Thirteenth Night Final Battle 10

12/15/2025

Tan Tian vanished, and Mr. Brown seemed to be searching for his whereabouts, constantly looking around.

Cradled in my arms, Isabelle Frost looked pale, her ghost aura extremely weak. She gritted her teeth, staring intently at the situation inside the Corpse Barrier.

"That bastard."

With a swish, I saw a ripple in the air. In an instant, Mr. Brown immediately retreated, but one of his arms had already been severed, as if something had sliced it clean off.

Immediately, a faint blue glow spilled from Mr. Brown's back, followed by the appearance of an icy blue, furious face. Mr. Brown's left arm was severed, and Tan Tian emerged, clutching the severed limb in his hand.

"Anger can grant you considerable power, but sometimes it's not always a good thing."

Mr. Brown's eyes, once lost in rage, regained clarity. His severed arm quickly regenerated.

"What kind of power is he using?"

I quietly watched Tan Tian. The ghost aura radiating from him was so intense that not only could he sever Mr. Brown's arm, but even approaching him would result in burns as if from raging flames.

"Everything in this world has a surface, a structure—a composition. Whether human or ghost, that guy seems able to see the surfaces that make up things, then strike at their most fragile points."

"Is that possible?"

I muttered, turning my head—Tan Tian had already vanished. This time, Mr. Brown didn’t freeze in place; instead, he angled his shoulder, six arms poised close to his body, and shot forward like a battering ram.

With a thunderous boom, a violent explosion erupted in midair. Mr. Brown crashed to the ground like a cannonball.

A chunk of flesh had been sliced from his shoulder, exposing white bone underneath.

Tan Tian stood overhead, still expressionless.

"Asura Form, First State—Rage. It seems it has no effect on me."

Mr. Brown scrambled to his feet and, with a whoosh, charged at Tan Tian again, fists flying in relentless attack. His eyes held nothing but aggression. Each blow thundered like an explosion, the Corpse Barrier swelling under the force but refusing to break.

Tan Tian’s figure darted through the air, moving as if by teleportation. Mr. Brown was a blazing red fireball, launching attack after attack.

There was no finesse to these attacks—just raw, terrifying power, a relentless barrage that left the opponent no chance to breathe.

Tan Tian didn’t counterattack, only kept dodging. I stared in shock at the scene before me. At that moment, Isabelle Frost crawled out of my arms and shoved me aside.

"I have to go in and help him."

"Miss Frost, the situation right now..."

Isabelle Frost wasn’t joking. She sat down, closed her eyes, and quietly regulated her ghostly energy.

I watched the fierce battle inside, thinking about what Isabelle Frost had just said—everything in the world has a face. But those things made no sense to me now.

The Corpse Barrier was an obstacle; we couldn’t intervene at all. I’d seen its power many times. Maybe a low-level zombie’s barrier could be broken, but this one was beyond even the three Emperors, and even Mr. Li Er.

I tried to link my ghost threads to it, but the instant I touched it, my threads turned to ash.

Next, I drew my Sword of Malice and charged at the Corpse Barrier. The moment the blade struck, its malice dissipated. I tried every method I could think of, but nothing worked.

Mr. Brown’s attacks were still ferocious, but Tan Tian’s silhouette was almost impossible to see now—Mr. Brown’s speed had increased yet again.

With a deafening roar, a massive surge of energy shot skyward. Mr. Brown’s fists slammed into the ground. My eyes widened—Tan Tian, though expressionless, was now trapped by six powerful fists.

A wild, manic grin appeared at the corner of Mr. Brown’s mouth.

"Got you, didn’t I? Your so-called 'Face of the Elephant' or whatever—it doesn’t matter. Normally, attacks have limits, but in the Asura Realm, there are no limits. Only infinity..."

I swallowed hard. Mr. Brown’s six fists were buried deep in Tan Tian’s torso. Suddenly, he rose up with a furious roar, lifting Tan Tian unsteadily and hurling him into the air.

In the blink of an eye, Mr. Brown’s six fists curled back. As soon as Tan Tian regained his balance, those fists struck out.

With a thunderous boom, a surge of fiery red energy blasted upward, making the Corpse Barrier swell violently. I was shoved backward by the force, feeling an unbearable heat.

My body was burning bit by bit, pressed to the edge of the Ghost Domain. Isabelle Frost was beside me, hands glowing with green ghostly energy as she struggled to hold back the advancing Corpse Barrier. She was barely holding on, and the massive red pillar of light only grew larger.

