Evan Xiao, Peel a Spirit Peach for Me

12/19/2025

Evan Xiao was dressed in exquisite black robes, sitting beneath a large tree. His posture was straight but relaxed, his expression calm yet radiating noble elegance.

Leon Zane and Bianca Whitefan sat to his left and right, with Leon pouring him tea and Bianca placing a platter of Spirit Peaches before him.

Both Leon Zane and Bianca Whitefan had the appearance and bearing of immortals, but in front of Evan Xiao, they seemed to show a deep, innate respect.

This only made Evan Xiao appear even more like a supreme deity...

When Evan Xiao saw Grace, he broke into a smile and waved her over. "Come here."

Grace walked over and sat beside him, saying, "This really is a nice spot."

"It is!" Leon Zane said with a cheerful smile. "If you ever have free time, you should come and hang out more often."

As he spoke, he pushed the plate of Spirit Peaches toward her. "It's a long journey here, you must be thirsty! Have some Spirit Peaches—they're the best for quenching thirst and nourishing the body."

"Thank you for your hospitality, Imperial Advisor," Grace said with a smile. "I've always heard you were aloof and rarely socialized with other officials, but it seems the rumors are wrong. You're actually so warm and welcoming—like a breath of spring!"

"Haha!" The Imperial Advisor chuckled. "Eat the peaches, eat the peaches."

Grace turned to Bianca Whitefan and asked, "Miss Whitefan, you asked to meet with me, right?"

Bianca nodded, her expression growing serious and a little sorrowful. "I've decided to tell you the real reason I wanted the blood test."

"What reason?" Grace raised an eyebrow.

"I'm just searching for my mother, who I've been separated from for many years," Bianca said. "So I wanted to use the bloodstone to test for a connection."

"You're looking for your mom? Is she at our manor?" Grace asked in surprise.

Bianca nodded. "My mother disappeared when I was very young. I've searched everywhere and only recently confirmed she's at your manor. But I don't know what she looks like, so this is the only way I can find her."

"Couldn't I just ask around for you? Does it really need to be so complicated?"

Bianca shook her head. "Something must have happened to my mother—she's forgotten her past and everyone she knew. Otherwise, she would have come home by now!"

"So you don't know what she looks like, and your mother has lost her memory? That means you'll have to test the blood of every woman in our manor?"

"Yes." Bianca nodded.

Are you kidding me?!

Grace cleared her throat and asked, "Then how do you know your mother is at our manor?"

Bianca replied, "I figured it out through divination."

"Pfft!" Grace burst out laughing.

Divination, huh...

That was one of her old tricks!

Are you sure you're not showing off in front of the master?

"You figured it out through—divination?" Grace raised an eyebrow.

Bianca nodded.

"Alright then... Evan Xiao, peel a Spirit Peach for me, I'm actually pretty thirsty." Grace tapped the table in front of Evan, asking casually.

Whenever they're alone together, Evan Xiao loves to feed her, and she's gotten used to it.

But as soon as she said this, both Bianca and the Imperial Advisor's expressions changed.

His Highness is the Dragon Clan's Crown Prince, destined to rule this continent. How could he possibly peel fruit for a mere human?

That's outrageous! You'll be executed for such disrespect!

Yet the future ruler of the continent, their Crown Prince, said nothing. He calmly picked up a Spirit Peach, and with those deadly yet elegant fingers, slowly peeled off the thin skin and handed it to Grace Zhu.
