Great Catastrophe Part 4

"Death Gate, open...."

In an instant, we were surrounded on all sides by swirling green ghost energy—dense waves of it smothered the air, and my own ghost energy began to drain away, sharp and violent.

A bird with a conical beak darted right up to my face, but instantly shrieked and vanished into the green ghostly energy. Hundreds of such strange birds disappeared in the blink of an eye.

The ghost energy quickly dissipated, and I felt a cold wave of relief. Victor Duan's face twisted with unease as he glanced at Ray Lin, the tension between them thickening the air.

"Don't dwell on it. Their speed is inhuman—one moment, and they're upon us. Your mirror's reflection can't shield against that kind of horror."

Just as Ray Lin finished speaking, a massive cloud of dust surged from the woods ahead, blotting out the light as trees crashed to the ground with bone-rattling force.

Now, we could see them—a monstrous herd of sheep-like beasts, their eyes burning with a hellish red glow, stampeding straight for us as if driven by some nameless hunger.

"Cao Wanzhi, let's join forces. It's in your hands now!"

Deathcurse bellowed, and I immediately linked the Specter Web to Cao Wanzhi and Deathcurse. With a hiss, Cao Wanzhi crouched low, his hands raised, and an ancient, battered camera materialized in his grip—its surface slick with an oily, unnatural sheen.

"Let's finish this in one go—manifest! Materialize!"