In a daze, I saw a speck of white—strikingly visible against the black ground.

"Mr. Brown."

I shouted with all my strength. Suddenly, a flash of white light pierced the darkness—a white, beast-like creature lunged, jaws wide, biting into Mr. Brown’s arm. A burst of crimson light exploded before my eyes.

The dazzling light stained everything red. I shut my eyes as the burning sensation on my skin faded. Slowly, I opened my eyes and looked around.

Mr. Brown floated slowly in midair, his six arms spread slightly. A gaping hole had been punched through his body. Tan Tian stood firmly above, gazing coldly at Mr. Brown as he fell.

"How is that possible? What did Tan Tian just do?"

Isabelle Frost beside me was just as shocked. With a crash, Mr. Brown landed on the black surface, motionless, wisps of blue smoke rising from his body.

"Just lie there and don’t move, Zhuang Xian."

Tan Tian’s tone grew harsher, almost as if he were issuing an order.

"Mr. Brown..."

I called out immediately, but after a long moment, Mr. Brown coughed and slowly propped himself up, shaking his head.

"It’s the Corpse Barrier, isn’t it? Heh, Tan Tian, if that had kept going, who knows who would’ve won! Your Corpse Barrier gave you away."

Tan Tian immediately swooped down, pressing a hand onto Mr. Brown’s head.

"What a shame. It wasn’t me who figured it out—it was that red-haired kid who told me. I’ve always been a bit slow, you know!"

With a crack, just as Tan Tian’s hand was about to touch Mr. Brown’s head, his entire arm froze solid, icy cold spreading wildly.

A black head sprouted from Mr. Brown’s left shoulder, still wearing a furious expression. The wounds on Mr. Brown’s body healed instantly as he slowly stood, twisting his six arms. With a snap, Tan Tian severed his frozen arm and floated away.

"As you can see—Asura Form, Second State: Iceflame."

Cold air began to seep from the cracks in Mr. Brown’s skin. As he hovered, the sound of ice shattering echoed; shards of ice scattered through the air.

"Definitely tricky, but your body won’t last much longer, will it?"

Mr. Brown said nothing, growing colder and calmer than ever. The anger faded from his face. With a boom, a streak of deep blue light traced a glittering arc through the air.

With a bang, six fists struck at Tan Tian. This time, Tan Tian didn’t dodge—he blocked the attack with his arms.

The sound of cracking filled the air as ice began to pierce out from within Tan Tian’s body, splitting him apart. With a bang, Tan Tian exploded completely. Mr. Brown kept searching for something—the Corpse Jade.

Suddenly, my eyes widened—a chunk of brown Corpse Jade, the size of a basketball, was plummeting to the ground.

With a crash, Mr. Brown dove to the ground. Instantly, shards of ice shot up everywhere, freezing the entire space inside the Corpse Barrier. I saw it—Tan Tian’s Corpse Jade, trapped in the ice, along with the brown substance trying to gather around it.

The ice cracked, inching toward Mr. Brown with his six arms raised. Gradually, the ice compressed and shattered, turning into flowing shards. In an instant, the Corpse Jade slid in front of Mr. Brown. He exhaled a pale blue breath, then struck the Corpse Jade with all six arms.

"Did it work?"

I stared in disbelief at the scene before me. Cracks began to appear on the Corpse Jade as Mr. Brown raised his fists again and smashed down with a thunderous blow.

The sparkling Corpse Jade began to split apart, bit by bit.

For the third time, Mr. Brown raised his fists, and this time the surrounding space instantly froze solid.

"You won’t get another chance like this, Zhuang Xian."

With a bang, just as Mr. Brown’s fist struck, Tan Tian’s voice rang out. But the Corpse Jade shattered into fragments, scattering everywhere.

Confusion flickered in Mr. Brown’s eyes. The hiss of melting ice filled the air as heat surged. The shattered Corpse Jade fragments instantly merged in midair, and Tan Tian reappeared above.

Mr. Brown’s six arms shielded his body—the Corpse Barrier was heating up, scorching my skin black. Instantly, a wave of green ghostly energy shielded me.

"So strong."

Isabelle Frost spat out two icy words. Steam rose from Mr. Brown’s body as the ice covering him slowly melted.

Tan Tian snorted coldly, then looked up at the sky.

"That red-haired kid—once we get out, he’s the first one I’ll deal with."

Mr. Brown was in bad shape, his face twisted with pain. Cracks began to appear on the icy blue head on his face.
