The moment Longhair heard Grandmaster Draco's strange, grating voice, he jolted in shock. He’d once had the "privilege" of witnessing Grandmaster Draco unleash his Heart-Eater Demon Gu to torment Zhou Ye—a scene that still haunted him. Scrambling up from the floor, pale as a ghost, Longhair stammered to Shawn Young, "Mr. Shawn, the old guy outside is Grandmaster Draco. He’s a Thai sorcerer, extremely powerful. He was hired by Goldtooth and Nika specifically to deal with you!"
Shawn Young nodded, then whispered to Longhair, "Got it. Longhair, you take care of Xiaoyue. Xiaoyu, you two stay in the room and don’t come out. I’m going to meet this so-called expert!"
As he spoke, Shawn opened the private room’s door and stepped out. Right away, he spotted a bizarre-looking, skeletal old man draped in a billowing black robe, standing seven or eight meters away across the hall. The man’s hands were hidden inside his robe, his eyes barely open as if he were asleep, but his hooked nose twitched constantly, giving him a sinister air. No doubt about it—this was Grandmaster Draco.
"Heh—heh—heh—Kid, you’re pretty impressive for your age, breaking my Possession Curse so quickly! Not bad at all! But what a pity, really, what a pity!" Grandmaster Draco said to Shawn, his voice oozing malice.
"Damn, you old freak! It’s scorching hot and you’re wearing all that—aren’t you roasting in there? Need me to help you cool off?" Shawn snapped, still pissed about almost getting knocked out by Longhair earlier. He had zero respect for this vicious old sorcerer, and could sense Draco’s power was formidable—a truly dangerous opponent. Without another word, Shawn decided to strike first. He focused his mind, summoned power from his Sea of Illusions, and with a flick of his wrists, true energy surged to his hands. He quickly formed the 'Heaven-Flipping Seal' and shouted, "Boundless Heaven and Earth, gather water arrows—break!"
As Shawn raised his hands, the air instantly filled with a damp, icy chill. A cold wind whipped up, and a burst of white water splashed into existence, whistling sharply as it shot toward Grandmaster Draco. The speed and force were like super-high-pressure water jets—deadly, concentrated, and way more destructive than bullets from a machine gun! Shawn attacked with fury, and the barrage was relentless and overwhelming.
"Ugh—" Grandmaster Draco hadn’t expected Shawn to go all out so suddenly, giving him zero chance to show off. He froze for a split second, but the water arrows were already screaming toward him. If he didn’t dodge, their impact could finish off his scrawny frame for good. Forced to act, Draco swung his arms, and his billowing black robe trembled as he shielded himself. A burst of green light flashed around him, just barely blocking the incoming water arrows.
"Whoosh—whoosh—whoosh—bang—bang—bang—" The water arrows slammed into the green light, crackling and exploding like bullets ricocheting off metal. Gritting his teeth, Shawn secretly poured more true energy into the attack, making the water arrows even stronger. Draco’s green shield almost shattered; he grunted and stumbled back a few steps, shaking out his black robe—
"Boom—boom—" Flashes of dazzling green light burst out, scattering the water arrows midair. Not a single drop hit the ground—they vanished instantly, evaporated into thin air. Draco’s black robe, riddled with holes from the assault, fell to the floor like a pile of ruined mops—clearly, it was no longer wearable.
Grandmaster Draco himself had already retreated several meters away, easily dodging Shawn’s attack. But now, he was forced to reveal his 'true form'—a freakishly large head perched atop a shriveled, mummy-like body, so scrawny he looked almost pitiful. He wore a strange, dirt-yellow vest of unknown material, his hands clasped behind his back, and his skinny black legs looked like burnt sticks. Honestly, he was a sorry sight!
"Whoa, old man, you’re so skinny—were you breastfed at all as a kid? Or did you get poisoned by tainted milk powder? How’d you end up like this? So tragic!" Shawn couldn’t resist mocking Draco’s appearance, though his expression was full of fake sympathy.
"Huh—tainted milk powder? What’s that? Never heard of it!" Grandmaster Draco had spent most of his life holed up practicing sorcery and fighting ghosts and poisons. He’d visited China in his youth, but had no idea about the infamous milk powder scandal.
"Seriously!? Tainted milk powder is world-famous! Everybody knows about it! And you—playing with poisons every day, calling yourself a Thai Warlock, but you’ve never heard of it? What kind of amateur are you—" Shawn widened his eyes, pretending to be shocked, but inside he was cracking up.
"Uh—well—I really don’t know what this tainted milk powder is! Is it… really that potent? Where can I get some?" Grandmaster Draco asked Shawn sheepishly, feeling deeply "looked down on." His ancient face flushed for once, but as a top Thai Warlock, he prided himself on never being too proud to ask questions—even if his enemy was the one teaching him.
"Wait, you actually want some tainted milk powder? That stuff is so toxic, the aftereffects are insane! You’re not young anymore, you should retire and enjoy your golden years instead of messing with that!" Shawn said, all fake concern.
"Kid, just tell me where I can get this tainted milk powder! Maybe I’ll spare your life after I strip you of all your powers!" Grandmaster Draco hissed, his voice cold and menacing. He was actually desperate—he was working on a vicious new poison and needed something with a strong aftereffect. Hearing Shawn rave about the toxicity of tainted milk powder, Draco was intrigued. In his mind, offering to let Shawn live in exchange for the secret was already "doing Shawn a favor."
"What!? You want me to tell you, but you’ll strip me of all my powers? You might as well just kill me! No way I’m telling you!" Shawn rolled his eyes dramatically, laughing to himself—he’d already decided never to reveal the truth about tainted milk powder.
"Hmph! Kid, today I’ll make you spill the beans—no matter what!" Grandmaster Draco, humiliated and furious, finally flashed his hands from behind his back, whipping out a strange object that fluttered in the wind. Shawn caught a glimpse and his eyes widened in shock!
