet, so there was no way she'd have a baby. But this wasn't something she could tell Cynthia Wu, so she simply said, "Having kids is all about fate. When the time's right, it'll happen."

"True, it's all fate," Cynthia Wu replied with a smile.

A few days later, it was the day Lily Evans's family's first batch of mushrooms matured.

Leonard Li personally brought several purchasing managers from the capital, treating them to delicious food and drinks. Afterwards, he and Lily Evans led the managers to the mushroom house at Lily's home.

Along the way, the managers raised many doubts about buying mushrooms.

"Lady Lily, we've only ever heard of mushrooms being foraged from the mountains, never grown by hand. Are these mushrooms even edible?" one manager asked.

Lily Evans smiled, "Why not see for yourselves?"

With that, she pushed open the door to a mushroom house and invited everyone inside.

Inside, the mushroom house was warm and humid, much more comfortable than the chilly air outside. Rows upon rows of plump, tender mushrooms glistened with freshness, looking incredibly tempting.

The managers stared in amazement. This young lady really managed to grow mushrooms!

"These are our mushrooms. As for quality, you all know your business—feel free to inspect them yourselves." Belle greeted the managers, showing them around the mushroom house.

"Wow, these mushrooms are fantastic—much better than the wild ones we collect for our restaurant!" The manager from the Shen family squeezed a mushroom, marveling at its smooth, plump feel.

"Exactly! Wild mushrooms are all different sizes and qualities, but Lady Lily's mushrooms are uniform, plump, and top-notch—so much better than the wild ones!"

Lily Evans smiled, "We have a hundred acres of land, all filled with mushroom houses like this. We have a steady supply and guarantee the quality. As you've seen, once our mushrooms are turned into dishes, they're absolutely delicious and will make your business boom. And best of all, our mushrooms grow even in winter. Just think—while other restaurants can't get mushrooms in the cold season, yours can. Won't that bring in even more customers?"

"Lady Lily is absolutely right!" The managers, having seen it for themselves, were thoroughly convinced.

Before they left, they all placed large orders for Lily Evans's mushrooms, eager to get ahead of the competition.
