This Meal Burns the Heart

Wendy asked in surprise, "Are you saying something happened again on this trip?"

Alex smiled mysteriously, "Who knows? Just keep a close eye, that's all you need to do."

Wendy nodded and didn't ask any further.

On the other side, Ethan Yin was with Violet Wei in a quiet spot, leisurely feeding the fish.

The fish here weren't just for show like the ones at home—they were real, edible fish.

So when a handful of fish food was tossed in, wow, the fish swarmed fiercely!

Violet Wei sat nearby, watching Ethan Yin patiently feed the fish. She asked, "Ethan, are you truly happy being with me?"

"Why would you ask that?" Ethan Yin's lips curled up slightly. "If I were miserable, why would I torture myself?"

Violet Wei's gaze drifted past Ethan Yin, landing on Jane Zhang, who was mingling with the staff not far away. She smiled softly, "You're right. Why make things hard for yourself?"

"Life's too short to go looking for trouble," Ethan Yin said, his eyes shifting to Violet Wei's face, a hint of unreadable meaning in his smile.

After saying this, Ethan Yin tossed aside what he was holding and said, "I'm going to check on the security. The kids are all here, so safety is a must."

Before Violet Wei could respond, Ethan Yin had already turned and walked away.

Violet Wei watched Ethan Yin's back, biting her lip, saying nothing more.

Was Ethan Yin really going to check security, or did he just not want to talk to her?

Was he tired of her?

Violet Wei's eyes dimmed even more. She looked back at the crowd, but Jane Zhang was already gone.

He left—was it to see her?

That thought popped into Violet Wei's mind and refused to go away.

Once you start overthinking, it's impossible to stop.

Violet Wei felt wronged. She wanted to talk to Cecilia Gu, but remembered that Charles Yin had just ordered everyone not to disturb them, so she gave up.

After Yin Siyang left, he quickly turned around to look for Ethan Yin.

Why was he looking for Ethan Yin?

Because right now, his only option for a heart-to-heart chat was with his eldest nephew!

Ethan Yin, looking every bit like a little grown-up, stood in front of a target, drawing his bow and aiming.

When Yin Siyang came over, Ethan Yin called out immediately, "Second Uncle, do you want to give it a try too?"

Yin Siyang walked over with a grin, stood next to Ethan Yin, took an adult bow from the assistant, drew it, aimed at the target ten meters away, released, and the arrow shot out.

He missed the bullseye.

Ethan Yin immediately drew his bow, aimed, let go, and his arrow nailed the bullseye!

Yin Siyang couldn’t help but clap. "Impressive! You’ve got some real skills for someone your age."

Ethan Yin squinted and smiled, "My dad hired an Olympic champion to coach me. If I didn’t learn properly, I’d probably get scolded."

Yin Siyang chuckled softly, "That’s true. You’re the future heir of the Yin family!"

Ethan Yin looked up at Yin Siyang. "Second Uncle, did you come to me because you’re trying to avoid someone?"

Yin Siyang sighed. "Why are you so clever at your age? Can’t you let your second uncle save a little face?"

Ethan Yin flashed a sly grin, "You said I’m the future heir. If I’m not smart, how am I supposed to help you earn more for retirement?"

Yin Siyang glared, "Hey, you little rascal..."

Ethan Yin burst out laughing. "Second Uncle, are you here to vent to me again? I’m not even eight yet!"

"But right now, you’re the only one I can talk to." Yin Siyang handed his bow and arrow back to the assistant. "Come on, keep me company for a cup of tea."

Ethan Yin handed his bow and arrow to the assistant as well, and walked back with Yin Siyang.

Even though Ethan Yin was much shorter than Yin Siyang in his uniform, his poise and presence were already starting to rival his uncle’s.

In other words, even though he wasn’t even eight yet, no one dared to underestimate him now!
