The Blackbelly Greenstripe Spiders kept shrieking, as if voicing the Spider Wraith's fury. Yet the water's surface remained—Spider Wraith no longer dared to let them cross so easily.
Fuming, the Spider Wraith turned into a ball of green light and vanished, while the spiders retreated significantly.
At that moment, the surrounding wraiths all revealed joyful expressions, but John Chou silenced them, urging caution.
“John Chou, tell me, where exactly is the exit to this ghost domain?”
The question came from the same wraith who had just mentioned the Seven Wraith Spirits, but John Chou only smiled.
“We can't leave yet. When it's possible, I'll tell you. After all, I already know where the exit is.”
All the wraiths stared at John Chou in astonishment.
At this moment, John Chou looked puzzled. He stared at the wraith who had just spoken and asked,
“The wraith spirits you mentioned—what are they?”
The wraith let out a surprised sound. It seemed some of them understood.
The wraith began to explain: wraith spirits are Blue Wraiths, born within the ghost domain, evolving according to the nature of their own power. The stronger Blue Wraiths can even release wraith spirits.
I smiled, thinking carefully—those scorpions that split off from Evan Zhao's body must be wraith spirits.
Several hours had passed. Many wraiths were beginning to grow restless, but the Spider Wraith was nowhere to be seen, leaving only a swarm of Blackbelly Greenstripe Spiders encircling them.
“John Chou, should we attack?”
John Chou shook his head.
“Stay where you are. Just support me from a distance.”
With that, John Chou stood up and floated forward. The wraiths parted for him. In a flash, John Chou raised Hell's Sentinel and charged at the Blackbelly Greenstripe Spiders.
With a swift slash, a spider shrieked as John Chou's Hell's Sentinel split it in two.
John Chou held Hell's Sentinel and smiled.
“So that's how it is, huh? Heh. Your name is becoming clearer to me.”
