Melting

1/11/2026

Night fell over Riverford City, the sweltering streets deserted and quiet. Dim yellow lights illuminated the residential complex, the greenery swaying in the breeze, and now and then, the cries of cats and dogs could be heard.

It was utterly silent.

But inside one apartment bedroom, a sudden, dazzling light erupted!

Buzz!

Within a kilometer, the air trembled, even the midsummer night wind stalled, and an indescribably majestic aura flooded the entire complex.

It was as if a primordial beast had awakened, shaking the world itself.

Even an ordinary Martial Lord would feel a chill of dread here, unable to stay and forced to flee.

"What's going on?"

In the building opposite, Miles Ning snapped open his cold, ruthless eyes. A fleeting trace of worry appeared, and he swept aside the curtains, shoving open the window.

Terrifying!

Something truly dreadful was brewing—about to be born!

"Impossible."

"The Law Realm has three tiers. I'm not the strongest, but as a Venerable with abundant Inner Origin, I still look down on all of Sinovera's land."

Miles Ning appeared expressionless, as steady as a mountain.

But inside, unseen waves of shock roiled. His clouded eyes flashed with sharp light—clearly, he was far from calm.

"Andrew Han is already at the upper Martial Lord Realm."

Miles Ning frowned, glancing across: "Beyond that is the titled Martial Lord Realm—fusion of heaven and earth power."

Never mind that Andrew couldn't possibly advance so quickly. Even in the most extreme case, if he truly did reach the titled Martial Lord Realm, this kind of majestic aura would still be impossible.

"Strange, very strange."

"Titled Martial Lord Realm—fusion of heaven and earth power. Even advancements to higher Law Realm tiers, I've seen before." Miles Ning stared at the flickering light inside the opposite apartment, a trace of doubt creasing his aged face.

For some reason,

he felt a strange sense of déjà vu.

At the same moment,

In the opposite building,

Andrew Han, wearing only a vest, his expression shifting, pupils contracting sharply: "What's happening?"

Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!

His Internal Power shuddered violently, like crashing waves.

As light boiled in his palm, his Solidified Core Internal Power began to unravel, all its force spilling out—the blue bedsheet fluttered, the box of tissues floated up, a half-drunk bottle of mineral water hovered in midair, and the desk he'd used since senior year, along with his old desktop computer, were all drawn by the pull of his palm, gathering toward Andrew and starting to drift and move!

The entire bedroom instantly turned into a scene out of a dream.

Invisible air, centered on Andrew, began to radiate out in glowing ripples... expanding in circles, wave after wave.

At this moment,

All the floating objects, pushed by the glowing ripples and pulled by the force inside Andrew, suddenly froze in midair, creating a bizarre tableau as if time itself had stopped.

"This is way too fast."

"I thought the transformation of Solidified Core Internal Power would be gradual, but it came so abruptly—completely unexpected, giving me no time to prepare."

Andrew frowned, glancing around.

His thoughts flickered rapidly, but in an instant he understood: in fact, his Solidified Core Internal Power had long been changing, but it was a matter of gradual accumulation—when quantity finally crossed the threshold, it became a qualitative leap.

Qualitative change is not the same as quantitative change!

Martial arts aren't like online games!

"Martial arts have infinite variations—how could they ever be bound by convention?"

"Even though I've never really played online games, I know you accumulate experience points and can precisely predict when you'll level up." All sorts of odd thoughts crowded Andrew's mind, distracting him and nearly destabilizing his focus.

But still—

The floating box of tissues to the left, the single bed hovering slightly, the mineral water spinning in midair... all these strange phenomena reminded Andrew Han that this was a moment of crisis.

A warning rang in his heart! His whole body tensed.

If his Internal Power erupted here, the entire residential building would collapse—let alone his own home.

"Calm down! Focus!"

Suppressing stray thoughts, Andrew bit the tip of his tongue. In those clear black-and-white eyes, an unparalleled brilliance of Inspiration flashed, forcibly subduing the changes in his Internal Power.

Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!

The glowing ripples gradually faded. All the objects slowly settled onto the bed and floor, like the aftermath of a storm, but Andrew had no time to inspect them.

"Leave."

"I have to get out—I'm almost unable to suppress it. The qualitative change in my Internal Power is like a flood about to burst its banks." Andrew's face flushed with an unnatural red. With a flick of his finger, he switched off the light and finally leapt outside.

As the force surged, he opened the window.

Just as his Internal Power erupted, he left the building.

Darkness shrouded the complex, the gentle breeze freezing the greenery, the cries of cats and dogs barely audible. In this near-silent night, Andrew floated in the air, unable to hold back the qualitative change in his Internal Power any longer.

In an instant—BOOM!!!

An earth-shattering roar blasted out, a shockwave like a missile crash.

Riding the surging force, Andrew twisted upward, shooting straight into the ink-black clouds, leaving behind rippling circles and a hurried sound transmission: "Master!"

Hmph.

Miles Ning let out a cold laugh.

"Kid, only now do you remember your master?" Though he said this, Miles Ning acted without hesitation. His deep-set eyes glowed with Inner Origin, as if he were a mysterious being ruling the heavens, suppressing all beneath.

Sound waves faded, the shockwave dissipated.
