Bet with Hannah Han

"What are you thinking? Shelly is your blood-related little sister." Ian Song reminded himself in his heart, then quickly invited Shelly Song into his room.

"Shelly, do you need something?" Ian did his best not to glance at her chest and asked gently.

"Nothing, I just couldn't sleep and wanted to talk to my big brother." Shelly smiled sweetly, but there was still a faint hint of lingering fear in her eyes. Noticing this, Ian instantly understood—Shelly hadn't fully recovered from today's ordeal.

Thinking of this, he pulled Shelly gently into his arms, comforting her: "Shelly, I swear, I will never let you get hurt again."

Ian, who usually slept well, had insomnia that night. Early the next morning, when he went to the bathroom to wash up and saw his panda eyes in the mirror, he couldn't help but jump in surprise.

Just after finishing his wash-up, Ian walked into the living room and saw Shelly already dressed, coming out of her room. Instantly, a trace of embarrassment appeared on his face. "Good morning, Shelly."

"Good morning, big brother." Shelly's pretty face blushed as she walked toward the bathroom. As she passed by him, Ian quickly said, "Shelly, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to—"

"Big brother, what are you talking about? I don't understand." Shelly winked playfully at him and smiled.

"Ah, it's nothing. I must've remembered wrong!" Ian quickly caught on, and since Shelly didn't hold it against him, he let out a huge sigh of relief inside.

"Mm."

Shelly softly replied and walked into the bathroom.

After enjoying the breakfast carefully prepared by his aunt, Ian and Shelly walked to school together.

All the way there, Shelly chatted and laughed with him, never once mentioning last night. Ian felt even more grateful to her for this.

The next morning, JoyStream Video's filming crew arrived, led personally by Evie Su.

With the video on JoyStream gaining traction, Ian Song's title of 'piano master' had spread throughout the school. Not just students—even the teachers felt proud that their school had produced a piano master.

So when the principal heard that JoyStream was going to film Ian Song, he waved his hand and ordered Ed Huang to open the best classroom in the vocal-music building for the recording.

Five piano pieces, all original, and not a single mistake during the performance—so in less than an hour, all five videos were finished. Evie Su was extremely satisfied and even more awed by Ian Song's creative talent.

She realized that each of Ian Song's five original pieces could be considered a classic, and buying them for 100,000 yuan each was an absolute steal for JoyStream.

After the recording, Evie Su and her team hurriedly left.

Back in the classroom, every student looked at him differently—some with admiration, some with jealousy, and especially Rae Xiao and a few other girls, whose gazes were practically burning with excitement. If it weren’t for class still being in session, they’d have rushed over and surrounded Ian Song on the spot.

"Alright, big star, hurry back to your seat." Hannah Han teased Ian Song.

"Thank you, Ms. Han." Ian Song smiled. Suddenly, he remembered he’d recently drawn a chef skill from the system—maybe he could use cooking to win Hannah Han over.

The bell rang for the end of class.

Rae Xiao led a group of girls in shrieking as they rushed toward Ian Song, demanding his autograph.

"Didn’t I already sign for you last time?" Ian Song said with a wry smile.

"That’s different! You weren’t this famous before—you have to sign again." Rae Xiao replied sweetly.

"Alright then."

So, for the entire ten-minute break, Ian Song was busy signing autographs. Even students from the neighboring class heard the news and rushed over with paper and pens.

That afternoon at three o’clock, Ian Song received a call from Frank Zhao, telling him to come to the Zhao Family Boxing Gym at nine the next morning—he’d take him to the National Martial League.

But tomorrow wasn’t the weekend, so after school, Ian Song went to the office to ask Hannah Han for leave.

"What’s the reason?" Hannah Han looked at him coldly and said seriously, "Ian, don’t forget—you’re still a senior, and there’s just over a month until the college entrance exam."

"Ms. Han, I really have something important tomorrow. Please let me take one day off," Ian Song pleaded.

"I need to know the reason, otherwise I can’t approve it." Hannah Han still refused to budge.

"Ms. Han, how about I come to your house for dinner?" Ian Song suddenly changed the subject, dropping the leave request for now.

"Keep dreaming." Hannah Han scoffed, curling her lip.

"I've been learning to cook online lately, and I think I'm just as good as you. How about I show you my skills?" Ian Song said confidently.

"I’m worried it’ll be inedible!" Hannah Han scoffed.

Ian Song flashed a sly smile. "How about we make a bet? If my cooking tastes better, you let me have a day off. If yours is better, I’ll stay in class and not go anywhere."

Hannah Han didn’t believe Ian Song’s cooking could be better than hers, so she went along with it. "Alright, I accept. But if you don’t get your leave, don’t blame me for being strict."

"Great, it’s settled! I’ll go buy groceries now!" Ian Song dashed out of the office before Hannah Han could change her mind.
