Cooling the Fire

2/14/2026

"Clara Night, you wretched jerk, how dare you try to hurt me! Today, I'm going to show you what I'm made of!" Nina Xu spat out, voice trembling with hatred and fear. If Xin'er had been even a second later, her life would have been ruined—she wouldn't have wanted to go on living.

For her, being violated was the ultimate humiliation—she'd rather die than accept it!

"Sis, sis, I was wrong! I was wrong! I’m trash, I deserve to die, I’ll never dare again!" Seeing Ivy Shen looking so cold and hearing Nina Xu’s fierce words, Clara Night was genuinely terrified. She scrambled to Ivy’s feet, clutching her skirt and bawling, "Sis, please forgive me! I’ll never do it again, I swear—I was wrong, I was wrong…"

In that moment, all her pride and arrogance vanished. She saw Aiden, still mindlessly thrusting into the woman she’d just killed, screaming, "Miss! Miss!" as if nothing had happened. How could she not be terrified? Then there was Colin Kerr—going totally overboard—clutching the limp, unresponsive body of a chubby woman, pounding away at her backside with shocking force, even though the woman was already dead. She…

Was terrified!

Yes, she was scared—truly scared for the first time in her life.

"Sis, I’m trash, I’m trash, I’ll never dare again, please forgive me! I’ll never go against you ever again, just let me go!" Clara Night, naked and trembling, clung to Ivy’s skirt. No—she refused to be forced together with someone she didn’t like. She refused!

Hearing this, Ivy Shen looked down at the tear-streaked Clara, her own face as cold as ice. She just spat out, "If you knew it would come to this, why did you do it in the first place?"

"Sis, sis…"

"Clara Night, I gave you a chance. You didn’t treasure it. But the biggest mistake you made—" Ivy Shen stared her down, word by word, "—was messing with my guys!"

Seeing this, Clara Night knew she was doomed. Ivy's bloodthirsty expression made it clear she was not getting off easy.

From the start, you never should've set your sights on Adrian Night. Do you really think you're worthy of him? Don't you see being with you just drags him down and makes him look basic?" Ivy sneered, "You're a total normie, a full-on brainless loser."

Clara Night stared wide-eyed, unable to believe Ivy was roasting her like this. She snapped, "You jerk, I hate you! Why do you get all those guys? My brother's perfect—why should he have to share you? You slut!" Seeing Ivy unmoved, Clara just went off, cursing at the top of her lungs.

Seeing this, Nina Xu immediately tapped Clara's mute acupoint, and Clara's cursing mouth instantly fell silent.

Nina Xu spoke quickly, "Xin'er, there's Bewitching Powder in these trees—we need to chop them down." She knew Ivy would help, but as long as the powder was around, everyone would stay stuck in this haze, and who knows what would happen next.

Ivy Shen nodded, totally got what Nina was saying.

Seeing this, Nina Xu figured they were extra here anyway, so she dragged Clara Night and Aiden out, called to Colin Kerr that Liam Willow was here, and Colin tripped after her in a total rush.

Once they'd left, the place went dead quiet. Ivy Shen raised her sword, powered up, spun around, and with a big crash, chopped down a stubby poplar tree—it landed right on top of the naked women's corpses.

Judging by her turbo sword moves and all that internal power, Ivy Shen was seriously pissed. Only after the tree covered up the naked bodies did her rage finally cool off a little.

Then she rushed forward and, after only a few steps, saw her seven husbands sprawled across a clearing thick with poplar leaves. Their faces were flushed, brows furrowed in pain, and their perfect bodies were fully exposed thanks to those naked women who’d stripped them down. Even Ivy Shen, who’d seen all sorts of things, couldn’t help blushing furiously at such a steamy scene.

No matter how many times she saw this, no matter how long they’d been together, Ivy still couldn’t control her blushing and shyness when faced with such a sight.

"Wife... Wife..." Of the seven, only Butterfly Rogue was still barely hanging on. His eyes were glazed as he looked at Ivy Shen, mumbling her name.

Seeing this, Ivy hurried over and helped Butterfly Rogue up. "Are you okay? Hang in there!"

"Wife..." His voice was full of doubt. He shook his head and gave a bitter smile. "Am I hallucinating too?"

"Silly, no, it’s really me—Xin’er. I’m here." Ivy saw that Butterfly Rogue had bitten his own finger until it bled, clearly trying to stay awake. Turning, she saw that all six of the others had bloody fingers too. Her heart broke, aching so much she could hardly breathe. These idiots!

"Are you really... really my Xin’er, my wife?" Butterfly Rogue still couldn’t quite believe it.

"Yes, I’m Xin’er. Don’t you dare get into trouble, you big dummy! You still owe me a mountain of betrothal gifts, remember? I want lots and lots of them!"

At her words, Butterfly Rogue finally relaxed and gripped her hand. "It’s really you, wife... You really came?"

"Sorry, I’m late."

"No, you’re not late. I’m sorry... I failed to protect them. I’m so sorry..." Butterfly Rogue’s voice was thick with guilt. For all his years as a master thief, he hadn’t even noticed the aphrodisiac in the air. He really was useless!

Seeing this, Ivy didn’t hesitate any longer. She glanced around—there was no way she could help them one by one, so she took a deep breath and shouted, "Hey, are you guys dead yet?"

At the sudden sound of Ivy’s voice, the six dazed men looked up. Each of them was panting hard. "Xin’er?"

"Yep, it’s me, Xin’er. I’m here!"

"Really? Is it really you?" Even in their befuddled state, a tiny bit of reason remained, so they couldn’t help but ask.

"Of course it is, you bunch of dummies!" Ivy couldn’t help laughing and crying at the same time. They looked like they were dying of discomfort, yet still had to ask if she was real.

"Xin’er, Xin’er..."

Seeing this, Ivy didn’t hesitate and began stripping off her own clothes. Instantly, all seven husbands stared at her like hungry wolves.

Butterfly Rogue, plus Lucian Vane and Ethan Chu—who’d never tasted Ivy before—immediately started nosebleeding like hopeless anime boys.

Ivy’s whole body flushed bright red. If she could have, she’d have burrowed into the ground from embarrassment. But she knew this wasn’t the time to be shy, so she stepped into the middle of the group, scanning her husbands. Lucian Vane looked the worst off, so she bent down and kissed him.

A cool kiss landed on Lucian’s lips. He shuddered, eyes snapping open. That refreshing touch soothed the fire raging inside him. "Xin’er...?"

Ivy didn’t answer his shocked gasp, just kept kissing his lips and body. The rest, seeing this, crowded in closer, desperate for relief.

Ivy knew helping them one by one would take too long. This wasn’t the time for romance—it was triage! So she grabbed Lucian Vane’s, uh, vital part and went straight for it. Lucian let out a soft moan, finally feeling relief. Ivy didn’t stop there: she pulled Eli Crane close and kissed him, grabbed Ethan Chu with one hand, and Liam Willow with the other. The whole scene was so embarrassing she wanted to cry.

But she knew this was the only way to quickly douse the fire burning inside them.

"Xin’er, Xin’er, I want..." Adrian Night, eyes hazy, rubbed up against her back, begging for affection.

"Xin’er..." Liam Willow joined in, looking absolutely miserable, and Butterfly Rogue finally cracked.

"Wife... Wife, me too!" Butterfly Rogue, squished at the end of the crowd, couldn’t reach anything and wailed in frustration.

Seeing this, Ivy took advantage of the moment to break free from Eli Crane’s lips, gasping and blushing as she said, "Just—just hold on, I’ll help you all, really soon..." Before she could finish, Eli Crane kissed her again.
