I'm Not Stupid

"Where have you been? Why are you only just getting back?" Grace asked.

I've been in your arms this whole time. It took a lot of effort to sneak away...

"Say something! Steward Qin and Louis Lin had no idea where you went!" Grace frowned.

She had waited here for him for half a day, and with no one knowing his whereabouts, Grace was really worried.

Evan Xiao glanced at Louis Lin beside him, who quickly lowered his head.

He really wasn't good at lying.

Especially when he saw Miss Grace holding their lord in her arms and then asking where he was, his tongue got all twisted and he just blurted out that he didn't know.

Apparently, that "I don't know" made Miss Grace even more worried.

"I just went to the military camp," Evan Xiao said.

"From now on, let someone know where you're going. Otherwise, no one can find you and we'll all be worried," Grace said.

"You seem to be worrying about me a lot lately."

Grace was silent for a moment and said, "Colin Gu knows about us, but he's keeping quiet. That makes it even more worrying... His two bodyguards are both really strong. I'm afraid they might try something against you."

"Don't worry!" Evan Xiao hooked her chin with his finger. "So, what did you come to see me about?"

At that, Grace perked up, spun around, and asked, "Take a look at me—do you notice anything different?"

Evan Xiao looked her up and down, his gaze lingering on her chest. He raised an eyebrow, "Seems a bit bigger."

"Where are you looking! Pervert!" Grace covered her chest. "I meant my cultivation—I'm Spirit Master, Ninth Rank now!"

"Really? Let me take a good look!" Evan Xiao sat down, pulled her onto his lap, and held her. "Hmm, you really are Ninth Rank now!"

"Didn't you say you'd teach me a sigil technique when I reached Ninth Rank?" Grace said. "That's why I came to find you."

"Alright. I'll teach you." Evan Xiao took her hand and, keeping his promise, taught her the Blood Sigil technique.

The sigil method was simple: use your own blood, blend in a trace of elemental power, draw a simple symbol, and brand it onto whatever you want to seal.

Once the blood dried, the symbol would disappear, looking quite mysterious.

Grace picked it up instantly, mastering it in just one try...

One try.

Evan Xiao looked at the girl in his arms, outwardly calm but inwardly astonished.

That symbol really was simple, but it was a Divine Race technique.

It wasn't easy to draw it with her barely-there elemental power.

He'd thought she'd need months of hard practice to pull it off.

But she did it in one try...

Evan Xiao was known as the greatest genius in the Divine Realm.

When he first learned this technique as a child, it took him two or three tries to get it right...

...

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Grace felt Evan Xiao's gaze was a little strange.

Evan Xiao said, "You learn pretty fast."

"It's super easy! I'm not stupid, you know! Or do you expect me to need ten days or half a month to get it?"

Suddenly, Evan Xiao wondered if he was the slow one: "..."

Grace's eyes twinkled as she looked at Evan Xiao. "So if I put a sigil on something, I'll know if someone touches it?"

"Yes. And if your elemental power is strong enough, you can even see who it was."

That's a pretty handy trick!

Grace's eyes lit up. "Then... can I put a sigil on you?"

That way, if any woman touches him, she'll know right away!
