Seeking Defeat

1/11/2026

At this moment, Andrew Han's eyes and mood burned with raging flames. Uncontrollable memories surged into his heart, igniting his deepest conviction. His Void Rift-tier soul true-form operated at an unimaginably peak state.

Everything was ready; there was no reason to wait any longer.

The immense power under his control began to brew wildly.

"Are you ready?"

Lu Yang, Andrew's path-protector, turned his head to look at Andrew.

He did not use a voice transmission; instead, he spoke directly, causing everyone at the bow of the starship—all the Humans present—to turn and look over.

Although their job was only to escort Andrew Han to this point and then return after delivering him to Light Clan Territory...

"Yes, I'm ready." Andrew Han met the varied gazes of the crowd, stood up tall, and faint spatial cracks appeared around him.

Ordinary space could not bear the might of his soul power.

Void Rift-tier—standing at the threshold of mastery—was considered an extraordinary high-level lifeform even in the cosmic starry sky.

"Very good, very good," Lu Yang said. "We are now within the borders of Light Clan Territory and about to arrive at the Arshen Tribe. The Supreme Light Clan is made up of many tribes; I won't go into details, but their tribal structure is similar to our Human halls, just far less centralized."

Humans have only three halls, but the Light Clan has many tribes, and no one knows the exact number.

Andrew Han stood up. "I know."

He had previously studied a vast amount of records and information.

Lu Yang nodded. "Be careful. Soon, we'll stay on the starship and won't go down with you."

There's no other way.

Lu Yang and the others were far too high in realm, their destructive power especially terrifying. The Arshen Tribe of the Light Clan could never allow them to wander freely. Moreover, relations between the Light Clan and Humans had already dropped to freezing point; the relationship between the two races was decidedly hostile.

"Understood."

Andrew Han's expression grew more solemn.

Rumble, rumble—the starship sped forward, and the outside scenery flashed by in a blur, leaving everyone unable to make sense of it.

"Almost there, we're close." Lu Yang explained in a soft voice transmission beside him: "The Light Clan knows you’re coming to visit the Arshen Tribe, but they have no idea of our true purpose here... This starship is traveling along the light-flow channel authorized by the Light Clan, and in three minutes, we'll arrive at the Arshen Tribe."

As he spoke,

Lu Yang sighed leisurely, "The last time I came to Light Clan Territory was to sign an alliance treaty. Later, they unilaterally tore up the agreement and even launched the Light Clan Incident, causing immense harm to our Human Race. The aftereffects still linger to this day."

Andrew Han didn’t respond, simply listening at the side.

"Heh heh."

Lu Yang suddenly laughed, "The Light Clan probably still thinks we’re here for a friendly visit. Their arrogance is truly twisted."

The Light Clan may not know, but everyone else did: they were here to challenge the Light Clan. To arrive with such an aggressive posture, to challenge so forcefully and unreasonably—this was likely the first time since the dawn of history. Even Path-Protector Lu Yang was excited and stirred.

And the Arshen Tribe—the tribe of the Light-Clan being Asheron Arshen.

According to records, three hundred eras ago, the Arshen Tribe produced a new-generation Void Rift Eternal King, with hundreds of Primevals at the beginning. This is precisely Andrew Han’s main target for this journey.

"Light Clan Arshen."

A bloodthirsty madness flashed in Andrew Han’s eyes.

Everyone thought Andrew Han volunteered only to compete for victory or defeat, to fight those two new-generation Void Rift Eternal Kings of the Light Clan. No one could guess what Andrew truly intended; it was far more than a mere challenge, far more than just winning or losing.

His Tenacity Origin Talent was waiting; the vast gray-white aura stored in his own World-Boundary Palace was waiting; Andrew’s soul and will at fifth-stage Void Rift held top-tier Cosmos Union power.

"Not enough."

"Just victory or defeat isn’t enough." Andrew Han lowered his head, his expression unreadable, quietly gathering strength. "Light-Clan being Asheron Arshen, I want to see you howl in pain with my own eyes. I want your entire Arshen Tribe to suffer the same."

"Years of preparation."

"This time, I’ll stop at nothing."

Andrew Han lowered his head, crimson light spilling from his eyes, motionless as he waited.

The starship platform returned to silence.

As Andrew Han’s Path-Protector, Lu Yang frowned, still uneasy. Unable to help himself, he sent a few more voice transmissions, worried that Andrew might make a mistake at the critical moment.
