"Brother, is that all?" Henry Di watched as Joe Di merely patted their father's body for over ten minutes, then forcefully fed him a pitch-black pill.
"Yes, now his body is metabolizing. In at most three hours, all the toxins will be expelled, and then your father will wake up. If you don't believe me, just look at his complexion." Joe Di clapped his hands, hoisted the large bag on his back, and said.
Only now did Henry Di notice that the ashen pallor on his father's face had vanished, replaced by a pale white indicating malnutrition.
"Brother, these years Dad really neglected us and didn't fulfill his responsibilities as a father. And because of Celia Xiu, you suffered in Luojin City for years. But a son shouldn't speak ill of his father, after all..."
Before Henry Di could finish, Joe Di interrupted him, "Henry, let bygones be bygones. Just treat it as my previous life. From now on, I'm no longer part of Di Pharmaceuticals. I have my own path to walk. Whether we meet again in the future, we'll see. If we get along, maybe we'll even become friends."
Henry Di sighed, no longer trying to persuade him. Seeing Joe Di heading out, he quickly followed and asked, "Brother, was Dad really poisoned? If so, why couldn't it be cured before?"
Joe Di chuckled, "There are plenty of poisons that can't be cured. It's nothing unusual."
"Brother, I must go find that woman and ask her why she was so vicious, why she poisoned Dad." Thinking of Celia Xiu's face, Henry Di grew angrier.
"No need. They're already here." Joe Di said, opening the door.
Henry Di followed him out, still not understanding what Joe Di meant. But once outside, he saw Celia Xiu with a man, blocked by hospital security and arguing fiercely. He even heard Celia Xiu say, "If your director doesn't come, does that mean I can't see my husband?"
"Henry, how long has it been since you came home? You haven't even handled company matters. With me here, your father is taken care of." As soon as Celia Xiu saw Henry Di, she shouted loudly.
Then she saw David Di and became even more furious, yelling, "David Di, who gave you the nerve to return to the Di Family? Get out! And Henry, if you keep associating with a bastard who's not part of the Di Family, even if your father is still sick, the other uncles in the Di Family won't allow you to keep making trouble."
Henry Di clenched his fists in anger. At this moment, he finally understood why every time Celia Xiu visited his father, Dr. Victor Zhao would always accompany her. Without Dr. Zhao, the hospital guards would block her entry.
Joe Di resisted the urge to slap Celia Xiu. To him, there was no point arguing with someone as good as dead.
"Gather all the directors and call a board meeting," Joe Di said to Henry Di.
Henry Di immediately understood what Joe Di meant and, suppressing his anger, replied, "Whether my uncles allow me to cause trouble or not, let's discuss it at the board meeting. I demand we hold it now—I'm tired of being watched everywhere I go."
"You, you..." Celia Xiu seemed driven mad by Henry Di, pointing at him and repeating "You" several times, unable to say anything coherent. After a while, she finally said, "Fine, as you wish. Let's see what the directors say at the meeting."
She had thought Henry Di was easy to control, but now it seemed she would have to change her plans.
......
Di Pharmaceuticals was still highly influential in Beijing, and its headquarters building had eighty-eight floors.
Celia Xiu clearly wielded significant influence at Di Pharmaceuticals. When Joe Di and David Di followed her into the large boardroom for the meeting, nearly all the board members were already present. Two burly men stood at the door—presumably to deal with anyone who dared speak out of turn during the meeting.
"Why are there so many people?" Henry Di asked in confusion.
There were seventeen people in the boardroom. Since when did Di Pharmaceuticals have so many directors?
Celia Xiu swept a cold glance at Henry Di and Joe Di. In her view, Joe Di shouldn't have been allowed in. But since there was a transfer document for Joe Di to sign later, his presence was useful. She even felt lucky to have caught Joe Di here; otherwise, there would have been lingering doubts about the future transfer of Di Pharmaceuticals' equity structure.
Celia Xiu completely ignored Henry Di's question. She stood up and produced a document, saying, "I now hold seventy-two percent of Di Pharmaceuticals' shares, seven percent are in Henry Di's hands, and the rest..."
Before Celia Xiu could finish, Joe Di stood up.
"What are you doing? We're in the middle of a board meeting. Wait until the directors decide whether Henry Di..." Seeing Joe Di approach, Celia Xiu shouted angrily.
Joe Di reached out and slapped Celia Xiu, sending her flying to the side.
