Visionary Leadership
Lily Evans accepted the invitation with grace, elegantly settling into the passenger seat.
She’d been in the ancient world for years now, far removed from modern life—being able to ride in an automobile again felt almost like a dream!
Once Lily was seated, Edward took the driver’s spot and grinned at her, "Your Majesty, please sit tight—we’re about to set off!"
"Alright!" Lily replied with a cheerful smile.
Edward started the engine, and the antique automobile rolled into motion!
The ancient locals of Qin had never seen such a contraption before—people along the road flocked over to gawk!
Edward drove the automobile through the streets of Charleston, with Lily by his side. The residents along the way were all drawn out by curiosity.
When the crowd saw Lily Evans in the car, they all called out enthusiastically, "Chancellor Evans!"
Lily waved back to everyone with friendly warmth.
It wasn’t long before her automobile became the talk of the town. People chattered, "Hey, what’s with Chancellor Evans’s strange iron carriage? How does it move? Where’s the horse? Why isn’t it being pulled?"
“It’s not a carriage, it’s called an automobile. Chancellor Evans brought it back from overseas!”
“Imported fertilizer and pesticides were one thing, but now we’ve got this iron beast running on its own!”
“Chancellor Evans really is something else. She’s always coming up with new ideas and bringing back wonders from abroad.”
“No wonder the Kingdom of Qin is changing so fast. Education, technology, even the way we farm—everything’s different now!”
“If this keeps up, maybe we’ll be able to make our own automobiles soon!”
Lily Evans smiled at Edward, her eyes shining with pride. "Listen to them, Edward. The people are ready for change—they’re not afraid of progress anymore."
Edward nodded, his expression serious. "It’s thanks to your reforms, Lily. The Kingdom of Qin is on the brink of something extraordinary."
Lily laughed, "Extraordinary is good! Tell me, Edward—are we really ready for the next step?"
Edward’s eyes sparkled with confidence. "We have the production line set up, returning scholars trained in automobile manufacturing, and imported equipment from overseas. We’re ready."
Lily’s gaze was steady. "Then let’s show them what the Kingdom of Qin can do."
