Sea Domain Patrol Inspector

1/19/2026

Staring out at the endless sea, Evan Chu’s heart grew restless. He and the Silver Dragon were drifting above the vast ocean, the sea breeze brushing past his face with a chill. Glancing at the Silver Dragon, he asked, “Silver Dragon, what exactly is the Sea God’s Domain? Is it some kind of special place?”

The Silver Dragon swallowed nervously, then said, “Young Lord, the Sea God’s Domain is an extremely special region of the God Realm. The God Realm is split into land regions and sea regions, and from where we emerged, it’s clear we’re now in the sea region.

There are powerful experts in the sea region too—they just live atop the ocean instead. We call them the Sea Clan. But there’s a formidable barrier between the sea and land regions; for millions of years, almost no one has ever broken through it, so very few people even know what the sea region is truly like.

This time, we broke open a spatial black hole and accidentally ended up above the sea region. Getting back now will be harder than ever—the experts here might have reached the God-Emperor Realm, and there’s no way we could stand against them.”

Hearing this, Evan Chu suddenly felt unsettled. Elena Rainveil was still waiting for him to save her, and Roxanne Lin too—if he got trapped in the sea region, it would all be over. His heart instantly sank to rock bottom.

Seeing Evan Chu’s face turn grim, the Silver Dragon quickly said, “Young Lord, don’t worry too much—take things as they come. That spatial black hole trapped me for tens of millions of years, but you broke it open the moment you arrived. I believe you can break through the barrier between the sea and land regions too.”

Evan Chu wasn’t the type to shrink from hardship—the tougher things got, the fiercer his ambition burned. Hearing the Silver Dragon’s words, he pressed his pain down, forced out a smile, and said, “Silver Dragon, don’t worry. I promise you, within eight hundred years, we’ll definitely get out of here. Just trust me!”

“Of course I trust you, Young Lord,” the Silver Dragon replied. “You’re the most heaven-defying person I’ve ever met—even more incredible than the Primordial Dragon King of old. Following you, I’m full of confidence. But now that we’re in the sea region, we have to find the entrance to the barrier between sea and land. In other words, we’ll need to venture deeper into the sea.”

“Since we’re here, we might as well accept it—maybe fate really meant for me to come to this place. If destiny can’t be changed, then let’s just go with the flow. So, how about we enter the sea region now?” Evan Chu said.

No sooner had he finished speaking than a figure suddenly burst out from the surface of the sea—a person covered in fish scales, with a fish head and human body. He looked just like the merfolk Evan Chu had seen in the Mermaid Kingdom before, and Evan even wondered if the people of the Mermaid Kingdom were descendants of the Sea Clan from this region.

"Who are you, and why have you come to my East Sea Domain? If you don't give a clear explanation, today will be your death day!" the fish-headed, human-bodied Patrol Inspector shouted.

"Explain your ass!" Evan cursed inwardly. At that moment, the Silver Dragon whispered to Evan, "Young Lord, this one isn't simple—he's already at early God-Venerable Realm, and he's just a patrol guard! If even a patrol guard has early God-Venerable strength, imagine how terrifying the true experts in this sea must be."

Evan was also secretly startled—a mere patrol guard had such power. If they ran into a real powerhouse, who knew what level they'd be? Maybe, in the eyes of these Sea-Clan elites, even Silver Dragon was just an ant.

But everything can't be taken too far. Evan knew some things were best handled peacefully, so he said to the fish-headed officer, "We ended up here by accident and don't know how to get back. If we've offended, please forgive us—we'll leave right away."

A real man knows when to bend or stand firm. Evan could be stubborn, but sometimes he knew when to endure. He thought his words would make the fish-headed officer let them go, but instead, the guy burst out laughing.

"Kid, you still want to fool me? You don't have the unique scent of the Sea Region—you're obviously from the land. Are you here to spy on us? If you don't explain yourselves, you'll beg for death but won't find it!" the Patrol Inspector sneered.

Just now, he wanted to kill us on sight; now he wants to check our identity. Not bad—this fish-head isn't stupid. But Evan didn't care. He'd already given courtesy first; if the guy didn't know his place, maybe next moment would be his last.

"We've said all we need to. If you insist on keeping us here, then try it—I bet your Domain Lord won't be happy if he finds out a mere Patrol Inspector provoked unknown powerhouses from the land. Don't be clueless!" Evan snapped, his anger barely contained.

The Silver Dragon said, "Young Lord, want me to kill this guy? One strike is all I need—no point wasting words with him."

"No need. We're strangers here—no point causing trouble. Better to leave for now and figure things out later," Evan said calmly.

Evan's words seemed to enrage the fish-headed officer. He let out a shrill cry and his whole body rose from the water. Seeing his appearance, Evan almost burst out laughing.

This guy didn't even have legs—below the waist was a fish tail, only his upper half was human with two arms. That meant he couldn't walk on land; aside from flying, he had no other way to move.

Still, his body was huge—over three meters tall, practically a giant. Evan wondered if he could transform; if so, he'd be a massive fish. He couldn't tell what kind, but the head looked a bit like a carp. Evan wasn't sure if there were carp in the sea.

"How dare you be rude to this Patrol Inspector! Once I capture you, you'll know what real power is!" the fish-headed officer declared, his tone full of arrogant menace.

"Patrol Inspector? So he's got a fancy title, huh! Sounds impressive, but for a guy like this, it's really not worth it. Silver Dragon, let's just go," Evan said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

Silver Dragon glanced at Evan and asked, "Really just let him go? He was disrespectful to you, Young Lord. You're the king of the Dragon Clan—disrespecting the king is provoking the whole clan. I can't stand it."

Evan didn't care much about the Dragon King identity—he just wanted less trouble. But Silver Dragon's words made sense. He was the future king, after all; being pushed around by a lowly Sea-Clan Patrol Inspector was a bit much.

"Let him make the first move, then teach him a lesson—show him some people aren't to be messed with!" Evan ordered, his voice cold and confident.