"You're courting death!" a middle-aged director stood up and shouted at Joe Di. Joe Di didn't bother with his words—instead, he raised his hand and sent a wind blade flying.
A jet of blood spurted out. The middle-aged man looked at Joe Di in disbelief, then collapsed to the floor.
The rest of the board members stared at Joe Di in disbelief. Was he insane? They even forgot to wonder how Joe Di had killed Di Qiang with just a wind blade.
"Quick, get in here and restrain him..." Although Celia Xiu was a woman, she was the first to react.
The two burly men by the door rushed forward, but Joe Di sent out two more wind blades.
Two more bodies fell to the floor. The entire board finally reacted, scrambling to escape in panic.
Joe Di stood by the door, coldly saying, "If anyone moves another step, I'll kill you on the spot."
He had no time to waste arguing with these people. The simplest solution was to kill them all, take the blame, and then head to Celestia.

"Brother..." Henry Di stared at Joe Di in disbelief. Was he trying to get himself killed? How could this possibly be a solution?
David Di looked at the dazed Celia Xiu, who had collapsed to the floor, and said, "My mother and Henry Di's mother disappeared—was that your doing? And you even dared to drug Vincent Di. You're quite something, woman."
"Don't be impulsive, everything can be discussed." Celia Xiu was terrified. If she lost her life, what use would her schemes for the Di Family be?
What terrified her even more was how formidable David Di was. She also understood now why, after being caught up in the underground black boxing incident in Luojin City, David Di was still able to live well.
"As far as I know, Di Pharmaceuticals originally had only three shareholders: Vincent Di, myself, and Henry Di. Now, everyone hand over your shares and return them to Henry Di. Any objections?" Joe Di swept his gaze across the room.
At this moment, who would dare object?
Henry Di was about to speak, but David Di gestured for him to stop, then slapped Celia Xiu on the head, knocking her unconscious. Joe Di was certain that even if she woke up, she wouldn't be able to stir up trouble again. As for dealing with her, Vincent Di would soon wake up—he could handle it.
"Brother..." Henry Di finally couldn't hold back and spoke again.
Joe Di sighed. "There are cameras here. I did everything; it has nothing to do with you. Also, I'll restrain these people, and only allow them to leave after two hours."
Joe Di had won a ticket to Celestia at an auction. Departures were scheduled every day at 4 p.m. sharp, and it was already after 2 p.m. In two hours, even if they tried to arrest him, he'd be on his way to Celestia. By then, Vincent Di would be out, and with Celia Xiu crippled, Vincent could easily sweep the remaining directors out.
After saying this, Joe Di subdued everyone and said, "I'm leaving now. If I find out who caused trouble, I'll come back for you. Also, Henry, help me greet Qi Xiang at Yanda Martial Arts Academy—just tell him I've gone to the agreed place first."
Watching Joe Di walk out of the boardroom, Henry Di felt weak all over. If he'd known his brother would seize control of Di Pharmaceuticals this way, he'd never have agreed. This would ruin his brother's life—he could only imagine Joe Di would spend his days on the run.
......
Originally, Joe Di planned to visit Qi Xiang at Yanda Martial Arts Academy and then head to Celestia the next day. But after being forced to act so drastically at Di Pharmaceuticals, he had no choice but to leave for Celestia immediately.
It took about an hour to get from Di Pharmaceuticals to the Earth Federation Spaceport, and by the time Joe Di arrived, it was nearly 4 p.m.
The ticket Joe Di had won at the auction worked perfectly. When he presented it, no one checked his large bag, and even after disguising himself again, no one asked questions or checked his ID. Moreover, Joe Di was led to a private cabin, making him feel that his billions had finally been well spent.
As the plane lifted off from Earth, the Earth Federation headquarters on Celestia received the news: the person who had bought three jade slips had used the ticket to Celestia, had disguised himself, and the plane was departing from the Huaxia Federation Spaceport, scheduled to arrive at Celestia in forty hours.
"Hahaha..." Eddie stood in the Earth Federation's main office, laughing heartily. He had finally gotten some useful information.
No matter who this person was, he had to intercept him. When the plane arrived at Celestia's spaceport, Eddie would be the first to meet him.
Unfortunately, it was the person who obtained the three jade slips who was coming today—if only it were the one who got the ring, it would have been even better.
(That's all for today's update. Good night, friends!)
